OOC: Luck to you!

Prof. Smith: "By accident really."

Professor Black: She merely shook her head and smiled. It would take an eternity to get him to understand. "You came back," she repeated, "that's all that matters."

Prof. Smith: "I don't know how you can think that, I betrayed everyone! I let them all down."

Prof. Smith: "I don't know how you can think that, I betrayed everyone! I let them all down."

Professor Black: "Evan Smith, you've been through a lot. You and Christine, the children of Tommy Smith, dealt with dozens of stupid, accusing people who hadn't any idea who you really were. With all of that you still had the strength to care for yourself and your sister. Over fifty of our side were killed in the war. There was nothing you could do. We were seventh years, so it wasn't like we had more schooling. After everyone was buried, you left, and that's okay. You were going your own way just like the rest of us. I haven't any how that would be betrayal. You came back when you were ready, because even though it may have been accidental you stayed."

Prof. Smith: Evan chuckled darkly. "Funny you should bring Dad up, apparently he wrote a whole album about the war and Christine's death and my abandonment. I'm sure it says nothing good when it comes to me, Christine was always the favorite. I abandoned you all, I betrayed you. You needed me and I left."

Cindy: Cindy's eyes widened. "That's terrible!" she exclaimed. She wasn't as worried as Jane was, however. She was a pureblood, even though she never used the term. But her friend was not. Disappointment gnawed at her. This was not her friend's secret. "So," she casually, "What were you and Gab talking to my mum about?"

Jane: " Yesterday, I had been in the bathroom when instructions were given. Gab came to find me, and a werewolf bit both of us. Gab almost killed Jackson when she transformed, and I held her down. So, I'm a werewolf. "

Professor Black: She had never followed Tommy Smith, so this was news to her. "So you're going to listen to your father, then," she started, "the father that pulled you into the limelight because of his stupid fights. You didn't abandon him-he abandoned you, and don't even try to object, because you know it's true. You two weren't getting any support from your parents-Christine told me," she explained quickly. "I know you tried to hide it, at least at one point, but I could tell. And, Ev, you need to heal yourself before you can help anyone else. You'd done more than I could have asked for already, and I knew you needed your space. If I hadn't known you were so hurt I would have found you myself." She was determined to talk some sense into him, and didn't want him to go thinking he was awful because he'd left. Sure, it'd been a hard year, but she'd survived. He wasn't responsible for any of it. If anyone was, it was her, because she'd known her relatives. It was her fault for putting both of them in danger. It was her responsibility to keep them safe because of that, and she hadn't. It hurt seeing all the regret for something he hadn't been able to control for so long.

OOC: I'm on now!! Could somebody update me??

OOC: two exchange students have been petrified (decided chamber is now open so yeah). I was thinking that maybe because Finch can talk to snakes and she escaped with the basilisk she's behind it? Also something that might be important for you is that Mel and Evan have realized how Finch works-torturing the "blood traitors" by hurting/killing anyone they're close to. Oh and all teachers should be going to Jay's office.

Prof. Smith: "What I did was wrong, no matter how many excuses you use. It's not enough, it never was enough, not with you, not with Christine, not with the stupid media."

OOC: Alright. I don't want Finch to be behind it if possible though. And what happened to bad stuff taking a break??? Lol

Professor Black: "I never understood why you always felt so responsible for me," she said. "you did everything you could. Christine thought you were wonderful, she always did! She loved you, Evan, more than I'd ever seen anyone love their family. You were just a boy and not legally responsible for her. And if you'd like to see how the media works, go talk to Harry! He was lied about for at least two years in the Daily Prophet." She didn't like how this was getting to his head; it was starting to upset her.

OOC: okay, that's fine. You weren't on or I'd've asked you...lol wasn't my idea though I did go along with it :) I'm not sure what the whole plan is, but guessing it'll be like chamber of secrets only regarding the attacks. So like every once-in-a-while I guess (might want to ask Cind 'bout that), not like the battle. Fluff'll still get it's place.

OOC: I was actually gonna have the snake be killed......

Prof. Smith: "Because in my mind you're as much as my blood sister as Christine was. And I couldn't save what mattered most in the end. I couldn't save her. And every time I relive it, it kills me."

Professor Black: Melanie stayed quiet. Evan felt guilty...but it wasn't his fault, it couldn't be. "Evan, it was my stupidity that finished her, I thought we'd already established that," she said. "There wasn't anything you could do. Nothing at all. Please don't kill yourself over this, because I can't stand to see you suffering like you are. Please, please forgive yourself. Forgive me."

Prof. Smith: He knew it was his fault, he had not kept her from returning to Hogwarts after the minors were sent away. "It's not your fault. Come on, we should be getting to Jay's office."

Professor Black: She gave up. As much as she hated seeing Evan like this, she didn't know what else to say. "Alright."

Prof. Fitzgerald: With a mocha in hand he headed out to Jez's office. He saw Mel and Evan up ahead. He rolled his eyes. "Hey Mel! Or should I say Professor Black." It felt weird to call her that. He sipped his mocha and caught up to the pair.

Professor Black: She was still a bit upset over Evan, but tried to look a little less depressing when Fitzgerald came up. It was his first day, after all. "Oh, no, Mel's fine," she said. "Sorry you've showed up on such a bad day...these things don't normally happen, at least not since we were in school."
