Host Phinny's Pass the Word...

Arrrghh, it really is getting worse. In the one instance of the Jack Sparrow room just now there were at least 6 people off the ride, dancing and doing magic.

They could care less if they're making it harder on everyone else. Center of the universe idgits.

Gosh, this is a time when I had special boot magic. How nice would that be? To have the power to boot. :thumbsup2

I just posted my pic of how I was off the ride completely by accident :confused3 but I got out fast, lol. I have seen too many ppl in the rooms dancing around and saying they were going to stay though. I know many of them are jumping off on purpose. And to all those who are dropping the Mickey gifts in there :sad2:

Yes I did the same thing, I got out fast as well. But I did see some people trying to be staff and standing there for hours on end.

I am amazed at the lack of common sense when there is a ride-a-thon. What are these people who get off rides thinking when they stand there dancing and acting like staff. I even saw a Diser off in the waterfall room and they did shark magic as I passed through-like the lag is not bad enough but to do magic in the ride rooms-come on people a little respect for your fellow players. Get on, ride, get prize and ride again. I wonder how many 100's of help call the poor staff are getting because people get booted to the door and can not figure out how to get back on... oh and quit leaving the presents. I think everyone that leaves a present should get a 2 hour ban after all staff can read who left them...

I reported a ride start room last night that had a Mickey gift blocking the left side ride entrance area. People were able to walk around it, but it was making it difficult to do so. I realized something about the gifts. You won't know who left them.

Here's the deal. Let's say you gave me a gift in December. I could easily drop your gift into the room, and anyone reading the message would think you dropped the gift. But it's the recipient of your gift (me) who actually dropped it. And what about blank message gifts? I can't see how they know who dropped the gift.

And I did think there's one thing that could have made the ride a thon better:

Automatic start pieces at the room ride entrances.

Ride a thons that had those ran more quickly. It's been pretty difficult to reach the queue starts in this ride a thon, but they are aesthetically pleasing.

My favorite "idgit" as Llama called them, is the kid that is standing in the entry room "helping" by telling people to enjoy the ride, get on the ride, etc.... He of course is not holding up the lines at all, he's the solution to the problem by standing in the room creating more traffic.

- sigh -

Yep, I saw the same thing. As cool as that first room is, it is holding things up. If people just kept moving there are places to click that get you up to the ride piece fairly quickly, but of course, those standing there hanging around on purpose are just holding things up by being in the way, and making hard to walk over to the ride start. Not to mention making the queue longer.

Yes, I have tested this and tron (the room all of these rooms start in) is one of the rooms you can put a start piece right on a exit tile. Why not do this VMK?

Yes, it is unfortunate with the "idgit" situation. But you have to understand they see that happen during the week in staff games, where people are doing the same. So this they feel is their opportunity to shine. This is one reason why in a staff game or a ride a thon we should all move along. :thumbsup2

Ink reported a kid in a start room that was telling people to move along and his signature said "I work for VMK " sigh....

Also a blank message gift does say at the top who the gift was originally from. Never thought about your point Briar I guess we don't know who really dropped them. Very aggravating!

Here are some examples of how bad it is getting today:

I agree Bug. I saw a boy in one of the rooms actually saying, "VMK Staff welcomes you to the ride a thon."
I wanted to say, "Enjoy your ban for impersonating staff and being disruptive for jumping off the ride!"

the players are way more disrespectful today than yesterday i noticed. I bet over night they read all the fan sites on how to jump track and so forth @_@

oh well i am still managing to get it done at least. and I havent reported so many in a long time :rotfl:

I realize they are busy and can't respond as soon as the a present is dropped in a room, but are staff removing these presents because I keep seeing them everytime I go through.

On another note is this the beginning of the end of the gift giving present? One bad egg ruins it for everyone.

EDIT: The last ride I went through was clear of all presents and Idgits

You go Phinny. We glove your booting power.

I had to call her in twice today bc ppl were blocking the ride entrance on purpose. We would kindly ask them to move and they would say things like, "make me" and "whatever." So I said I would make them and called a host in. She gave them all the boot. GO PHINNY!!!

I really don't think so. That item's way too cool, and probably involved a fair amount of time and effort to make it happen. If anything, the developers might put together an option for staff to disallow present-dropping in their rooms. There are a lot of them in the game, anyway, so short of deleting every one of them, just not selling them anymore isn't going to solve the problem for a while.
