How are other major DVC rental sites handling This

I have a reservation to Aulani that I was trying to get the DVC Store to see if the owner would move and they have absolutely refused to even ask which I think is ridiculous.

Depends why they are not asking. The broker will know the status of the points as they gather this information before renting them so they may already know if it can't be moved due to the point expiry date.
