True - but it appears that now a bunch of them are experiencing "group think." There's comfort in numbers - and right now a trickle are changing from Hillary to Obama - pretty soon it will be enough of a deluge to turn the tide....

Can you tell its been POURING here all day? ;)

I am sure this will somehow get me labeled as a racist. Again. But... I have to wonder how many of the SDs are afraid to not endorse Obama because of the whole "Dems will lose the black vote if Obama is not the nom" issue? Or even more - even afraid of being labeled as racist if they don't endorse him?

(Because of course the ONLY reason to not like Obama would just have to be his skin color.. )

They look more like the group of kids in class who all got an invitation to a birthday party that not everyone was invited to. Wonder what everyone is being promised? It must be something big. It's pathetic to watch and it's going to be a long, boring, sad, joyless six months or so until the election. Time to turn off the news and plant the garden! Oh, and shed a tear for women everywhere. The blatant sexism and cruelty shown towards women in this campaign has been unbelievable.

Please understand I NEVER thought I would feel like this. I've been a proud Republican forever and without Hillary I will vote McCain. The blatant sexism and cruelty shown towards women in this campaign has been unbelievable.

I am a life long dem and I cannot imagine voting for McCain. However I agree with you about everything else.

The hilarious part is that those of us who don't want to vote for Obama are "toxic" But the OS who claim they won't vote for Hillary are doing it because they've got "principles" The level of hypocrisy is ridiculous.

That's why I don't think things are ever going to be repaired between the groups. There are some OS who feel like they don't need the Hillary supporters. They have no interest in healing the divide. Particularly since they see themselves as complete victims and that it's 100% Hillary supporters causing all the problems.

It WILL NEVER HAPPEN!:sad2:

So what happens when Hillary wins WV and Kentucky REALLY BIG?

Make Obama go :scared: ! Thats all. It dont look good for him since he is the presumptive nominee...and people STILL aint voting for him!
Sorta if on the GOP side Huckabee gets more primary votes than McCain.

I dont think Obama could get any more votes in the GE, than he had gotten in the Primaries. Possible 1/2 the Hillary democrats wont vote for him, No such thing as Just show up & vote in the Presidential Election (like we seen in the Primaries), there wont be any GOP mischeif makers.
And quite possibly by November, Obama wont be the "in" thing with college students. NO rebuplican will vote for the MOST LIBERAL democrat.

I can't see how he can win the GE.:confused3

Some have ACTUALLY stated that!!!! Even Jack Cafferty who is a huge Obama lover said, there would be riots in the streets if the SD's dont go to Obama.

So much for Obama not wanting racism in this primary. I called this wayyyyyyyyyyyyy back in December that indeed he will bring racism to the forefront of this election.

Obama is one of those people who whatever he says, does the complete opposite! Very sneaky man!

I was a Dean delegate for the '04 election (yes - really!) - I remember how excited and impressed we were with the youth turnout during the primaries/caucuses. But - they had much less than stellar turnout come actual election day. So forgive me if I think we should all be a little leery of the youth vote.

BTW did anybody catch Obama today saying that he been to ALL 57 STATES during this primary!!!!!!!!!!

Mistake? Or easily detected Lie?

The youth vote HAS NEVER turned out for a Presidential election...even back in the McGovern days. And they were getting drafted back then!:scared1:

I am pretty sure we can come up with irrefutable evidence that he is incorrect! :rotfl2: :lmao:

Boy Do I have a lot I want to say, but I will keep most of it to myself.

I will agree that the SDs almost really have no choice as to voting Obama as the nom. They will be riots if they don't and yes, they would be labeled as racist because this race has now turned into about race.

I still don't how on Earth Obama would win enough votes to win the general. I hear the theory that people will come out for Obama that never voted before, but I feel just the same amount of people who normally vote will stay home on election day so it evens out in my opinion.

I predict that Obama will get his nom and lose the general to McCain.

Then we will have to deal with McCain for 4 years. I have already have it in my mind that the next 4 years won't be any better then these last 4 years!

It's a shame --- this SHOULD have been the Dems year, Bush even wrapped it in a nice little package for us.

I'm done --- I will sit back and watch Obama's downfall in the general

Here is some evidence that Obama just wants to BE President for his own ego!

Why Obama Is 'Skipping' West Virginia--and Getting Away with It

The next state on the Democratic primary schedule is, of course, West Virginia, which has Tuesday all to its amoeba-shaped self. Why is it, then, that Barack Obama has yet to book a single stop in, say, Shepherdstown, Charleston, Philippi, Sutton, Fayetteville, Fairlea or Bluefield--all of which have already hosted either Bill or Hillary Clinton?

Because he has no chance of winning--and no one seems to care.

Appearing on ABC's Nightline back in November 2007, Obama slipped into Bob Dole mode for this slightly overconfident assessment of his electoral chances: "Every place is Barack Obama country once Barack Obama's been there." (that sounds Elitist to me):snooty:

In the latest polls, she now leads Obama by a whopping 40 to 43 points; he doesn't even break 24 percent.

Initially it seems as though people wanted to vote Obama because it was trendy and a way to let the Clintons know they would have to work hard for it. By the time people realized he was actually going to win, it was too late to reverse things. McCain will be a good choice though, he has his own ideas and until Obama came along, the liberal media loved him too.

:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: What I don't understand is why, oh why, the media hasn't been ALL over that statement. If either of the Clintons had made that statement he would have said that they were "out of touch" and didn't want Hope!

He's skipping it because when Clinton wins, Obama can dismiss it, since he never campaigned there. The spin will be that she was basically running unhindered or that WV is just too racist.

I'm wondering is she does trounce him in WV what will that do to the numbers in the popular vote?

Thanks for the LA Times article punkin.

Speaking of West Virginia:

Ask wvrey what type of state West Virginia is? There is absolutely no way a Democrat would win this state in the General Election. No way. Bush both WV and Kentucky without breaking a sweat.

Wvrey would tell you that the confederate flag is more important than the flag pin. So why would Obama waste money on it in the primary. Only 28 delegates (proportional) at stake.

In the 2000 election, WV went 52% for Bush and 46% for Gore. That is what you call a swing state. It could go for either the dems or repubs in November. Hillary has a good chance of winning it if she's the nom. Obama will lose, just like he will lose Florida and Ohio.

BTW, about WVrevy's opinions, isn't he the one who will campaign for McCain if Hillary gets the nom? :rolleyes1

ETA: WV went democratic in 1996 and 1992.

And currently has two Dem senators.
