House of Blues deal

Is anyone going to order who wouldn't mind doing me a favor?

We can't order (in Canada). If you're ordering and have Paypal, and would be willing to send me them...would I be able to send you the amount for the certificates (2 x $3) plus another $1.00 for a stamp?

i just ordered mine. and i am in canada. use the hotel address you are staying at. pay with paypal. works like a charm!

We are going on Wednesday ... can't wait! I understand the burgers are about $10, but entrees are $20-$30 each. Will post again after we go! LOVE saving money at DL! BTW, there are some great Mexican food restaurants within a very short driving distance of DL that are also on Restaurant.com , along with restaurants inside of a couple hotels (Sheraton and I think the Desert Park Inn).

Ooh, can you name a few from restaurant.com? We have a car and are willing to drive. Dh is always looking for good mexican resturants.

Try Azteca's Mexican Restaurant in Garden Grove, I have heard good things about them. We will be going there this week and can let you know how it was. Never heard of an Elvis themed mexican restaurant before, LOL! :rotfl::rotfl:

Best bet is to just go to restaurant.com and have it sort any available restaurants within a 5 mile radius of Anaheim. You will have some excellent choices in the Huntington Beach area as well.

happy eating!

anyone been to the restaurants inside the sheraton and desert park inn, i also have restaurant.com vouchers for those.

This code is now good through 3/31/10.

Just a note - I emailed restaurant.com directly and asked them how I could get the deal if I lived in Canada. They instructed me to simply use their corporate address. The House of Blues deal is now $2 for $25 off your bill of $35 + 18% tip. Use code "Cook." You print the coupon directly after paying - my initial concern, which now seems absurd, was that I needed a US address for them to send it to me by snail mail.

Hello. Great deal. Thanks for posting. Can you please explain what to do once you purchase this from them? Is there a printout you print to give to the restaurant? Or an email? A voucher? Or do they actually mail something to your home for you to take with you to the restaurant? We are leaving in a couple of days and if they mail something to us, then I don't think I'd get it in time. Thank you.

As far as I can tell you just need present the voucher that you were directed to print when you pay for it on the restaurant.com website. Nothing is mailed to you as far as I know.

They send you an email with your gift certificates included within a few minutes of purchasing them. You just print them and bring it with you to the restaraunt. They never mail you anything to your home address.

And thanks for posting this OP! I picked up 4 house of blues coupons in anaheim and some for restaraunts around my house!!!

I got one for HOB and one for the new Sheraton in GG. I've been wanting to stay there because it is brand new. We use points and stay for free. I looked at the menu, it's very nice. If anyone eats there, please post back on the experience. And since they don't expire, there's no stress to use them by a certain date.

Thanks for the tip, I appreciate it.:thumbsup2

We ate (this past Tuesday evening) at the Sheraton in Garden Grove using the Restaurant.com gift certificate. It was one of our kids' two favorite restaurants while we were there ... certainly an unexpected surprise. The food was very good, the staff was extremely attentive, the atmosphere was really relaxing and modern ... we thoroughly enjoyed it! The kid's menu had choices everyone liked, and I had coconut shrimp and a caesar salad. Hubby had a burger. YUM! We will definitely do it again.

Also, we tried Fire and Ice Grill in Gardenwalk. Again ... very cool concept! Kind of like a Mongolian Grill, but with a different feel to it. Lunch was 9.95 adults/6.95 kids for all you can "grill". Kids were fascinated, and everything we created was delicious! Dd's favorite was swordfish grilled with a butter lemon garlic sauce , broccoli and rice. I made fajitas, we also made a small portion of chicken fettucini alfredo, and hamburgers. Tasty.

Did not get to try the Mexican food there! We did drive to the Waterfront Cafe in Garden Grove (again, a restaurant.com thing). The gift certificate was only applicable towards dinners, not lunch or breakfast. We went there for breakfast and ate anyway. The scrambled eggs were a little bit not so good, but everything else was pretty good (and cheap! 3.50 kids / 4.99 adults) so we would probably try it again but only if we became tired of Coco's for breakfast.

House of Blues was delicious. Overpriced, but delicious! What got me was that it was 11.99 for three teeny TINY sliders on the appetizer menu, or 11.99 for a huge burger with fries. Hmmmm. let me think, which one to choose? :rotfl:

Wanted to try Victory Bakery but the phone number on my restaurant.com gift cert never actually got through to anything/anyone that sounded like a restaurant. Wanted to verify their hours before driving there. Next time!

Was surprised by how much we could make Disney food "stretch" while we were there. Two clam chowder breadbowls, and some fruit (that we packed) seemed to fill up our family of four for $20. La Brea Bakery had a decent breakfast for 8.99 that my two kids and I split one morning (with an additional side of bacon). The Bengal BBQ skewers in Adventureland are always a good protein infusion for 3.99!

happy dining
