How Cool is This? I'm DISing from MK!

Welcome to dinner in Morocco! I'm having lemon chicken, and some very good yellow rice. If you are not an adventurous eater but you want to try Morocco, this is a good mild choice. Baked chicken is pretty much baked chicken everywhere in the world.

The musicians are tuning up and in a minute, you are going to have some real time belly dancing to enjoy. She was out shakin' it with Mo Rockin' a little while ago. It was a battle of the bands of sorts, since Starship was belting out "We Built This City" a few countries away.

I had a lovely afternoon in the Seas. It must be made of lead - no cell reception at all inside. That, or AT&T sucks as much in Florida as they do at home.

It was nice to sit and watch the manatees and dolphins as long as I wanted to, which was about two minutes each. But I could have done It longer if I had wanted to!!

I'm having the Bastilla for dessert - layers of pastry with vanilla ice cream and almonds. I think I remember it has some honey, too. We'll find out in a minute.

It's freezing in here - I wish I had a sweater. Ah, here comes the dancer. Goodness, she has nice posture!!! And she is very limber, too. Many dads are suddenly perking up - too funny!

Dessert is not made with honey, and it's vanilla cream, not vanilla ice cream. Still, it's very good!!

A little girl in full BBB regalia is dancing with the belly dancer. Her mom just yelled, "Get the camera!" to her husband. I hope they got the shot.

It's very "Casablancaish" inside Marrakesh. It's a fun experience.

I've tried to edit that post three times and I STILL can't fix all the mistakes. Oh well, you know what I'm trying to say!

DDE savings tonight was 6.28. When I get home I'm going to add them up and see if I've broken even.

OK, outside to warm up and see Illuminations!

Thanks - I'm having fun, too. Illuminations was great. I stood at the rail to the left of the Friendship dock nearest to Canada. This is a great unobstructed view, but I had to stake it out for a full hour. Do you know how boring that is? It would have been the perfect time to DIS but the battery was low. This thing eats a charge.

I think I'm going to sleep in tomorrow. I don't know what "we'll" do - no real plans until dinner. I still have Tomorrowland and Fantasyland at MK, the Safari and Finding Nemo at Animal Kingdom, and most of World Showcase to see, plus all of MGM. I leave Tuesday afternoon. So "our" vacation has 3 1/2 days left! Hope I can fit everything in without dropping from exhaustion. Hence the sleeping in.

Night night!

HELLO?? popcorn:: Are you still in EPCOT?? How is the F&W crowd?? My DD and I will be in Epcot next Friday for our FIRST F&W Festival!!:dance3: Thanks for the updates!! :thumbsup2 Joan

ohhh, I can't wait until I see where "we'll" be tomorrow :surfweb:
I've been following your post since the beginning. Thank you very much for taking the time out of your vacation to give us all a little smile and sigh.
I have to get up early tomorrow but you sleep in. We have lots of ground to cover tomorrow :lmao: Enjoy your night.
ps, Where are we eating on Saturday?

The F&W crowd was just gearing up as I was leaving. Epcot had EMH hours until midnight, but I had to call it a night after Illuminations.

Tomorrow's dinner will be at the 50s Prime Tme Cafe - hope you like fried chicken!

I loved reading this thread! I'm getting so excited for our trip - less than three weeks now! :cool1:

Have a great time!!!

This is such fun! If I had an iphone I'd do the same thing (on a solo trip) -- it's a cool way to share the fun with friends! I love walking around by myself -- I can zip from attraction to attraction w/out consulting someone else or being inconvenienced by someone else's bladder issues. :rotfl: Can you tell I'm a mom???? LOL

Can't wait to see what we're going to do today! :goodvibes

Or maybe we won't sleep in!

Parents of young children - let's make a rule, shall we? "If you can see someone's hotel room door from where you are, you should use a quiet voice. When you get in your car or on the bus, THEN you can use a loud voice." Is that too much to ask?

Anyway, let's go see who else is awake on the Savannah this morning!

Good Morning Liz, Do you ride EE?? I only rode it once and LOVED it! I am hoping to ride it again next week. I will only have my DD(23) with me,so we will be PARK HOPPING!! Have fun at the AK,hope it is not too hot there?? Joan

I am sooo jealous :goodvibes I hope you have a great time tho ;) I will be there in a couple weeks, so maybe I should hush up LOL

There was a 40 minute wait for the Safari, so I got a FP and now I'm walking the Pangani trail. I'm in front of the lowland gorilla exhibit. There are two gorillas here - the male silverback - magnificent! - and a young female. The meerkats are adorable - one is on sentry duty as the others are foraging. Too bad they are apparently very vicious and will take parts of your finger off. Not a great choice for a pet!

Do people not see wildlife very often? There was a big group around a pond a few steps back - looking at ducks. The day I was previously at AK, there was a small crowd gathered around something on one of the walking paths - it was a squirrel. Hey, people, there are GORILLAS and TIGERS just around the corner!!

No, no EE for me!

These gorillas are amazing animals. If you have a chance, the walking trails are wonderful.

Sigh ... dreamin' of AK. Thanks for sharing your day with us! I LOVE the atmosphere at the AK. It has become one of my faves!! :goodvibes

OK, who's ready for a real time safari? I'm getting on the truck now...

Jambo from the Safari! If I had to choose one attraction in all of WDW as a favorite, I think it would be the Safari. It's just an amazing attraction if you have time to appreciate it. Too often we are racing to get to a ride or show.

Hmm, a little bumpy for typing. Bongos and okapis are out. Hi, greater kudos! And there is a black rhino eating. Many storks are out and about this morning. Hungry, hungry hippos! All in the water today. Careful, Nile crocs ahead! They always look fake to me - but I'm not testing it out.

Now we are onto the Savannah. Ooh, a giraffe! And a Patterson eland hiding. Lots of very cute Tommys are out, some leaping a little.

A few mandrill monkeys are out - scratching themselves. See that elephant? There he is again!

Two baby elephants are wrestling! Just a quick view, but how neat. And a couple more giraffe - one is a baby. Lots of little animals today. No cheetah out, though. A decent view of the female lion, and on the other side white rhinos and zebra. Very cool!

A nice flock of ostrich, and now we are chasing some poachers!!! Oh no - gunfire!!! She is really driving fast!!! Whew, we caught them!!!

Hope you had a good safari. Asanti sana! Kwaheri!

Talk about a LIVE trip report! How much more LIVE could you get! :lmao:

Thanks DVCLiz :thumbsup2

DeVine is out on the path from Africa to Asia. This is one of the things I think Disney does best. It can't be that expensive to have one CM, a pair of stilts, some plastic ivy and grapes, and some face paint, but DeVine is a huge hit and a great surprise.

I missed the 11:30am Nemo show, so I'll have lunch and get in line about 1:00pm for the 1:45pm show.

How pathetic is this? I' m sitting in Restaurantasauras having a cheeseburger and fries - and I chose my table based on where I could plug in my Iphone, so I could recharge while I ate!!! But I want to be able to entertain myself while I have an hour to wait in line for Nemo.

This is a very good hamburger, btw. I wish my local McDonald's used the same quality of meat!!!

This is the best thread ever!! :dance3: Keep up the awesome work...I am so excited for you (and me, in a bit!)
