How 1 trip turned to 2 and now turning into 3!! Update Pg 40 Days 3, 4 and 5!!

K, so I'm a dork! I read your other thread, you know your PTR, not remembering that you had two threads and asked "where's an update" Sorry.
So, you were in a b*&#^y mood today? That's me every day!:rotfl: I hope you were able to earn some money from your neighborhood sale. My DH stopped at the most pathetic garage sale today and bought some car ramps. Poor lady was sitting outside with a blanket wrapped around her and well, she didn't have a whole lot of stuff for sale. DH said, "well at least she made 10 bucks today" hehe.
I hope you get to spend your birthday waking up at Disney.

I'm definately going to have to hijack your parade pictures for my scrapbook. They are fantastic!!!

:rotfl2: Yeah that's my usual mood as well. We didn't actually sell anything-just took a bunch of stuff to be donated....as I was loading the van up, I remembered everything I'd set aside (jogging stroller that hooks to your bike, double stroller, baby clothes) and got mad at myself for not trying to throw something together-I could have made some decent money. Oh well...at least it's out of my house! Now I'll start another pile. The FD auxiliary has a garage sale in the spring to raise money so I'll start putting stuff aside for that.

Garage sales are different here-more like what your DH found. We're used to like a garage and driveway full of stuff super cheap. There's either not that much stuff or it's way overpriced. :confused3

Thanks for the picture compliment! Glad you like them! :goodvibes

No update?? I just found out my SIL is going Dec 16-21. So jealous! How's your weekend going so far? I didn't sit down at home today until 9 p.m. Left the house at 9:15 this morning. Just running all over the place. I hate days like this.

No Dec update-I see you found the Sept update :goodvibes I'm going to sit down today and start figuring out what the heck we're doing. The amazing people on the restaraunt board helped me to see that the dining plan is the cheaper option for us so we're sticking with that! :thumbsup2 Once I get it figured out, I've got to email AKL IPO to have them schedule my ADRs-thank goodness for our CL this time. I just don't have the time to call and get/change/cancel ADRs this time around.

Yeah for your SIL!! She's coming the day before we leave. Do you know where they're staying yet?

Weekend's really been busy. Dan left at 5:30 this morning to drive to MD with another guy he works with for class for two weeks. It'll be nice to have a break but I'll be ready for him to get home to help with the kids. I can do it, but it's nice to have a little break from them to-no matter how much I love them!! :goodvibes

Sounds like you were super busy today. I'm kind of thinking that's what our day today is going to be like. I want to run over to Target and get a Wii for Christmas...we don't really have the money but they're supposed to be in their ad today and it would be one more thing to cross off the list. Dan's been talking about one and I think it's the one video game that I would like. I ordered the kids a "cheap" version just in case we didn't get a Wii. I guess it's meant to be if there's still one there by the time I get the kids ready to head out and actually get to Target. If not, then it's not meant to be and I'll just have to keep looking.

Have a quieter day today!!!

OT. Good news for me today. My DH is taking my youngest DD to Cedar Point today because she's marching in a parade there. SO, NO madatory football watching today!!! Yeah me :cool1: :cool1:

SIL is staying at ASM. So your DH will be gone a week? Abby, my youngest DD wanted a Wii for Christmas last year, but she didn't get it. She loves playing Wii at her friends house. Your boys will love it. And I mean ALL of your boys.;) Good luck!

DH's gone for TWO weeks! :woohoo: :rolleyes1

I wandered into Target this morning at 10:00 and they still had 2 Wiis and a Wii Fit so I decided it was meant to be. Almost $375 later, we're Wii and Wii Fit owners! Now I've just got to find a place to stash it until Christmas. That'll be something that Santa will be leaving here for the boys to find when we get back from MI. I'll just wrap it befor we leave and stick some presents under the tree once everyone goes out to the van or have someone come over the day we're coming home to put them out. All depends on where we put our tree-don't need someone breaking in to steal presents or anything!

Alright....I've already started cleaning pre-Target. I've got to get the boys down for a nap then it's back to cleaning. I have a ton of luandry to fold and put away. :laundy:

Hope to have more updates soon on the Dec trip...I've got to get it together!

I've also been been reading about free dining in Dec for Disney Visa cardholders....I've got to research that a little bit and see what that's all about....then I have to decide if free dining is a better deal than the general public code.

Congrats to DD! That's cool!

And YAY you!!! With Dan being gone for two weeks, I don't have to watch/listen/hear about it either!!!   :cool1: :cool1: :woohoo: :yay:

Two weeks! Holy crap!!! Good luck being a single mom. When Harvey is gone, I sure do appreciate him more and am glad I'm not doing it alone. Make sure you watch every chic flick ever made and I always make spaghetti without meat while mine is gone. Heaven forbid we eat a meal without some form of meat product!;)

:rotfl2: :lmao: That's too funny!

Wanna know the last movie I watched???? Jersey Girl (you know that movie that the pregnant girls dies while giving birth then the dad yells at the girl about how he ruined his life and he didn't want her) when I was eight months pregnant. Good choice honey! :lmao:

So needless to say, if I can find the time to sit down and watch an entire movie that's not animated, I plan on doing that. popcorn::

Alright, I've got another load of laundry to fold and I have to wake Carter up or he won't sleep tonight! Corbin's been outside playing with the kids on our street so it's been a nice quiet couple of hours to get some stuff done!:laundy:

I'm definately going to have to hijack your parade pictures for my scrapbook. They are fantastic!!!
Hi your like to scrapbook too!:thumbsup2 Must be why newtodis and you and I like to talk I love to scrapbook. I am still working on sept 2006 trip. Daughter #2 wedding anf of course their the Grandson always something cute to scrap about him:lovestruc Hope your having a nice day!

Hi Hope you are having a good day. I just got home from work. I work every Sunday but tomorrow is Grandson day:yay: I watch him on Monday and Tuesday:yay: Thanks for the new update, I will have to go back and check out the parade pictures.
Two weeks with the little ones, enjoy your time because they wiil be grown up before you know it. The time really does go fast, It doesnt seem so long ago that my girls where playing outside with the kids down the street or taking naps, Now we go to dinner at their houses and plan trip WDW with them:banana:

Well got to go eat dinner. Hubby made barbacue ribs while I was at work. Got :lovestruc To love that guy!

Have a nice night!

Alright...finally committed to some ADRs for Dec. Thoughts???? Suggestions???? I know I overbooked with the DDP. Yes, I'm going to be one of *those* people that books something for every day. We may use them, we may not. We may cut down to four on some. As soon as I know, I do plan on cancelling what we won't be able to use. A lot will depend on if our friends come with us. If not, we've got to cut all of our ADRs down to four instead of six. That will free up some space I would think. Then again, what do I know?? :rotfl:

Alright, so here's what I've got right now. Plan still is to leave Friday night after work, stay off property and check in to Disney on Saturday.

I  getting into the park before it opens so I've really tried hard with my ADRs to make them early! :thumbsup2 The boys are up anyways so might as well be doing something instead of waking up people who are trying to sleep back at the hotel right???

12/13 8:10 Tusker House-yup we loved it so much in Sept that we're going again in Dec. It's also super nice to get in before the park opens!
7:00 Sci-Fi Dine In-trying to move this up to about 4:30ish. There's no way my boys will wait until 7:00 to eat and if the park closes at 8, I really don't want to be eating at 7 I don't think.

12/14 8:05 CRT-can't wait to eat in the castle! We're very much looking forward to this!! This is the one meal that we're hoping our friends join us for. If we can't get it for all 6 (we're currently booked for 4), the boys are going to do something else and us girls and the kids will eat here!
4:55 Plaza-gotta eat in the MK for MVMCP. Ok you don't *have* to, but eating at TTS before MNSSHP was pretty relaxing. Going with a different plan this time of seeing more characters and riding the rides I think we'll have a good dinner here.

12/15 8:45 Princess Breakfast at EPCOT-this is one of the "maybes". I don't know how many princesses the boys will be able to take! This one might get the ax.
12:00 GFC-it was the best steak I had last time and I wanted to eat at the GF again to get a cake for Carter's birthday. This one may get the ax though too!

12/16 11:10 1900 PF-Again, don't know how many princesses the boys can handle! If we dump GFC, we'll keep this one. If we keep this, we'll probably dump the EPCOT princess breakfast. I just don't know what the boys will be willing to do...

12/17 8:20 CM-the boys loved this on our first trip and I really wanted to try and eat here again-what a fun way to end our trip at Disney!

My other "options" are CR (loved the atmosphere and the cake!!!!), CP (only for the characters since Carter's been loving Pooh!), Garden Grill (for characters), Cape May (for characters). Pretty much everything else we want to do we're doing this time.

Part of me wants to ease up on the character meals this trip because I know when we go with our friends from MI since their son has never been before, we'll do quite a few of them. They're not sure when they're thinking about going...last time I talked to her, she said "winter" which is a big span in MI! :rotfl:

If we get a good bounceback offer, we may book that too. I know we're going back, just not when so that's making it VERY hard to decide what to do this time. :confused3

Alrighty.....another update below on non-Disney:thumbsup2

I am having the most lazy day of all! My DH took our youngest DD to Cedar Point for the day. She marched in the parade with her cheerleading group. So, I just sat here and read my email and DIS'd ALL day. I love to scrapbook too! My problem is, is that I like to do my vacation albums first and then everything else doesn't get done. I just finished Mexico 2006. I have Hawaii 2007 w/shark bite info. My DH was bitten by a shark while we were on vacation in Hawaii, so I have an entire folder of articles and bills along with all the regular vacation pictures. Most of them are of nature since he wasn't with me for most of the trip. Then I have Disney Oct 2007 and Mexico 2008. What to do?? Where do you live in OH? The last scrapbook store in our area is closing at the end of this month. I don't know about you, but I do not care for most of the stuff at Hobby Lobby and Michaels. I love Basic Grey paper and products. Sorry to ramble.

Hey all....here are a few "non-Disney" updates for those interested!

I'm well underway with my Christmas shopping. With the purchase of the Wii this morning, the "family" gifts are done! I just have to do stockings for the boys-all three-and that should be it for our family.

I've still got to finish up extended family too but many are getting photo books or gift cards. I'm not going all out this year. We're driving (unless I get a great deal on plane tickets!) to MI which should be a gift in itself! Everyone's short on cash these days so gift cards will be the best for sure!

I need to get a list to family of ideas for us-this is always the hardest part for me. I don't like asking for things but also hate to see the boys getting things that I know they won't use and we wind up returning or regifting. Sometimes they listen to my suggestions and sometimes not so much but I feel better for at least giving them ideas I guess.

I think Dan and I will agree that our "gift" to each other will be the Disney trip so I won't have to worry about. I'll just have to spend the time from when we get back from Disney to until we leave for MI making books on Shutterfly and having them shipped to DMIL's house so they'll be there in time.

I also want to use pictures from Disney as our Christmas cards. I'm thinking this year we're going to send "happy new year" cards or something like that once we get back to SC and have a few minutes to breathe.

I'm starting to stress over our Dec travels. We're in Disney 12/13-17 and plan on leaving for MI the night of the 23 and be back on 12/26. We're only going to be home for a few days between trips. I was thinking today that if we're going to drive, it might be best for us to take the extra two days off and leave for MI on Friday night instead of Tuesday night and stay until Friday (12/26) just to have more time for visiting and such. (I want to shop!) :rotfl:

I also want to try and look for some cheap plane tickets. There are three airports within about four hours so I'm hoping to find a good deal from one of them. I'd rather drive 8 hours round trip instead of 30! I think the boys would agree with me! Just watching for a deal right now...

Other than that, not too much! I managed to get about $130 free jewelry from my party last week so I finished all that up today. It should be here soon. Three girls booked parties from mine so I've got three other parties to sit through and order from. All part of getting hooked into this party business:rolleyes1

I really should be writing out thank yous from our MI trip (yeah I still haven't done that yet!) and the pictures from our MI visit. I'm going to Walmart or Target on my lunch tomorrow to print some Disney pictures to include too if I get it together.

Alrighty...it's almost bed time and these boys are looking tired tonight (thank goodness!!). I'm going to get them off to bed then probably crash myself!

Have a great Monday everyone!

There's always something to scrap!! I'm so far behind right now...I think I have two years of vacations to Charleston to do (before we moved here), our last two Disney trips from this year, I think the last two Christmases, I'm terrible! I just need to make the time to sit down and do it!

I would love the grandmas to be able to help watching the boys. That would be so nice for both of them! Maybe they'll move closer! :thumbsup2

They're already growing up too fast! I've been trying to make deals with Corbin to quit growing but he just won't!:goodvibes

Sounds like a yummy dinner! Enjoy!

YAY for a lazy day! I cannot wait for one of those! :cool1:

Goodness...bit by a shark??? What happened if you don't mind me asking? Is he ok? I guess he has to be if he took your DD to CP today....duh! I think you need to quit taking vacations until you're caught up! :rotfl:

I'm not a big fan of Michaels and they don't have Hobby Lobby here. Scrapping doesn't seem to be as popular here-there's not nearly the selection as when I go to MI. There's a $1 store in MI that Dan's mom told me about and I checked out last time we were there-there was SO much stuff there for $1!! I could have spent so much in there! It's on my list to go to when we get back there in Dec! I'm a former creative memories consultant so I've got lots of that stuff to use up. They've got some cute new Disney stuff that I like and used in my scrapbook for DMIL and the Big Give scrapbook I made. I also bought a bunch of Jolee's stuff from Ebay at a decent price so I've got all kinds of stuff to use. I also picked up a couple of things from World of Disney in DTD when we were there and ordered a couple of things from LTD. Target also has cute Disney albums and packets of stuff.

Alright....now that I've given you a rundown of boring scrapbooking stuff, I think I need to call it a night! I've got two boys to get to bed.

You to Lynn! Congrats on your dining ressies. We don't do the dining plan so I can't offer much help on the restaurants, simply because we pay out of pocket for all our meals. We only eat out once a day and you know I'm cheap, so we've only eaten at Akershus, CRT, and CP. (character meals) The other meals have have been table service.
It looks like you have it all under contol.
I can't believe that you're going to drive all the way to MI and only stay 3 days. Crazy girl! And I can't believe that you're almost done Christmas shopping. I haven't even started!!!

o.k. get those boys to bed and you can read this in the morning. Just google Harvey Miller shark and you will find articles about what happened. It's easier than me tell you about it. Not that it upsets me, just a lot of writing. He is o.k. now. He still has a lot of pain and swelling in his knee, it'll just be that way from now on, and he has some paralysis from the foot drop and bite area itself. He had a tendon transfer to correct the foot drop. (he couldn't pick his left foot up, just hung there.) So now he can pick up his foot, but can't move it side to side. We are just grateful that he is alive and can walk. The shark bit less than an inch of his femoral artery.
I'll talk to you tomorrow. Go get the boys to bed and enjoy some peace and quiet.
