What's the best thing to use to make a guest sign in book...

Having a small 60th birthday surprise party for my stepfather, would like each of his guests to write something to him, well wishes, etc.

Anything you can offer .. thanks!!!

For my mom's 50th, I had evryone write on a flat notecard. Then I took envelopes and used binder rings to put them together with a front and back cover. Each person's note went into it's own envelope. I think that I put the guests names on their envelope. The covers were themed to the party. If you go that route, don't forget to cut the cards to be short enough to accommodate the holes that will be punched.

... was thinking of using some card stock and making it.

I tried to google search it, but nothing wonderful.

Just thought someone would have some ideas here :)

I made one for a funeral at our church. I used chipboard covered fcardstock for the front cover and printed on cardstock the pages for the inside. I used a ring binding on it and aeded some gold ribbon to match the vellum on the cover.

That sounds like a very lovely present!

How about buying an already bound scrapbook (maybe a 7x7 size) at a craft store and a stack of card stock in various colors? Cut the card stock paper to note size, and give a piece to each guest. (are you mailing invites? you could send them the notepaper ahead of time). Make sure you have extra pieces of paper for people who either make a mistake or forget....

Then, all you have to do is glue down the notes on the pages. If you were really ambitious, you might try & get a photo of him with that person & attach that too. You could probably make/design & print a title page.
