hoop dee doo or spirit of aloha

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue... assuming you are not one of those folks who takes themselves too seriously to have a good time. If you are willing to embrace the corniness I think HDDR may well become a staple of Disney trips for years to come! I hope to do it every year until I die! LOL Not to mention that the ribs are excellent, and bottomless beer!

I haven't been to either but the Dis unplugged Podcast did a review on the Hoop Dee Doo on last weeks show 2/4/09 and actually interviewed two of the actors. You should really give this a listen to, I think it will help you make up your mind.:)

The show can be found at http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-podcast/# :thumbsup2

I can't really say. I'm doing Hoop Dee Doo for the first time in a few days. However, I've seen Aloha take a little more flack than it deserves. The first half of it is, well, not funny and not very entertaining. However, the second half of it was pretty darn good. They just need someone to give their "book" a polish.

Having been to both, I'd go with HDD. We enjoyed the show and the food more there.

Hoop T Doo, Yes its corny and silly, which is better than boring and stuffy. The food is good, and when everyone else is cracking up at "the groaners" you'll laugh to and you will enjoy the program

Does the Hoop De Doo, do anything special for Christmas or is it a regular show and food?

Let's all sing it together, "Hoop De Doo, Hoop De Doo............" Love the show, food and adult beverages

HDDR is a must-do for us on every trip.:thumbsup2 We all love the silly humor and the food.

We have been to both and deffinately agree that HHDR is the winner!! Both are good, but we love HDDR and it is a must do every trip!

Hoop De do Revue!
We went with my husband, DD4 and 17 year old niece. I was not sure if they would like it or not, I thought either the 4 year or 17 year old would like it and to my surprise they BOTH loved it (my husband did too)! Both girls talked about it for days and the four year old kept pretending she was in the show...I have never been to the Aloha dinner but friends that have and none of them said they would go back...
Hope this helps. :flower3:

We were there on Dec 14th/08 . The place was decorated nicely and if I rememberthey sang "there is no place like home for the holidays" but that was about it.
