How crowded do you think it will be next week since people we canceling due to hurricane Ivan. I was originally going the 11-19 and changed for the 18-26.

We have had this trip planned for over a year... We specifically chose this time of year for low crowd levels and then we found out that the F&WF had been extended into early Oct and now alot of rescheduling. We even had the kids start school two weeks early (homeschooled). Last time we went, it was late August and mobbed until after Labor Day so we had about 3 days of low crowds. Swore we wouldn't attempt that again.

Believe me, I realize that in light of what is occuring to the folks who live in Fl and other regions affected by the recent punch of hurricanes this is peanuts, but still bummed about potential impact to park statistics...

I don't think it's going to be mid-summer crowded. I do think you may find it a bit "thick" since so many people did push their trips off just a week or two due to the recent hurricanes and the impending IVAN. I don't think the crowds will be so increased you have anything to worry about. In fact it really appears more people rescheduled to later Nov- Dec on the resorts board.

I was there last Thursday and there were no crowds at all. Now, I realize it was between hurricanes, but I still think that overall this time of year is not as crowded as most. Have fun!

We were there after Frances (9/7 - 9/12) and the place was deserted! We arrived at the MK at opening on 9/8 and were able to ride the rides multiple times without getting off! Even late in the day there were no lines. I didn't see lines appear until Saturday afternoon (Splash Mtn had a 10 minute wait by then).

I think people are rescheduling their trips for October and November in hopes of avoiding hurricanes. I think there may be some people there next week who have re-scheduled, but I think the crowds will probably be very reasonable (especially mid-week).

I appreciate the positive outlook. We are still hoping to make it down. We are driving from Maine and it looks like we might be driving into Jeanne. Right now they are predicting Jeanne to make landfall in Northeastern Fl on Tuesday or Wednesday. This is an area that was hit pretty hard by Charley.

Karl looks like he's going north, we can only hope...

I was also there 9/7-9/12 and we literally had no waits at all that week, except on Test Track which had a tech problem for five minutes and then we got on....:) Many are changing their dates till later in the year, afraid as Sept is so hurricane loaded this year so I do not think it will be majorly crowded. Weekends may have a few more folks there, but in general it should be a good time to go..have fun..:sunny:
