Ok, guys - question for you and please don't laugh. This pic came from the Beach Club conceirge/club level service. Now, we are not big drinkers but based on this pic how are you supposed to drink these? Mixed with something? Straight for sipping?
I'm hoping you can mix them with something because I don't think I would like them plain - and I'm not a coffee drinker. Any ideas?
All of these are cordials or liquors, and most are made for sipping over ice, if you mix these you need to mix them with something to cut the sugar. These items are very sweet and considered something like a dessert.
Mixing these would require something like Vodka or cream or milk over ice. Kahlua can be used with cocoa, coffee milk or cream, it taste like coffee. Same with the Amarula, from South Africa, the one behind the Kahlua, it is already a creamy drink and is made with fruit. It too can be served just over ice, or with coffee, cocoa, milk or cream.
Grand Marnier is orange flavored liquor, I prefer this mixed with nothing and straight in a glass, room temp, or warmed by the heat of your hands.
Disaronno is amaretto flavored and very sweet; it again can be in coffee, cocoa, or over ice. I again like this one in a glass by itself.
The one in the back with the blue label looks like Courvoisier which is a cognac and should be room temp in glass, heated by your hands.
Again this is all MHO, and everyone is different and there are NO set rules in how you drink. These are all served with the desserts as a night cap and should be enjoyed in a relaxing way. Again all of these but the Cognac are VERY sweet.
Hope this helps.
