I agree-I definitely think something for Guests is being readied.I have missed the shop they used to have in there. It would be nice to have something go into that space. I feel like it is too small for any type of restaurant or snack bar, unless they plan to utilize the kitchen at Le Cellier, although perhaps a plain bar serving alcohol might fit since they could use standing tables for that. I would welcome another retail location, as the one on the lower level is small and cramped at the best of times. I can’t imagine they would do construction on the building just to provide additional storage or other behind the scenes space.
My guess is it is definitely going to be a Lounge/Bar-Disney seems to be on a Lounge "kick" lately with the Pirates of the Caribbean and Spaceship Earth Lounges already in the pipeline. The size should be able to support a bar - it's about 20 feet deep by 42 feet long in the main section, plus an additional 20-24 feet after the 'bend' which could be a back-of-house area, and if they extended some kind of outdoor seating, capacity could be pretty good. It was always one of my absolute favorite pavilions as a kid, theme wise, and has been such a disappointment to be so underutilized once the shop closed. A bar serving Canadian beers and whiskey drinks would raise that pavilion's popularity level way up!
Cool.Exciting! My niece starts working at the Canada pavilion in Aug. Looking forward to seeing where she is and visiting her too!
What a great example of Disney's use of forced perspective. Notice the windows and "bricks" get smaller as you look up.Here is a recent picture.
Definitely appears to be some sort of a "Bar" or a pick-up window.
If this project is indeed a Bar/Lounge being put in the Hotel,it will kick the vibe/popularity of the Canada Pavilion up immensely!
So exciting-Canada has needed this badly ever since the Shop closed in the Hotel!

Interesting. I've done some tipsy shopping in EPCOT, but this would be on another level!I wouldn't get too excited...This is from someone on Wdw Magic. I would love a baseline type of place though.
"DVC in-park sales center where contracts can be signed, “first of its kind.”
Not certain it’ll include a lounge. More of like Saratoga Springs DVC center. Complimentary snacks included, I’m told."

They have so many DVC kiosks that I would be surprised to see them use that large of a space for what they already have. Doesn't mean it won't happen, but I would be disappointed in them going with that option.I wouldn't get too excited...This is from someone on Wdw Magic. I would love a baseline type of place though.

I think the difference is that all the kiosks do is chat up folks to get them to talk to an actual DVC guide in hopes of getting them to buy. The center would be where they get down to the serious business. They have so many DVC kiosks that I would be surprised to see them use that large of a space for what they already have.
