Jezebel: Jezebel was in her office when a painting informed her that there were two new students in the Hospital Wing. The person refused to tell her why they were there. And so, she hurried down, wondering what could have happened. She entered the Hospital Wing and gasped. Two transfer students. both young ladies, were in beds. She saw one of the nurses. "Surely, they can't be... They're Petrified... How? How could this have happened?" She imagined the letter she'd be writing to the Headmistress of Beauxbatons tonight. Jezebel couldn't keep this from her, nor he girls' families.

Professor Black: If she had been expecting something, it certainly wasn't this. "You...oh. You said 'he'. So it wasn't anyone we know?" So she put him up to it, did she? "Why didn't you ever tell me?" she asked gently.

Jezebel: Jezebel moaned. "The Basilisk," she said. "Yes... Well, the Professors must be notified... We'll figure this out, I will not let this happen to my school. Expecto Patronum!" A silver jay burst from her wand. She spoke to it. "The Chamber of Secrets had been opened. Two Beauxbatons students have been Petrified. Get to my office as soon as possible." She waved her wand and the bird sped off to relay the message to the Professors. Jezebel left the Hospital Wing and entered her office, where she began to write a letter to the Headmistress of Beauxbatons.

Then Christine came out of nowhere, brought down a wall on them. Then she pulled me to my feet, we were asking each other if we were okay, I was hugging her, and then he killed her. So I killed him, and I felt no remorse. I wanted him to die, I wanted to see him in pain. Christine was dead in my arms, that was all that mattered."

Jane: She quietly slipped away and back to Cindy. She felt sick again, but not from transforming. " Cindy I need to tell you something..."

Professor Black: Melanie felt a stab of pain inside her-she knew how he felt. There was nothing more cruel than taking a loved one from your arms, having nothing you can do to get them back. "That's why you left," she softly said. "It wasn't your fault, you know. There wasn't anything you could do. As for the death eater...they would have killed more innocent. You were upset, and all they could do was laugh and
kill more." They received the patronus. "No...we'd better go," she said.

Melanie had waited, of course, until a while into her first year to tell Evan about anything, but the subject of families eventually came up. To have someone there to listen, to support you, and to help you was the best thing a kid could have.

Cindy: Cindy's eyes widened. "That's terrible!" she exclaimed. She wasn't as worried as Jane was, however. She was a pureblood, even though she never used the term. But her friend was not. Disappointment gnawed at her. This was not her friend's secret. "So," she casually, "What were you and Gab talking to my mum about?"

Gabrielle: she heard people talking about the basilisk. She was a pureblood, so it was frightening, but she knew she wasn't in as much danger as others, but she was still scared. She went out into the halls to find someone, because no one was in the common room she wanted to talk to.
