How busy will it get during cheer comp?

Can you tell me where you saw these dates? All the research I've done shows the Cheer Summit Invitational taking place May 5 to 7.

Where did you see that there will be cheer events between the 7th and the 13th?
The Summit is historically the only Cheer competition at WDW in May.

"IF" there is an event for May7-13,it would be its inaugural event.

I have scoured the internet, and even chatted with a cheer mom on another Disney forum, there is nothing announced or listed beyond the 5th to the 7th Summit event.

With that knowledge, I went ahead and booked the 7th to the 13th at Pop. We arrived on the last day of the event in 2015 and saw a few cheerleaders around the resort on arrival day, but after that they had left. Fingers crossed that's the case again!!

Yes,Mickey Mouse Field at All-Star Sports is THE most popular "practice spot" at WDW.:)

We never experienced anything close to this. I know there are multiple cheer competitions throughout February and March. Maybe the one we were at was a bit on the smaller scale.

That is a picture of Cheerleading and Dance Worlds held late April every year at WDW-it is the largest Cheer/Dance competition in the World.:)

So there are 3 straight weekends of Cheer. First Cheer Worlds is April 28-30, followed by the Summit May 5-7, and then the D2 Summit (1st year at WDW, last time was in Tampa) May 12-14. We went to Summit this last year and I would avoid all of the All Star Resorts as they are the main venues. Some stay at CBR as well as overflow into Pop. Most begin to arrive the Wednesday or Thursday before their competition and usually leave early to mid week following. We are from SoCal so we arrived Thursday and stayed till the following Saturday. Sunday night was a zoo as the competition was over and since this is the National Championships, many gyms dont allow their teams to go to parks until everything is over on Sunday night. They do a party at HS Sunday night which was crazy as was DTD for meals. Monday and Tuesday were decently busy at the parks, but nothing like a 10, maybe a 6-7. By Wednesday it as empty like a 4 or so until weekend crowd came on Friday. For most part if you avoid All Star resorts etc, you won't be impacted at all by the cheerleaders. For the most part all are extremely respectful as they are very disciplined kids, but always have exceptions to the rules. For sure nothing like the Brazilian groups or every Pop Warner football groups either. Hope this helps!!

2017 Cheer Events at Disney World :)

April 26-28 ICU World and Junior World Cheerleading Championships
April 29-May 1 USASF Cheerleading and Dance Worlds
May 5-7 Varsity All Star Summit
May 12-17 Varsity All Star D2 Summit

I had trouble distinguishing between the ICU event and the USASF event but they appear to be separate organizations. Disney announced an expansion earlier this year of its cheer and dance hosting facilities so that may be why there are 4 different events from April-May next year.

Where did you find crowd calendar that far out? Was looking for an April 2017 one but couldn't find on easywdw yet. Thanks!

Undercover Tourist has one and Touring Plans. Touring Plans requires a fee.
It doesn't show specific events on the calendar I don't think but it shows estimated crowd levels based on past years.
