I came over to talk about Bill's interview from Africa and Hillary's time slot at the convention BUT I see this is no longer a Hillary support thread. I'm suprised that Dawn hasn't found you guys. Someone should pm her and invite her to join.

I cannot for the life of me find anything about Obama's new and improved abortion stance. Can someone link it for me, please.
This story (what I posted above) did hit mainstream news yesterday.. I didn't realize that.
Palestinian Brothers in Gaza Illegally Donate to Obama $29K, Says Reporter Aaron Klein

Don't know. I haven't been following that topic. All I know is the flap about the magazine interview he gave - which the link for is posted above. I don't know what he says today is his official stance on the subject.
Interesting, we were just discussing Hillary's time slot a page or so back. You are more than welcome to continue that discussion instead of making snide comments that serve no purpose. If snide comments are all you are interested in making, maybe a thread started by Dawn is more your speed.
Sorry, I looked and looked for something positive at all about Hillary or anyone. Nothing. I guess you think my comparing your bashing of Obama to Dawn's bashing of Obama is 'snide.' I thought it simply honest and I guess I was a little distressed to find such similar posts being made by people who supported Senator Clinton. I just meant to say that since you all have officially joined the other side, why not join them or ask them to join you. One big party instead of lots of little ones, ya know? Strength in numbers. I also don't understand the hate and before you protest, read the last three pages of this thread.
Adding: Oh, and since it was primarily Dems (with independents like myself) that supported Hillary, why wouldnt the Dems continue to discuss the Dem nominee when they arent happy with the choice? Not all Democrats are going to get on the bandwagon behind Obama just because the DNC said jump! This thread wasn't formed by Republicans.
Did Dawn's 'Whose going to read Obama Nation' -- or whatever the title was go poof? I'm not seeing it in my list of subscriptions and I was supposed to send someone a PM of links to Obama's connections with stuff. I can't remember who that person is and I'm not finding Dawn's thread to look.
Yea, that thread went "poof" very quickly. I was not keeping up with it, so I have no idea why, but it is gone now.
Interesting article about Hillary Supporters-OS reconciliation.

And the same AP articles were both on yahoo news and MSNBC online:A new Obama ad says Big Oil filled McCain's campaign with $2 million in contributions and that he "wants to give them another $4 billion in tax breaks." That $4 billion consists mainly of potential revenue from a McCain proposal to lower corporate taxes on all American businesses.
In stumping Tuesday in this key battleground state, Obama sought to link the troubled economy with Republican policies and offer his own energy plan in contrast. He has tried to cast McCain as more concerned about oil company profits and drilling than an overall energy strategy.
However, Obama himself voted for a 2005 energy bill backed by Bush that included billions in subsidies for oil and natural gas production, a measure Cheney played a major role in developing. McCain opposed the bill on grounds it included billions in unnecessary tax breaks for the oil industry.
The Obama campaign has said the Illinois senator supported the legislation because it included huge investments in renewable energy.
McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds, said, "Barack Obama is opposed to offshore drilling and is also opposed to admitting that he voted for the same corporate giveaways for Big Oil that he's campaigning against today."
About Obamas energy plan. What exactly is it? I know there have been a couple of arguments about several aspects of it on this message board between the OS and several Conservatives but, I just dont think his plan is practical. The McCain campaign pointed out that the ad doesn't mention Obama has taken some $400,000 from oil company executives.
Was interesting. I've been paying attention to PUMA. I don't think that they'll like or agree with the beginning of the article. They arent thawing to Obama at all.
I'm not thawing to him either. I don't remember where I read this, but apparently the number of Hillary supporters who say they will vote for Obama has not budged since he got the nom. None of the pundits were expecting that.
Everything is on the 'energy crisis' today. The end of this article; I just happened to catch Obama's latest attack ad against McCain and on CNN:

He wants to give a $1,000.00 per family energy rebate? Hes going to tax the big oil companies to get this money? (You dont think they wont raise prices to off-set their loss so were still paying for it??) And exactly just how much will $1,000.00 help each family? I mean, this would be a one time rebate- right?
I agree that we all need to keep our tires properly inflated and our cars inspected in order to help with gas mileage but I honestly dont believe thatll put much of a dent into this countrys gas usage. (Ive seen expert articles on both sides of this; yes, inflating tires will make a huge difference; no, inflating tires will not make a difference.)
Itd be nice if we could all drive hybrids. Theres a great chance that my next car will be a Toyota Prius but people cant afford to just go and buy new hybrid cars to help save on gas.
Obamas ok to use some of our reserves right now for a temporary fix on gas costs but whats the long-term plan? What will happen after the temporary ends? Wed be back to where we are now - wouldn't we?

Eh I think that's a bunch of bunk. I don't think that the rift is healing. There are certainly some who are voting for Obama either because they are okay with him or because they feel he's the lesser evil. But there is a much bigger percentage that are still furious. (myself included) All you have to do is look at P.U.M.A. and follow the links to some of the different communities. There is a huge amount of anger out there. And frankly I think don't think reached it's peak. I think that we'll see a lot more anger after the convention.
