How come I wasn't impressed with Pirates?

My DH & I saw Pirates at the drive-in. We were stuck way in the back and we got there early ! We could not see some of the darker scenes but the sound was great(the drive-in uses FM radio sound from your car stereo). We both loved the movie ! Johnny Depp was so funny and the fight scenes were awsome !!! We are going to see it again at a regular theatre next weekend.

MomE, you mentioned the sound...and it reminded me that we LOVED the music in the movie.

We're seeing POTC for the second time tomorrow. LOL

Eeeek! I saw it today to make #4 for me! I loved this movie! It had entered my top 10 of all time list!

The references to the ride alone were worth the price of admission!

And even though Johnny Depp was dirty in this movie, I still swooned!!!

We loved it! I read some where that Depp based his
character on Keith Richards who is his good friend. Depp
can sure act! I loved the swashbuckle of the film and the
ride scenes were really cute! DS like the horror parts-I have
to say, they were well done. We'll own the DVD when it comes out. I do like Johnny Depp!

I thought it was good--not great, but I want to see it again. I think I will like it better on the home theater I'm glad that I'm not the only one who struggled a little with the dialogue. I have hearing loss, but usually theaters are no problem for me.
