Thinking about a late Nov/early Dec trip for 2015, and I was just curious if Disney have offered some kind of discount in the past (room only or whatnot )for around after Thanksgiving/early Dec? :confused3 TIA!

The answer is yes, the PP has supplied a good link. What is noteworthy is that while discounts are still offered for the time frame in question, Disney seems to be rolling them back. I believe this year's free DDP offer covered a shorter and more restrictive time period than previous releases, and fewer resort options were offered in the GP offering (notably POR) as well.

This past August Disney rolled out a special offer for late fall early winter discount offer for rooms. 30% for Deluxe and 20% for Moderates. We booked for a November 1 arrival date this past August and the room was a standard room at Port Orleans Riverside, and it was $144.00 a night which is pretty cheap.

Coronado Springs was the same price, as well as the other moderates, seems like Caribbean Beach or the French Quarter was $10 more..

They always seem to have this offer for the Fall, of course Thanksgiving is blacked out and the offer is usually for booking up to a week or so before Christmas

The problem with Mousesavers is that they don't list the BLACKOUT dates, which is what you need to look out when guesstimating discounts for the next year.

The first week of December has been blacked out for discount for at least the last five years. Late November will depend on when Thanksgiving falls. When it falls late, like this year, you don't see many discounts. You best bet for a deep November discount is the second week of November and the best bet for a deep December discounts is December 12 - 20. With package discounts like Free Dining and Stay/Play/Dine, you can check in on the last day of the promo and get the discount applied to your entire stay. With a room only reservation it is only good for the specific dates of the promo.

8/31/14-12/23/14 discounted package deal (Free Dining) for general public (blacked out 10/4-10/25, 11/2-11/8, and 11/21-12/11)

yes they do, but for the current year, not previous years.

Disney profits are up and travel in general has picked up this year.

Don't count on deep discounts for year of 2015 unless things start to tank.

Frozen is killing so of the discounts.

I agree, early December is not a guarantee for a discount. The new bounceback is a room only offer for 2015. November dates end on the 20th and the only December dates offered are 12/12 to 12/23. The Christmas parade tapes the first weekend in Dec & Pop Warner competition starts then too. Disney has definately been cutting back on discounts for that time frame for the last few years.
