I took dd shopping today for new shoes. We ended up with 2 pair. One was a 6 womens, and one a 6 and 1/2 womens........ :scared1: She isn't exceptionally tall ( about 55 inches now). Hope she grows into those feet. :rotfl2:

My 8 year old is wearing a woman's 5... she's shorter than your DD I think, but I could be wrong... My son is 11 & he's wearing a mens 7 last I checked  He's 59".... Between the two, I'm certain they've outgrown ten pairs of shoes since the school year started....

When my dd was 9 she needed size 7 basketball shoes, but could wear 6 in other shoes. She's almost 12 and wears a 7 or 7 1/2. According to the woman who fits her skates, most girls' feet stop growing when they get their period.

I can't remember when she was nine but....

my DD11 is 5 ft. 5 inches tall & wears a size 8 and a half Reebok sneaker...we just bought her a pair this weekend.

MY 9yo just turned 9 on March 17 wears an 8-81/2 womens size. Gave new meaning to act your age not your shoe size.

Hi! My just-turned-10 DD wears a womens 7 1/2 and she is 57 inches tall. DD, now 12, wears a 10 and she wore an 8 at 9-10 years old. She's 5'5" already now.

So, it varies, doesn't it? I wore an 8 1/2 by age 12 and stayed there until having DD when my shoe size went up to a 9 1/2. :)

my DD will be 9 in september, and she wears a children's size 1 or 1 1/2 shoe, depending on who makes them.

Well, my sister is 13 and her feet are a size 10! She's 5'7" though.

my 9 year old daughter wears a size 6 women's...same as me.

My DD 5 almost six is in a kids size 2 at 48' inches. I think when she is 9 she will be in like 8 or 9 womens. DD 2 is just getting into a size nine in toddler and she is 35' inches.

Don't count on it!!! I wore about a size 5 when I got my period. I wore a size 7 in high school and now wear a size 9. I don't know of anyone who's feet stopped growing in 6, 7, 8th grade (your typical getting your period ages).

When my DD was 9 she was in a size 7 and a bit shorter, OP. She just turned 11 and is about 58" or so and wears an 8 1/2! Most girls these days (well, kids in general) have BIG feet. There are several girls in DS13's class, 8th grade, with size 10-11 shoes. YIKES!

dd7 #1 wears a 2 1/2 or 3, her twin wears a 12 1/2. #1 is 49", 54 lbs, dd#2 is 45" and 43 lbs. Ds12 has always had huge feet, his first pair of infant shoes were a size 3. He's currently in a men's 10 1/2, weighs 108 lbs, and is 61". His father is 6' 3" and only wears a size 10!

I wore a women's size 6 when I was 9 and I was almost 5 feet tall. I thought I was going to be ridiculously tall when I got older. Now I am 20, am 5'3" and wear a size 6.5, so just goes to show you that you never know.

My DD is going to be 8 next month, but I will put in her stats! She is 52 inches, and wears a size 1 shoe.

My 10 y/o son's feet are bigger than my 9.5 womens.... My crocs are a Med, he's a large.... and they just keep growing....

I hope he's not like a puppy. Giant feet = Giant Man!!!

On that note - he was the exact height and weight at birth as Shaquille O'Neil!!! Yikes!
