Say I buy a 10 day hopper that expires but then decide on my trip not to use all days can I then add the non expiration??? HELP

Yes. You'll be charged the difference in price between the original ticket and its non-expiring option, regardless of how many days are left on the pass.

so say there are four days left - ill still have to pay for 10 days non expiration or just for the four?? sorry im just confused

You pay for the 10 days. In other words, if you are going to get the expiry option no matter way, there is no advantage to adding it on later. (I'm sure you could imagine that if there ways people would abuse that loophole grieviously.)
