Horizons by Marriot

We have booked a week to add on to WDW @ Horizons by Marriot. Has anyone ever stayed there? We loved Cypress Harbor (Marriot) our last two visits and wondered if it's comparable.

Here's the photo page for Marriott's Horizons at Orlando Resort. Perhaps that will give you a feel for the place. I've read some great reviews... very popular with families who have young children (under age 10).

I haven't personally stayed at either this resort or M. Cypress Harbour. To compare (based on their websites and reviews I've read), Horizons:

--- does not have the double jacuzzi in the unit
--- offers similar activities & food options, some different but both have plenty
--- has a small waterslide at the pirate ship feature pool
--- is a smaller resort, so far (adding more sections)

It looks great and sounds like lots of people enjoy it enough to return. Have fun!!!

We were just there for 11 nights at Easter. The pool area is wonderful!!!!!!!! We had a total of six kids (my 5 and my daughters friend), ranging in age, almost 1, 4, 9, 13, 16,16. The pool is zero depth entry, so I was able to let my baby sit and splash, which was nice. The pirate ship is huge, with slides and water cannons. There are also other sprinkler type things arond the ship. There is a seperate small kiddie pool (we never used it though). Two hot tub pools. They have a poolside bar that serves drinks, light meals, sandwiches, burgers etc... There is an activity room with assorted video games, an air hockey table, and the days posted activities. There is a small gym, clean and decent equipment. They have a water playground that is a lot of fun. It has all kinds of sprinkler stuff, two towers that have big buckets on top that fill up and then dump out and get everyone who doesn't get out of the way drenched. It is a large area with lots of room for kids to run. The area is fenced in, as are the pools.
Honestly, we loved the place!!!!!!!!!! My kids ask everyday if we can go back ( they said they don't care if we go to the theme parks!).

In July we'll be staying at Cypress Harbour for a week then a week at Horizons. We checked out Horizons last year while we were staying at Cypress Harbour. It looks fantastic!! We can't wait !!!

We've stayed at Cypress Harbor 2X and really enjoyed it. My kids love the HUGE tubs and the pool.
