My sister and I are planning to take our kids (DS and DD) to WDW next summer (July) on a surprise trip. Our husbands won't be there, so it will just be the four of us. We have separate contracts at different home resorts. We have decided to splurge a little and use our points for a conciegre room at the Poly (not the best use of points, but it is what we want to do).
My sister banked her 2004 points (February UY) for use in 2005. I have yet to bank my remaining 2004 points (June UY) because I may still use them this year.
We can make our ressie in August, but how do we go about doing this? My sister is using 120 banked points from her contract and I will fill in the remaining points from my contract. Can I simply get my sister's account information and make the ressie from both contracts? Or does MS need something in writing to do this?
Thanks for your help on this one!!

Can you do a conference call with you, your sister & MS? Transferring points can get confusing, especially with different use years.

Be sure your decision is final. Once you book a non-DVC, the points cannot be brought back to a DVC resort.

First of all you cannot transfer banked or borrowed points, keep this mind.

your sister is using her banked points for the ressies and your points uy is june 2004, your points if not banked will expire on may 31, 2005.

your trip is july 2005.

i would look at the points for poly conc., see how many you will need for the trip

and your sister uses her banked points for 2 nights (sun. thur thurs. 52 points). and she would have 16 points left.

you will have to bank your 2004 points and make ressies for 2 or more nights depends on how many points you are using .

or before you bank your points , you can transfer your points to your sister, how ever many you will need for the ressies. your sister then will bank your points. then your sister will make the whole ressies.

You can also throw the problem into MS's lap. It's their job to help you figure out the best way to accomplish this. The rep's I've worked with have always been helpful and generous with their time.

I linked reservations at the BWV using my sisters points and my points. Her points covered the first four days of our stay and my points covered the last four days. We called together and explained to them how we wanted to do it and there was no problem. We ended up with two separate reservation forms but never had to move. MS was very helpful in making it happen.

Thanks for all the ideas and info!
I will try calling MS tomorrow and see what they offer as a suggestion. For now I think a 3-way telephone call is our best option and least likely to cause MS too much confusion.
