Shontell over at www.dvcbyresale.com contacted me while we were on a mini-vacation and what a great phone call it was. I got the small contract that I was initially lookin' to get into DVC with and with banked points to boot!

It's a June Use Year contract for 75 points at OKW! Plus, all 75 were banked from 2002 giving me 150 right now!

I'm so happy and I want to thank everyone for your encouragement and support through my DVC quest! LOL

Soon, I'll be able to hear those special words...

First trip 'home' would probably be October or so. We'd like to catch the Food & Wine festival at Epcot since we've never done it before. Should be fun!

Well, it's official.....we are DVC members!!

Once again, I'd like to thank everyone that helped me through the process and gave us their support!

First trip home should be mid to late October (wifey and I are sitting down tonight for the exact dates) for the Food & Wine festival. Shontell (www.DVCByResale.com) stated that it would take approximately 3 to 5 business days to show us in the system at Disney's member services, so we'll just come up with the dates and hope that they are available.

Well, I've updated the timeline and hopefully it'll help someone that is in the process or looking to get into a resale.

Actually, Shontell had mentioned to me that it takes anywhere from 3 to 5 business days to get added to the system. I waited the 5 days before bothering the good folks at MS and then finally called on Wednesday.

I spoke with Beverly. Nice, but scripted. Meaning, she sounded like she was reading things from a script. Beverly let me know that all of the 1BR units were taken for the days that I wanted (Oct 23rd & 24th) except for the 24th at OKW and that's what I got. So, I got the 24th and on the waitlist for the 23rd. I'm also on the waitlist for BWV and BCV for both days (since they were completely out) just in case.

I happened to receive the information later that evening though, to my surprise.
