Mommyto3-my son has alot of the same problems .
Math is his dreaded subject. No matter how well he understands something it just doesn't go down on paper correctly.
The other day both my boys had to write their spelling words 5 times each.Ds7 did his in 20 minutes. It took DS9 2 1\2 hrs.
He skips problems or whole sections on worksheets. We are always telling him to slow down and take his time. This really hurt him last year and his grades dropped. Before that teachers would tell him to go back over his work and fix it.
When he does write his spelling words he copies them wrong yet he makes 100 on the actual test.
His handwriting has not improved since kindergarten.I got two notes today from teachers telling me he needs to work on this. But I have watched him and he is really trying. That is as good as it gets.
I think it is time to talk to the peditrician.
