Hollywood Studios Nighttime Entertainment Timing

Hi All! I have a question regarding how to best time my evening at HS. It looks like the night we’re visiting, Fantasmic! Is at 9PM, with the other two projection shows being at 8:25 & 8:45. Is it possible to see one or both of these and Fantasmic? Could I do just the 8:25 show and still get a decent seat?

It really depends on when you're visiting. Fantasmic can fill to capacity so if you're visiting during a busier time of the year, it could be touch and go if you could do both the 8:25 show and Fantasmic.

That being said, I would not count on getting a 'decent seat' regardless of when you visit if you choose to do one of the projection shows first. Arriving that late could mean standing room, seats located behind the main path, or possibly even capacity reached and unable to see Fantasmic.

Just my thoughts. Others may feel differently.

I generally agree. It's a gamble to try to watch that first show then get into Fantamic! You would likely be seated on the wings arriving that late, but also it could fill if it's a busy time of year. The Fantasmic! amphitheater does hold a lot of people, but there's still a risk.

If there's only one showing of Fantasmic, I would pick that over the projection show every time. If there is a second Fantasmic showing, go to the last one as it will be less hectic.

IMO there's no way to do one or both projection shows if you want to see Fantasic.
You can enter the theater 90 minutes prior to the show.

Thanks for the above! After looking a bit, is it possible to do the 8:25 show and then use a dining package ticket to see Fantasmic or is that still cutting it too close?

Still no guarantee you will get seats as they open the Dining package seating to other guests at some point before Fantasmic starts.

Just to add to the important comment from @scrappinginontario above, the reserved seating for Dining package guests opens 90 minutes before the scheduled start of Fantasmic and the CMs usually open the area to all guests at about the 25 minute mark before the show.
