Aren't they interesting? Hillary is responsible for all the evils of the world according to some and I certainly don't know where they come up with the nonsense. I kind of know now how Bush supporters feel except he really is responsible. ;)

I personally think that Hillary is doing an honorable thing. I don't think that she likes Obama or really believes he's the best candidate yet she's doing her duty and supporting him. I don't know what more they can ask. :confused3

Weeeeellllll, he's not responsible for everything.......just the vast majority of the negative ones. :thumbsup2

Democratic convention dramas to watch

Some Highlights from the article.....

Netroots grievance

Four years ago, their presence was greeted with confusion and bemusement — no one knew what to do with the Internet interlopers behind Howard Dean’s emergence.
Will the famously cantankerous Netroots get behind Obama with hyperpartisan vigor? Or will they be consumed by subdramas that dampen their spirits?

Will Bill sulk?
Will he use this opportunity to bury the hatchet? Or will he continue to fan media speculation about a rift between the Clintons and Obama? The ex-president is famous for wandering off-message and ad-libbing; it isn’t clear whether he or the Obama campaign will be able to keep that habit in check.

Rogue Clinton delegates

Over 1,500 loyal pledged delegates for Hillary Rodham Clinton will attend the convention — though the most anti-Obama delegates, such as the Wisconsin backer who said she would support McCain, have been kept from attending.
Clinton’s staff has created a “whip team” to keep supporters from getting out of control. But the moment of catharsis — which could also include a resolution condemning media sexism — combined with a pro-Hillary rally through the streets of Denver scheduled for the second day of the convention (and the anniversary of women’s suffrage), could easily spiral into chaos on live television.

The Speech

Outshining his own memorable 2004 keynote address is a tall enough order for Obama. He also has the burden of a delivering a memorable acceptance speech in a stadium venue that seats more than 70,000 and has been expanded specifically for the event.
Some of the 15,000 journalists attending won’t be able to get into the actual stadium. Other media outlets will need to move their entire studios and workplace in one day.
And, if that’s not enough pressure, think about the date: the 45th anniversary of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech

The next time around

As the Obama-Clinton race entered its final days, the uncertain status of the Michigan and Florida delegations, which had been penalized for holding unauthorized primaries, held the Democratic Party hostage. The Clinton campaign hinted it would take the race all the way to the convention if the results from the rogue primaries didn’t count.

Maybe I will enjoy this election season after all. The Obamites are fighting with the McCainites and I don't have a horse in the race. I can sit back and enjoy the drama. popcorn::

I give up on this whole thing. I’m moving to Bermuda to get lost in the triangle. I’m hoping for a sandy white beach and a fruity drink to sip on as I lay out in the sun and not worry about sleazy politicians that are going to continue to mess this great country up.

Anyone care to join me? :sunny:

On a hopeful note: My sister was a Hillary Supporter. My sister is extremely liberal. You couldn’t point a gun to her head and force her to vote Republican for anything. I assumed that she’d be on the Obama bandwagon now so I haven’t discussed politics with her.

Well.. on her facebook today, you can type in whatever your doing/thinking at the moment and it will say “your name” is (whatever you type). So today hers read: “my sister’s name” is so not into Obama.

So, I have some hope that she’ll sit this election out or vote 3rd party. There’s no way she’d vote McCain. I’m really more in the center leaning towards the right so I don’t have a problem voting McCain but my sister never would vote Republican.

There was a tiny part of me that was hoping BO would pick Hillary. Then maybe I could stomach voting for him and his ego. But alas, BO picks someone who got 9,000 votes as opposed to someone who got 18,000,000. Once again he shows how brilliant he is. Well at least now I can easily not vote for a Dem.

Looks like another 4 years of republican rule. The dems just keep shooting themselves in the foot. :confused3

You got that right....I have nothing against Biden but he also has no economic experience :confused3 and why would I want to vote for Obama because he picked someone that has ran for POTUS twice and got no where because no one wanted him. So wheres the logic:confused3

I am so tired of hearing that Obama know needs to show us HS what he can do and his issues...well we know that all ready so that wont help. What he needs to do is convince us that even though he lacks experience he is still better than McCain and explain reall hard why...and not use the fact that just bcause he is a DEM we should vote for him.. He needs me to hate McCain....in order to vote for him....you know vote for the less evil.

And Obama who is so much for change picks Biden:lmao: What the media does not get is the more they talk the more I want McCain. And not vetting Hillary really pisses me off since he said how much Hillary would be on anyone's short list.....giving the impression that she was on his SL this whole time....gee another Obama lie??????

What would you do if McCain was to pick Lieberman? At this point I am more interested in McCains campaine thatn Obama. UGG

Im PACKING NOW!:cool1:

Woo-hoo! One on board for a flight that's going down in the triangle so that the rest of our days can be spent lying on a beach and enjoying the stress-free atmosphere. :cool1:

I hope they have a lapu lapu. I’m going to Ohanna’s for my first time in October on my one day WDW trip. One of those sound really good right about now….

How would you feel about McCain if he picked Lieberman as his VP...would that pushe you undeciders closer to voting for him?

Aslo has Biden changed your mind and pushed you closer to voting for him regaurdles of his lack of experiance, bad judgement, and everything that comes along iwth Obama????

If I read another OS talking about McCain not knowing how many houses he owns as if that means anything in this election I am going to puke....who the hell cares:confused3 on the OT they are also talking about a 3 minute segment about McCain explaining it and laughing how he is using his POW history to explain.

I saw that fast interview and McCain made sense on what he said...but so what...same with Obama stating over and over about the 5 million means you are rich....well that's not how it went down with the 5 million....McCain was stating that what different sis it make how much money you have that makes you rich...he just said that off of his head but Obama and his Supporters have twisted it.

I may not vote for McCain but Obama just keeps pissing me off and so do his supporters:mad:

Hi folks.

Back from my soggy trip to WDW.....

We left on Thursday the 14th - and it was raining when we arrived. We had about two days of sun (Friday & Sunday) - then Fay hit on Tuesday. The sun was coming out as we left yesterday.......

But we put everything in perspective - people were being flooded out of their homes - we just got wet on vacation....... and still managed to visit most of our favorite attractions!

As for Biden? He actually was my first choice before Hillary - so yeah - I'm probably going to vote for them......

Hope all is well with everyone!!!!

Hey, don't forget me! :beach:

Biden has reinforced my belief that BO is small-minded and petty. He has so many of what were called Hillary's negatives, yet with Biden they don't matter.

Also, it reinforces the hipocrisy of BO's campaign, which twisted Bill Clinton's words about J. Jackon and South Carolina to look racist, yet Biden gets away with the "clean" remark, a repugnant and clearly racist comment if I ever heard one. I asked about this discrepancy to an OS in another thread, and got no reply. There's no excuse for such double standard. It just turns me off even more.

I'm in, but I'm leaving the husband and kids at home. None of them can vote so they don't need a vacation! :rotfl2:

I posted on the Cons thread and asked if McCain were to take on Liberman on his ticket would that change there vote for him....I was very interested to find that it would not and that they did not have to much of a problem with it even though he is a Dem.....they would prefer a REp but there vote would remain the same.

Well, I don't think any of them will vote for the other choice: Obama - do you? ;)

No not at all but was curious if it would keep them from voting period.....having a DEM on the ticket. even on the news they are talking about a smart move fit would be for McCain to pick Lieberman to get the HS and Independents. It would definitely make McCain look more appealing for me.
