He's skipping it because when Clinton wins, Obama can dismiss it, since he never campaigned there. The spin will be that she was basically running unhindered or that WV is just too racist.

I'm wondering is she does trounce him in WV what will that do to the numbers in the popular vote?

Thanks for the LA Times article punkin.

It probably isn't denting the popular vote, which is why he can afford not to campaign there.

He's probably busy campaigning with super delegates - and discussing the "bribes" they want.

This is not an Obama attack - Hillary was trying to pay them off too - but she had less money to do it........

Obama has now bypassed Hillary in SD's. I think that it's safe to say that Hillary's campaign is over. I will of course respect however she wants to handle this which I hope will be carefully. There's a ton of angry Hillary supporters out there and I think how she proceeds could really have an effect on what many of them decide in the coming months.

Keep in mind if any of the OS act crass and try to rub our faces in this that MOST won't and actually some of us might have done the same if the situation was reversed. I can't blame them for celebrating but I hope that they keep the nastiness elsewhere as they have lately.

I still support Hillary in her future endeavors. Don't count the old girl out yet! I still think that she can make a lot of difference.

Which is why when the whole thing is over we Democrats have to raise hell about the process and get it changed.

Personally, I would like to see Hillary on the Supreme Court.

Personally, I would like to see Hillary on the Supreme Court.
I think that she could rise to a high place in Congress too and ironically end up with even more power than if she was President. Who knows, maybe she liked living in the White House and wanted to move back in for a while. ;)

I don't think Obama will will win against McCain.
I'm not sure if I can vote for Obama. I don't know if I will even vote now...

Personally, I'll have to give myself some time before I can jump on the Obama bandwagon and he was always my 3rd favorite. A lot will depend on who his running mate is too.

They'll be no jumping for me! LOL

I'll be voting for him - but I am NOT happy about it! ;)

Maybe that will change as November is closer?

What are her qualifications for that?

I think an experienced judge needs to be on the Supreme Court (just my two cents......)

Absolutely!! - but - if Obama wins the presidency - it won't be until another eight years where this needs to be "fixed" and who's going to remember all the infighting?

- if he doesn't win? then maybe we'll see a change in four......

I agree with you. :thumbsup2 She could be Senate Majority Leader especially because she is a fighter and Harry Reid, current SML, is weak. But she has to exit quickly and gracefully. She needs to start attacking McCain who is the enemy. In order to get the votes and backing of a majority of the other senators, she has to fulfill the above pronto.

I also read that she wants Obama to help her pay off her massive debt ( $25 million). It would help is she exits quickly and gracefully.

Same here.
I know if the election were tomorrow I would not be voting for him. I honestly can't say where I will be in November. A lot will depend on who his running mate is. After thinking about it, I do NOT want Hillary as his running mate. She deserves better than second fiddle.

The thing is if Obama in nom, I personally know of 8 people (IRL) who will be sitting the election out or go voting for McCain.

Obama has disappointed me a lot. In the beginning I used to like him and thought he would make a fairly good president. Unfortunetly the more I heard of him, from him and about him, I grew more and more leary of him as a president. Sorry I just hear so much Fluff when he talks! I want more then fluff from a President.
I honestly don't know if I will be able to go against what is in my gut and vote for someone I do not trust as a leader.

I still feel the Dems have already lost this election and McCain will be our next President. Obama just doesn't have the general population support he needs to win it.

"There's a lot of bigotry in the country, not just West Virginia," See said.

Great another..."ONLY Bigots wont vote for Obama" mentality!!!!:sad2:

:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: What I don't understand is why, oh why, the media hasn't been ALL over that statement. If either of the Clintons had made that statement he would have said that they were "out of touch" and didn't want Hope!

Cause Obama is the Medias darling! He can do NO wrong!

He could then Kiss WV goodbye in Nov.

Ask wvrey what type of state West Virginia is? There is absolutely no way a Democrat would win this state in the General Election. No way. Bush both WV and Kentucky without breaking a sweat.

Wvrey would tell you that the confederate flag is more important than the flag pin. So why would Obama waste money on it in the primary. Only 28 delegates (proportional) at stake.

However most all the other obama 'win" states are sure too go RED in November.

Which is why when the whole thing is over we Democrats have to raise hell about the process and get it changed.

Cant help ya there....Went Independant after PA primary. Due to the FL & MI debacle.

I think that she could rise to a high place in Congress too and ironically end up with even more power than if she was President. Who knows, maybe she liked living in the White House and wanted to move back in for a while. ;)

She SHOULD be in the WH!:thumbsup2

He was my 10th choice. Honestly back in Nov I didnt even think he should be running for Dog Catcher.
As Of today, I will probably not be voting at all. However it is a loooooooooong time between now & Nov.:confused3 :confused3
I held my nose & voted for Kerry....cant do it anymore.

The Dem candidates are more like GOP (in type) , and vice versa lately!

I can't vote for Obama and I can't vote for McCain. :confused3 I will vote and write in Hillary. She was my choice and still is.

Ok...I CAN DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

That's an interesting idea, but I think she'd do more good as Senate Majority Leader. Let her put some of the "fight" she's famous for to work for the party - and her - agenda. But she needs to be careful about how she's running this race because if she angers too many of the party elite, she'll lose any support for the position.

I can't vote for Obama and I can't vote for McCain. :confused3 I will vote and write in Hillary. She was my choice and still is.

Why not vote for Mickey Mouse? That'd do about as much good. 'Cause hey...the Supreme Court isn't important, and neither are the body bags coming back from Iraq, right?

BTW...I'm fairly certain I know this state better than the LA Times. :lmao: This may be a "Democratic" state in terms of registration, but that is only because of the heavy union presence. The simple fact is that this is an economically blue state - barely - but a state that seems to vote more on social issues than economic, which often leads it to vote red in general elections.

In my opinion, Barack should ignore this state and spend his money somewhere that it could actually make a difference. But here's a little information for those complaining about that fact: This state will not vote for either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama in November, not because it doesn't agree with their policies, but because they will simply not vote for a black man or a woman. But yeah...I'm sure you guys know more about the state I've spent nearly my entire life in than I do.

BTW...Barack has a rally in Charleston on Monday. Watch the Obama thread for pictures. I'll be sure to let him know you guys say hi. :rotfl2:

I will take your suggestion under advisement because IMO Mickey Mouse would make a better president than Obama.

I was thinking of doing that myself. Hillary IS the BEST person for the job as President.

I don't know if I am even going to vote this election. I was going to even if Obama was nom because we have a hot senate seat up for grabs. I can not stand our current Senator (Rep) but now the Dem that will most likely be running against him has been having some issues come up. Now I don't think he will beat Norm Coleman and we will be stuck with Norm again! And I really don't know if I can vote for Franken now! Ugh

I tell you Michelle Obama feels this is the first time she is proud to be an American --- well this is the first time I am very disappointed in the Democratic party!

Being in Independent is looking better and better and I NEVER felt that way before :( :sad2:

:lmao: :thumbsup2

Hey now that would be cool having Mickey Mouse as a President. Instead of a tax rebate he could give us all a free annual pass to WDW

However most all the other obama 'win" states are sure too go RED in November.

:

I truly believe this and this is why I have a hard time believing Obama could really win in the general.
No way will those deep southern states go for Obama in November, even with the black vote.

Florida to go to Obama?? :lmao: Yeah, right
