Hillary Supporters unite part 2; no bashing please

You know, every time I read a post about the ‘bitter’ HS not voting for Obama ‘out of spite’ I just shake my head. When I see them make comments that some of us are refusing to vote for Obama because “our candidate didn’t win the election” I just shake my head. In their ignorance, they just don’t get it.

I’ve yet to meet or read about a single HS who’s not voting for Obama because ‘Hillary didn’t win the nomination’… The people that I have met and have read about that are Hillary supporters who aren’t voting for Obama are refusing do to so because of the blatant corruptness they witnessed in this primary:

-Caucus fraud
-DNC behind close doors for four hours before illegally awarding Obama with some of Hillary’s delegates
-Only punishing the two of the four states for moving the primary up – and those two happened to favor Hillary
-The past few weeks of Obama illegally replacing Hillary delegates with his own
-Severe media bias

The list goes on. Then there’s the corruption about Obama himself surfacing:

-Obama’s lack of accomplishments in his district as Illinois Senator – a two year old is now dead because of Obama’s ‘buddies’ (Rezko isn’t the only Rezko out there) pocketing money and leaving the poor in dilapidated, roach infested buildings without proper plumbing. When confronted with the issue, Obama had to finally admit that “maybe some complaints came into his office – but he wasn’t certain”

(About the two year old – an unstable wall that needed repairs eons ago fell and crushed him as he was riding his tricycle as he mother watched)

-Almost anything that Obama boasts about now as an accomplishment – research it. You’ll find it to be full of corruption.

Let’s see.. the three brothers from Georgia (Palestine) donating over 30 grand to his campaign (they claim they haven’t been refunded. Obama’s campaign claims they have. It’s really hard to figure out which of the two is lying.. but I have an idea…)

-Oh, he takes tons of lobbyist money – he just back doors it in and then gives McCain crap for McCain’s lobbyist ties.

Oh, the Conservs pulled a great article today that’s worth a read:
http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/can-obama-survive-the-annenberg-cover-up/2/

-He took $110 million of charity funds that were to go to help improve public education and instead gave it to William Ayers (you know, the man that he’s “not” friends with) and another guy.

This list can go on.. but I’ll stop here for now.

But those are valid reasons to not want this man in Washington and it has nothing to do with being a sore loser over our chosen candidates loss. When the OS realize that the primary was corrupted, that the DNC favored Obama and ensured he got his place, when they acknowledge that Obama is the one who pulled the race card and slandered the Clintons and at the same time would make comments about Hillary such as ‘well certain times of the month….’ and when they finally stop blaming Hillary for tons of crap she hasn’t done –she’s unfairly being the scapegoat for everything - then, and only then will true healing of the Democratic Party begin.

When the Republicans who hate, hate, hate the Clintons begin speaking up and saying that she was served an extremely low blow by her party – that’s saying something.

So, if Obama fairly has won this primary than George W Bush fairly won the Presidential election of 2000.

But I’m not making my first political post of the day to talk about that. Today I’m here to talk about how gracious Hillary has been though out all of this. When if finally looked like there wasn’t going to be anything fair about this election she admitted defeat, suspended her campaign and graciously threw her support behind Obama for the sake of the party. She asked her supporters to support Obama. She, along with him, threw a fundraiser with her backers to get them to financially support him. She stepped out of the spotlight and allowed him to take center stage while she quietly went back to work at the Senate. She’s been out campaigning for Obama.

Not.Once.Has Hillary whined about stepping down. I can’t say she’s lost until this convention is over since neither she nor Obama got enough delegates from the primaries to be declared the winner. But she’s held her head high and threw her support behind the jerk of her opponent and never said a word. She finally spoke of the sexism that she did have to endure at the end of her race and it was more matter of factly that she spoke about it – she never once whined about it. Obama gave an entire speech about the racism he felt he was enduring during the primaries but I only heard Hillary mention sexism once and she’s still getting reamed for it. And there was sexism – out of Obama’s mouth – out of the meida’s mouth – out of the guy’s mouth that showed up to one of her speeches with a sign that read “Iron My Shirt” while he continuously chanted it over and over… but the media forgot to cover “little” things like that. But I’m certain that had someone shown up to one of Obama’s rallies with a sign that read “Shine My Shoes” it’d be front page news for a week.

So, for those still with me (DISUNC, Moon.. you guys better still be here  ) This is what has royally pissed me off today and got me started.

And this false piece of crap is one reason the Democratic Party will never heal itself – at least not for a long while. It's just pissing the HS off at Obama and the OS even more.

:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: I wholeheartedly agree with everything you pointed out.

I really don't care why an OS thinksthey know why I am not voting for Obama. Let them think all they want.

I can see it now when Obama loses in November the OS will turn around and blame Hillary --- like you said it is always Hillary's fault, never Obama's.

I did not watch any of the DNC. I just could not stomach the "feel the love" movement  Although I did catch a snipet of Kennedy on the news.

Dolce, rehashing the reason again and again is pointless. We know why we are not voting and no matter how many times we tell them (and I have repeated myself 'till I'm blue in the face), the only thing they hear is bitterness. However, I understand where they are coming from. These are the same people who threatened riots if Obama did not get the nomination. If he had lost, they would be bitter and so they are transferring their own feelings to us and to Hillary, who has been nothing but supportive since bowing out of the race.

I know. That’s why I told Got Disney that I’m aware that I’m preaching to the choir. Sometimes I'm just posting to let off a bit of steam is all. That youtube video was so insulting and watching that after reading several OS posts about their 'assumptions' as to why some of us refuse to vote for Hillary ... I just needed to let off a bit of steam last night.

Agreed.

So Rasmussen is showing that Biden has given a bump to....McCain. I wonder, is this really a surprise to anyone, really? to anyone? Most OS seemed to just accept that BO knew what he was doing -with some of them elated that it wasn't Hillary. Later they tried to work up some enthusiasm for Biden, but deep down I think they knew it was a big mistake.

Most everyone agrees that choosing Hillary would have made for a virtually invincible ticket. Yet Obama went elsewhere.

This tells me that he's either 1) So arrogant that he believes his own publicity and still sees himself as the Golden Guy who hypnotizes crowds and makes women faint. He thinks that he's a sure bet to win this by himself. He'll show everyone...

2) He'd rather lose than share the spotlight or risk being eclipsed by her. This shows us (again) that as far as he is concerned, BO comes before party and/or country. Is his way or the highway.

Many of us on this thread have speculated that the reason the DNC selected BO is that they couldn't wait to have their own Democratic version of Bush. A puppet to show off while being manipulated behind the curtains....but (unfortunately) I just don't see BO going for this. My way or the highway

Hmm, maybe it takes a while for the "convention bump" to show up in the polls. :confused3

Rasmussen was talking about a "VP choice bump", not a "convention bump"

Yes, I imagine we won't know for a while about any convention bump

I found the DNC very boring...to far and between for good speakers. They reach out to grab you and instead of moving right along they stopped. They could have cut all those hrs down to 2...Michelle did well but it did not budge me closer to Obama at all. I find it very hard to buy anything Michelle or Obama say. I wish it was not that way for me but it is.

They said they are expecting a 10-15 bump in the polls after the convention but also expect it to drop again when the debates start. This is not a happy election year for at least 18 million  we are not alone :thumbsup2

My mistake. I didn't even realize there was supposed to be a "VP choice bump." Well, maybe if he picked Hillary there would have been one.

Hey you guys, Hillary will be great tonight! Anyone else excited? What time is she speaking, I have to tivo 'cause I'm getting up at 5am.

They have said that with biden they dont expect him to gain to big of a bump if any...but they dont expect him to loose any either because of it.....they are expecting a 10-15 bump during the Convention but than it to fall back down but they are not sure how far it will drop.

They said as you know that if he wanted a sure win than he should have chosen Hillary. He must really hate her to not even vett her...or Michell must really hate her......maybe both do:santa:

I came to see if anyone knew when Hillary was speaking too. I guess that I'll just keep the TV on the convention in the background because I really, really want to see her!

I believe its 10:00 PM. There's a video tribute of her too.

Ok… anyone know who the CNN commentators are? Anyone watching? I think one is Wolf Blitzer. I never watch CNN (well, sometimes a little at work) most of my news comes from the internet.

Anyway, I turned CNN on to see if I could find out when Hillary was speaking and one of the female commentators brought up how some people are upset that Hillary didn’t “get on board” quickly enough. She then went on to reference past conventions where people like Ted Kennedy and Gary Hart sure didn’t jump on board quickly or easily and asked why Hillary is being held to a different standard than her male counterparts - especially since Hillary won a lot more votes in her primary than they did. She then went on to state/ask why the woman was expected to lay down and let him take the stage in a way the males that came before her were not.

For most of it, the men seemed to look shocked – at least to me. They couldn’t do much but give half hearted agreements (unless they wanted to blatantly come across as sexist), but they didn’t seem to have much to say about it. I’m just surprised that a station like CNN had a commentator hit on that point. FOX news seems to be the only place really willing to tell it as it is anymore.

Grrr.... I'm staying out of most of the political threads until McCain becomes the OS' focus. I'm tired of the fuss and some of them just won't let it go will they?

Here's to a good speech tonight! :)

FINALLY!!! I can't believe someone said this on TV! I'm not watching. I wonder who the commentator is?

:thumbsup2 I was listening to it on Sirius radio on my way into work. I thought it was Campbell Brown who said it....But I could be wrong...they have a slew a guest on. I was sort of paying attention to traffic.
