Homeless Dis'ers set sail *sound* on some posts

Okay, Ed, I'm trying to figure it out too, other than the obvious. If it's anything else, then I'm just missing it.

I'm ready for dinner and excited about our Ghost Tour. I've really always wanted to do one (especially in either New Orleans or Gettysburg). Has anyone really done one? I think it's so cool!

Castlegazer, I may try your instructions, but once I start getting to things like pop-up, properties, IRL - I start glazing over. But I will give it a try!

good morning dis'ers welcome to Miami this will be our final stop until we pull into Port Canavral Please turn down the sound and why are all these beads in my bed??

A spectrum of dazzle and activity, Miami is a place where the jazzy colors of luxurious living meld with the cool pastels of one of Florida's original vacation hot spots. With its auspicious beginnings as a small tourist town at the turn of the century, Miami boomed in the 1920s and has grown and added to its diversity ever since. With its own "Little Broadway" in the 1920s, Miami was a center for the Art Deco movement in the '30s and '40s, thrived as a military base in World War II, and has since grown to be both a Latin American center and a sleek metropolitan community.

There are hundreds of ways to spend your time in this bustling urban metropolis. Each area has its own distinct flavor and style. Miami Beach is where people bronze themselves on miles of sun-bleached sands by day and partake in the legendary club scene by night. If you are inclined to sightsee, South Beach's Art Deco District contains over 800 buildings in this distinct architectural style, and Ocean Drive is known for its bustling activity and sidewalk cafés.

I will be hanging out in SoBeach today. Very cool area. Just people watching. Well, and a drink in hand. What's for dinner?

My good friend owns this hotel in South Beach - it is the Hotel Nash across from the Versace Mansion. He has graciously offered to hosts us in his world reknowned restaurant for lunch in Marks So. Beach in the hotel. (and this is IRL- he really is my good friend). I have never had the opportunity to stay here but I was actually supposed to be down here for a mediation on Monday - my boss went and left me behind - I have an unwritten rule since my son was born of not traveling, but I wanted to scratch that rule right out when I found out we all were going to be able to stay here.

Marks South Beach, the Nash's lobby-level restaurant, offers world class cuisine and serves as the first Miami Beach location for Mark Milatello, the master chef celebrated for his five-star restaurants; Mark's on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and Marks on the Park in Boca Raton.

I have done two ghost tours - one in Savannah and one in York Harbour Maine.

The one in York was not a good one, but the one in Savannah is awesome. You start the tour in a cemetary and the night we started ours their were these character actors in the cemetary that set the stage dressed in period atire. We then would move on to many of the historic houses and they would tell the gruesome stories behind the inns and the houses. It all depends on your story teller, but ours was fabulous. You also have to set aside your more synical side and just have fun walking the streets at night listening to these totally wacky stories.

I find myself being the boss of our lives in spite of the fact of being without honor. That means that I do all the planning and working on everything including vacations. While it does mean that I get to go where I want it also means that I worry and fuss over every decision and miss out on a lot of fun since I am in charge of everyone else having fun.. (yes, I am married LOL)

I am enjoying hitching a ride along with all you fun loving folks and hope that you do not mind my taking it easy while you do all the work. I promise to respect your work and go along with any old thing that you dream up and enjoy the ride though. (smile)

When I win the big lottery and wake up twenty years younger (first more likely than the second) I plan to do each and every thing that I have read here.

I dream of England and am looking forward to what you all have up your sleeves when you get around to that magical isle.

Your new friend, Slightly Goofy/Linda

Hey Linda/SlightlyGoofy....don't be wishing to be 20 years younger. Get out there and do it now!!! You're as young as you feel. Man, hanging with this group I'm feeling about, oh, 23!!! Welcome and hang as long as you want!

Loving that hotel castlegazer. Thanks for the offer. Love a person with good connections.

:wave2: Oh, please, no, no, no Linda - that is not how it is done here - you need to take that love of planning, or is it not love at all and you really hate planning, and use it to dream up fun stuff for us to do while in port. We can be in many places at once due our super high speed limos that can jet us off to destinations aplenty. We sometimes have trouble walking to places due to a bar or two too many in one night but we do love to find new places to go to.

You can also just hitch along, but feel free to direct us in one direction or another if you feel like it. We also like to chit chat too.

Welcome aboard - or should I say to the beach today as we are South Beach Miami.

Next stop Cape Canaveral and then off to WDW on Monday. We are a bit slow risers on the weekends so don't look for too much action then.

Your always welcome Linda, and the more people we have making suggestions the more interesting things we get to go see.

WELCOME BACK TO FLORIDA, "HOMELESS DIS'ERS"! :) Thanks for alerting us to the fact that your ship has landed on the Southern coast! We will be ready for you, upon your arrival in Orlando! Just let us know when you dock in Port Canaveral and we will send our EWP Suite Motorcoach over to pick you all up and deliver you to your various resorts! Have a great weekend, Everyone! :)

Such a welcoming group, thank you all for making me smile. I fear that Rider forgot that we had an extra guest wing added onto the Suite especially for your visits. Private rooms for each with large and fully equipped common areas where you can relax, check your emails, plan your next trip or whatever you hearts desire.

Might I suggest that after you take a rest from your travels this afternoon that we meet in the living room for a visit before embarking upon our private motorcoach which is going to take us over to Rider's favorite place for the evening. An invitation only version of the Hawaiian Luau with food supplied by O"Hana and served by own own private men servants will start the evening. Seating has been arranged on the beach for our private viewing of the EWP and the Magic fireworks at MK. We will then be bussed over to EPCOT after it has been emptied of the crowds where we will be treated to special programs at the American Amitheater and around the World Showcase. If anyone has requests for special late night snacks it can be arranged to be brought to you wherever you may be. I have asked for Dole Whips to be served during the intermission as a welcoming gesture to the magic of Disney. At the end of the evening or morning, as it may be, we will be embarking upon an Illuminations cruise with extra effects being tested just for us. As we wend our way out on our individual Segways we will be surrounded by the formerly defunct Tapestry of Nations parade puppetry. If anyone wants to add any additional details to make the evening special please feel free to add it to the itinerary. There are no limits on what us Suite Ladies can accomplish!!

Slightly Goofy/Linda

I couldn't have said it better, myself, Linda! :)

So to all of you Homeless DIS'ers (I'd prefer to think of you as the "Traveling DIS'ers" or the "Vacationing DIS'ers" or the "Worldly DIS'ers"! :) ):

Be our Guest(s), Be our Guest(s)................................! :)

Tell your Driver to pick us up at port tomorrow around 830am we will be ready, and we will be ready to hit the parks, do some partying see some parades and do everything else WDW has to offer.

:rolleyes1 The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round......

EEeeDdddddddd, Are we THEEEERRRREE yet???????

I am so excited to get to meet you wanderers in person. The transportation is ready to go and so am I. Don't usually get up too early as I tend to wander the parks into the wee hours of the morning but will make an exception for you lovely people.

A private brunch for you has been arranged at the Castle with an early parade to be viewed while we eat. After that your wish is our command!!

SG/Linda
