Hollywood & Vine??

We walked in without a ressie, but it was 7:30ish. DH had the prime rib which was tough, but otherwise it was very yummy. The service was EXCELLENT. We got a quiet table in the very front corner and a waiter by the name of Mike who went above and beyond to help with park related questions on our 2nd night. He was attentive but did not hover, if you know what I mean.

Eh we ddin't think it was that great. I would try one of the other restaurants.

To be honest it is the only place we will never go back to out of all the places we have ate at.

If you really want to try it then go ahead. SOme like it some don't...it doesn't really have a good rep on the boards though.

I've eaten there a few times, most recent was 2 years ago, but thought the selection was good and the food was good (not great), but fresh and good quality, especially if you like buffets. They have something for everyone especially if you have picky eaters in your group and they also do the fantasmic dinner package.

Let's just say it is only one of three Disney restaurants we will NEVER go to again (and we tried it twice--both times with the same awful results).

We've been there twice in the last 2 years and didn't care for it much either time. We were there for the Little Einsteins character breakfast. DS is a huge LE fan. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back a second time. Don't think we'll try for 3 strikes.

DH and I have been there twice in the last 3 years or so. We didn't really enjoy it. The first time was just ok, the second time was pretty awful. We won't be going back.

However, I encourage you to give it a shot and form your own opinion. :) San Angel in Epcot tends to get pretty consistantly cruddy reviews here, but DH and I tried it a couple of weeks ago. We thought it was great - food was yummy, service and atmosphere were top notch. If we'd gone with the majority of the reviews, we would have missed out on a great experience for us. :)

that's true because we LOVE Trails End restaurant while others really don't like it. Now we ate at the restaurant in Canada- and didn't really like it that much.
I have had breakfast here a few times when the characters were still there and enjoyed it... so it's worth a try.

Terrible food, horrible service....this is one place that we will not give a second chance to

It was not so great. Service was fine. The buffet seemed messy to me and very meat heavy.

We ate there last month. It was okay. The service was great. I wanted to eat at MM but couldn't get a reservation with the Fantasmic dinner package. I'm not sure that we'll go back there. I figured if we didn't like it we could always grab something later.

I was worried before we left for our trip due to the negative things I had heard/read about it. Try it for yourself. Some seem to love it and others don't. Same with any other restaurant. There are two local Mexican restaurants in our town. One is wonderful and I'd eat there whenever. The other one is horrible. However there are some that like the one I dislike and hate the one I love.

We found plenty of things to eat.

Blech! We will not be returning! But maybe you should try it atleast once...who knows you might like it?! But I know there are many BETTER places to eat in DHS.

 whoa, lot's of neg. reviews... maybe I'll rethink that meal. ;)

I am not very picky. To us it was adequate. We ate.. some things were good.. others not so good. Nothing stood out as awful by any means .. but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again. Our server was very nice.. and we left full.. but nothing stood out for us.

I booked this for a Fantasmic package. I am starting to get worried.
I guess we will wing it though. Not everyone is disappointed. So that makes me feel a bit better lol.

The thing about H & V is that its a good buffet while most of the other Disney buffet's outshine it. If you are happy with a Ryan's or Golden Corral or Country Buffet, then chances are youll like H & V. If your comparing it to other Disney buffet's then it tends to suffer by comparison. An awful lot of folks who bash it wouldnt ever set foot in a non-disney buffet, so see where you fall on that scale.

Our family loves it though, mmmm spooned cornbread!

We will be doing this with the Fantasmic dinner package in November. Mama Melrose was our first choice but it was booked. I didn't see all the negative reviews, but I DON'T want to spend 2 TS credits on Brown Derby for Fantasmic. Crossing my fingers that it will be OK! We have some picky eaters in the family.

Just another alright restaurant. As said in earlier posts, some things were good and some were awful so I guess it just depends on your taste.
