Hotel near Hershey...

I'm looking for an inexpensive, not cheap, hotel for 2 nights near Hershey. What would you recommend?

The Hilton Garden Inn Hershey. It is a fantastic hotel, not too expensive, really clean and nice and it was recently renovated. All rooms have frisbee and microwaves and coffee pots too. We have stayed there many times and have always had a great stay. We love the Hershey Lodge too but when it is booked we stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, it's always cheaper than the lodge. Also the Hilton is a very short drive to the parklike 10 mins. There is also a bunch of chain restaurants tight next to it.

If you need less expensive, try Harrisburg. It's about a half hour from Hershey, but hotels are much less expensive there.

How many are staying? I was able to get the Best Western at the Harrisburg Airport for $49/night via name your own price on priceline last month, but the room is only guaranteed for two people and while clean and neat it was smaller with two doubles.

Wyndham garden inn it is in grantvile. 10 minute drive to park. Stayed there last June and going back for 2 nights June 12th. Clean, close to park, and inexpensive. It was $99/ night I believe.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express last year. It was nice - clean, nice breakfast, friendly staff. You can't beat the location - it is just down the street from the main entrance - next to the Hershey Park campground.
I love Hershey's policy of allowing you entrance after 5 and the next day on one ticket. We really got a lot accomplished on our evening preview.
