We are thinking of staying at the new Hotel Indigo using rewards points for an entire week. Has anyone stayed at this hotel? Any advice of using the ART to get to the park? Would anyone reccomend this hotel?

::yes:: Yes but only stayed 1 night ( also reward points ) so far! ;)
Love the refurbished rooms & service was excellent! Check them out on Tripadvisor.com !!! :surfweb: Lots of GOOD reviews!!! We drove so can't answer about ART but was not that far!! Definitely recommend The Indigo and will be staying there this fall!! :thumbsup2

This is a recently remodeled hotel - I have not stayed there but I actually think you could walk from it. And if you want to use ART, there are stops in front of each of the hotels on either side of this one. :)

We are staying here next month. It was my understanding that you can walk from this hotel (10-15 minutes). This is what we are planning on doing.

No comment on the hotel itself, but I've stayed next door, and, I've gotta say, it's a heck of a walk at the end of a long day. Not undoable, but when I've done it in the past, I've been staring longingly at each hotel I pass ;) The good points are that you pass 7-11 on the walk, so you can get your water/soda before going into the parks each morning. However, if you're able to get a great deal using your reward points, I'd be willing to make that walk!

I haven't used ART before, because I'm cheap.

Oh bummer. I was really hoping that the walk wouldn't be that bad. I have a thing about motels and the Hotel Indigo fit in my price range and gets good reviews. At one point, I found a good rate for the Fairfield but then read more than one report about bed bugs and just couldn't do it.

I also have a ressie at Ayres at a good rate that I just haven't cancelled yet because I keep wondering if we should just stay there and deal with the parking. But, everyone keep saying you have to stay within walking distance!

What to do, what to do....

We had a king suite there last month and it was very nice. The walk for us was a 10 minute stroll. Very modern hotel with FREE parking and no other gotcha fees. We plan on going back. If you stay there you might try to get a room on the top floor. Some people complain about the noise on the lower floors but our suite was on the 2nd floor facing the street and we slept like babies every night without any issues. Very nice bed!!

We got a killer rate last year here right after the remodel so it was a hidden secret as it were for the time. We had a top floor room and actually could see the fireworks from our room perfectly. They don't advertise this as a room type but there are some rooms that face it , so you could ask.

Loved our stay there and wish we could get another super low rate again..lol.
The walk isn't bad at all - about 10 minutes we just prefer to drive as we already have free parking with our passes.

This was my trip advisor review - Our room was 430.
