Wow I cant get over how many media are saying that Obama's best bet is Hillary at this point. How do you all feel about Biden on the ticket....will that make you for sure vote for Obama? At this point I am 40% Obama 60% McCain. If McCain was about 10 years younger that % would be higher. Interested to see who his VP will be....I'm thinking Romney

So If Hillary is on the ticket will you than turn to Obama? It would change my % to Obama's favor.
Nope, would not change a thing. Right now I am 90% for McCain and 10% just not voting for anyone.
I don't care if Obama puts Jesus himself on the ticket, I would not vote for the guy.

I really pray that Hillary is NOT on the ticket. She will just be a scrapgoat for him and his supporters.

I really don't care who he puts on his ticket --- just not Hillary!
I say Hillary should just come back in 2012. I don't want Obama taking Hillary down with him when he loses the election! :thumbsup2 ;)

Exactly how I feel.

Apparently, Obama never even CONSIDERED Sen. Clinton for the VP slot.

I'm no OS (or HS) by any means, but she would've definitely brought a lot of strength, experience and support to the Obama campaign.
Regardless of if he was even considering picking her, if the stories are true that he didn't even go through the motions and pretend to consider her for the job after saying she would be on anyone's list and her getting 18 mil votes in the primary (again notice the phrase if the stories are true all you people out there that are reading this thread) he's a bigger idiot that I thought.

There are conflicting stories about this so who knows what the real truth is. I'm guessing some politicians are playing the media for some reason.

The last that I heard from her campaign, about a month or so ago, she wasn't being vetted. Doesn't mean that that Obama turned around after that statement was released and began the vetting process on her. But in my opinion, he never considered her. Doesn’t mean that I’m right – but that’s what I honestly believe.

I thought she couldn't be a candidate for VP because she and Bill couldn't go through the vetting process becasue of what they would have to disclose? Some think he should ask her out of courtesy and respect but that she would have to decline anyway because they don't want to release all the necessary info.

That would make no sence:confused3 sure that anything that could have been brought out about her would have already....that was a point made by the media many times that at least we knew what we were getting with Hillary.

If I find out that Obama never even vetted Hillary than all bets are off for me ever voting for him. Not because he did not want her but because he did not even take the time to consider her. He could have had her vetted yet still turn her down.....that would keep him from looking like a lier as for saying she would be on anyones top list

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080822/ap_on_el_pr/veepstakes

Hillary Rodham Clinton's prospects remained a mystery on a day full of them, although senior aides said the Obama campaign had never requested financial or other records from her.

And later...

Edwards, whom Speaker Nancy Pelosi had touted for running mate, told reporters in Waco, Texas, "I have had interactions with the Obama campaign over the last several months but I will not get into details."

One Democratic official with knowledge of the conversation said Obama told Pelosi recently that she would be pleased with the choice.

Exactly what kind of process would they have to go through with her as VP that they wouldn't with her as POTUS?

Hey guys. I've been staying out of the news so I won't be caught up in the games the media and politicians are playing with the VP thing. Drives me nuts!

In the back of my mind, I was hoping for Hillary so I could get excited about this race again. In a BIG way I'm hoping for her to come back in 2012 instead of being on the ticket now.

I need to be excited, but so far no dice.

Hillary should stay clear away from the Obama Train wreck!:thumbsup2

I cant see Obama picking anyone who might overshadow his Glory!:rolleyes1

:wizard: Have a GREAT time. Take Care!:flower3:

or who might try to run the country behind his back

Nah, I think Obama's proven to be much more underhanded than Hillary. I'd worry about that if the roles were reversed : Hillary as President and Obama as VP. Obama is extremely power hungry and ruthless in his pursuit.

Something nice: I’m looking at this month’s Self Magazine and they’ve listed Hillary as one of their 10 Most Inspiring Women:

Hillary Clinton
For helping every young girl get closer to becoming Madame President

Voters may not have bestowed the Democratic nomination upon Hillary Clinton, 60, but Clinton has bestowed upon us a sense of possibility: In speech after speech, debate after debate, even campaign-trail beer after beer, she banished all doubt that, yes, a woman can be commander in chief. Despite rampant chauvinism and media-sanctioned misogyny (pundits called her a “she-devil”), Clinton fought for universal health care, ending the Iraq war and protecting the earth. As Susan Faludi wrote in The New York Times, “When a woman does ascend through the glass ceiling into the White House, it will be, in part, because of the race of 2008… when Hillary got down with the boys.” She may have lost, but because of her, all women are winners. –E.B.

Just exactly like Yoko Ono knew what it's like to be a Beatle

:love1:

Well - I am thinking that Yoko probably did have more knowledge of what it's like to be a Beatle than the Jr. Intern at the record company, don'tcha think?
