How 1 trip turned to 2 and now turning into 3!! Update Pg 40 Days 3, 4 and 5!!

Good Dec News!!!

I got an email from our friends (while actually the wife, the husband's in MD with Dan-poor guy being stuck with my DH!) and they're thinking about staying 12/14-16 at Disney!!! So now we're back on for Dec with them if we can find something cheap! (she's the one that we had the surprise party for and are going to dinner on Friday for her birthday-again!).

Now I really have to get my act together and get plans in place if other people are going to meet us there!


Also, on a side note, today is my mom's birthday. The boys sent her an edible arrangement today since we're so far away. I'll probably have them make her a birthday card tonight and get that out in the mail since I'm such a slacker! I'm not close to my family at al so this is rare for me to go to all this fuss for any of them. Maybe some day I'll share the entire story with y'all, but for now I'll leave it at involving a nasty divorce, foster care, being evicted from our house, being raped as a teenager and having the most wicked of step mothers. Other than that, totally normal life!

I'm actually a much better person for everything that's happened in my life. Yeah I'm a bit screwed up but isn't everyone these days?? I think I've done pretty well for myself and I was the bigger person to send her something for her birthday! So there!

Alright...I've got flight prices to look up, Disney plans to make and work to do....let's see....what to do first?

OH! If you have a Cookies by Design by you (they've got a website if you don't! cookiesbydesign dot com) they just started doing Disney cookie bouquets!!! They are so darn cute and there are two locations in Orlando so it could be a fun addition to your trip!

No update tonight unfortunetly! I spent some time over on the Creative DISigns board. I've started a thread asking the AMAZING DISigners over there to see if I can get any DISigns done for Jill in case they cannot fix her computer. Hopefully that will perk her up a little bit when she checks back in with us. (Personally, can't wait until my computer's fixed so I can DISign again!!! After making our shirts and getting so many compliments I cannot wait to share that feeling with other people! )

So, this was going to come later too....THANK YOU DISIGNERS!!!

You helped to make our trip even more magical and wonderful than it already was! I cannot wait to make our shirts/room decorations for December!!!

The articles about her husband are amazing! It's a miracle that he's alive. And we're lucky to have her here with us!

No I haven't told y'all what happened just yet....sorry! It didn't happen until the end of the trip. I guess at this point you can tell it wasn't a good ending if Disney's paying us to come back huh?? I'll get there soon I promise. I was telling a friend about it tonight and started fuming again. I need to get it together before I call that guy back tomorrow.


ETA: Sorry I forgot to answer your shirt question. Yes the DISign on the front was in one of the DISigners photobucket accounts (I think rumblytumbly) and the personalized DISign on the back was may especially for Corbin He's a bit spoiled! (Dan had one on his shirt too!!!)

No they do not have children. They're actually offering to possibly adopt my friend's baby since they cannot have kids. It would be so wonderful for them. They love my kids so much so I know they would be wonderful parents!

We're still staying at AKL but I'm not sure where friends are going to stay...they've never stayed on property before so I'm hoping for a good deal for them to stay on property for the first time ever!!

No I'm not close to my family but thank you for all of the kind words. That's very sweet!

Yes I do have lots of plans to work on! I've got a busy few days trying to get all of it together! I'm even trying to do the impossible and swtich our CRT breakfast to a day she'll be there as she *really* wants to eat in the castle! The CL staff said usually two weeks out you can make some changes but I don't know...if it can't be switched then it can't be but we're going to try!

Yes still having computer problems.... Thankfully the laptop and my office computer work just fine (most of the time!)

I don't deserve any cheers...just want to help her get back what she lost that's all. I hope you can find some flights! I found cheap airfare for our Mexico trip, this past July, on a Sunday morning. It was just so random! Keep looking. What airport are you flying out of maybe I can help look since I have more time? (you are working, I am not)

Your life sounds totally normal It's the way you handle the rest of your like that matters. Dr Laura has a book out, can't remember the exact title, but the gist of the book is "so, you've had a crappy childhood, deal with it and get on with your life and make it better. Doesn't mean you have to have a crappy adulthood." Something like that. You're doing great!
So happy to hear your friends are going. I would put them up at a Value resort and call it done. They're only going to be there 2 nights.

Haven't heard from her but sent her an email this morning so hoping to hear from her soon. I have her number but really not too sure about calling her. I asked Mickey to send her a package so hopefully when she gets that she'll stop back in for a visit

Yeah Friday should be fun. It's been awhile since I've been out without my kids! They're hanging out on Saturday too but with Dan being gone and can't committ to all of that.

Another fit this morning....Corbin didn't want me to leave. Tomorrow I'm going to make them pancakes or something for breakfast and just happen to have it when the nanny gets there so they'll be busy eating and not worrying about what I'm doing and leaving and such. Hoepfully that works-and thankfully they're VERY flexable here and don't freak out when I'm a couple of minutes late.

Flights....I hope we can find a cheap one too...I spent about an hour yesterday searching all over the place. So far the cheapest is Airtrain Atlanta GA to Flint MI ($154 each way). We're willing to fly out of Atlanta (worried about here because of bad weather but shouldn't be too bad), Jacksonville, FL, Savannah, GA, Charleston, SC. Flying in, we can fly in to Flint or MBS (Midland/Bay City/Saginaw), MI. Detroit's an option too but it would be driving in more bad weather....I guess an hour of driving in snow to save some money isn't so bad.

If we fly we need to rent a car as well but that shouldn't be too bad.

We were previously planning on leaving 12/23 and coming back 12/27. The going to date is a bit flexable-we could leave anywhere from 12/19-23. Coming back needs to be the 26th or 27th really so we have a day to unpack and get things together.

Alright I've got a couple of minutes so I'm going to just do a weekend update. This weekend I'm going to set aside some serious time to DIS and finish this TR.

We started our morning off by seeing turkeys outside-a total flashback to MI!

Saturday I cleaned to take stuff to the thrift store. When I clean, I turn on my downloaded music and listen to that on the computer. I listen to a little bit of everything from classic (think waiting room music) to rap (think Kid Rock/Eminem). The boys most favorite song is referred to as the "Cars song" (Life is a Highway by Rascal Flatts). Carter heard this song and started screaming "CARS!" and "DANCE!". With that, the booty shaking began!

I was FREEZING most of Saturday and was in sweatpants, my favorite old navy shirt and wrapped in a blanket. Carter decided he needed to be wrapped up too!

Our landlady went a little crazy planting stuff in the yard when she lived here and we have a couple of "butterfly" bushes in our yard. Saturday we saw a TON of butterflies in the one with red "flowers".

I like the pictures, That's a large group of turkey!! Do you see them often? I never have seen turkey out in a neighborhood like that.
That a cute picture of Corbin reading to Carter, my grandson has curly hair too!
The butterflyl pictures are amazing, again that camera takes nice pictures.
