Cool story regarding this picture. When the park was first being shown to many environmental leaders, they brought in Jane Goodall (her foundation is routinely aided by the Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund) and together they explored the park as well as around the Tree of Life. Apparently she was quite impressed by the structure but questioned the apparent lack of a chimpanzee. Being somewhat embarrassed, they ended up inviting Ms. Goodall back a little later and escorted her through the queue of ITTBAB where, at the entrance, they had created this tribute of the first chimp Ms Goodall studied - David Graybeard. It apparently nearly moved her to tears. Quite the power things like these can create.
