Do you participate in those campaigns at school?
You know, the ones where you sell something to raise money for the school and you get prizes.
You know, the ones like Run For the Cure teams.
The reason I'm asking, is just well..
I don't know.
My parents don't let my participate in any of those now, the prizes get cheaper and my parents hate me asking people for money. And I myself, don't enjoy asking people.
We don't sell chocolate, we sell magazines, so we usually get bigger prizes, which are great, but if you only sell four, you get cheap prizes. If you sell 30+ you get a tv or something. It's hardly worth it.

Here, elemantary and high schools both do wrapping paper. The parents just buy what they want (which really isn't anything as it's so overpriced) and it's not a door to door selling thing at all. In the middle school, this company called QSP does a magazine. It would probably work better if it wasn't every year, as many of the subsriptions are 1.5 or two years. And they expect you to sell sell sell. No one really liked it at all, and the "prizes" for lack of a better word, were tiny pompoms with little eyes and feet attached. What a waste of time! And you can get the magazines cheaper elsewhere.

we do to. we sell spectrum mags.

Our school does the magazine drive, traditionally. However, after no one was participating in it (myself included) they reduced it so that only the freshmen and student council get started on it. If you want to take part you have to go see one of them...yeah as if anyone is going to go ask someone for that... lol. Our fundraising abilities are steadily decreasing and rather quickly, I might add.

We can't sell candy anymore do to the new federal rule...but how strict are they going to be with that!? Yeah okay the feds will get on our case at our school if we eat a candy bar in English class, or a cookie in Math class...don't call the police though, it's just a brownie!! lol. :rotfl:
