How do people pay for medical school?

I have friends whose husbands are/were in the Navy, and they have been out of the country on long deployments. My nephew is in the Coast Guard, and he also has been stationed outside the country. So I wouldn't bet on those keeping them here. Good luck in finding the funding. It can't be easy.

Malpractice insurance certainly isn't cheap. I remember while working at the hospital in FL when the malpractice rates sky rocketed. A number of OB/Gyns stopped delivering babies. They decided to practice Obstetrics only.

Isn't there also a high cost for malpractice insurance? Maybe it is paid by the hospital if you work for one (I really don't know).
