Nasty gram who you'd like. I guess I have been following the entire birth certificate issue a little more closely. I read the article as a follow up to the idea that Obama was actually NOT born in the USA (the speculation is that it may be Canada) and that even though he has a naturally born parent which SHOULD convey citizenship - because she was so young at the time - he would not fall under that clause either.

Now - we can debate the whole where was he born thing, for sure. I tend to think that there will be nothing to it, but I do have to wonder why he doesn't just produce his ACTUAL birth certificate and get it over with? The one he has on his website has no registrar signature. I have never seen one without. I understand blacking out certain information - but there is no indication that a registrar's sig was ever there. And if there was at some point - I do not understand the need of photshopping that out when all they did was black out the cert#?

It just seems off/not quite right.

You are an OS that seems very involved in the campaign - any word on when Obama is gonna go back and make good on his promises to his family's village in Africa?
12 days later, enjoy (you might wanna right click, and save target as, since the files are large jpgs that could crash a browser)

Obama and the DNC sued in Philadelphia Federal Court (constitutionally ineligible for the presidency

Highlights

A prominent Philadelphia attorney and Hillary Clinton supporter (surprise - surprise) filed suit this afternoon in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Illinois Sen. Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee. The action seeks an injunction preventing the senator from continuing his candidacy and a court order enjoining the DNC from nominating him next week, all on grounds that Sen. Obama is constitutionally ineligible to run for and hold the office of President of the United States.

Berg cited a number of unanswered questions regarding the Illinois senator's background, and in today's lawsuit maintained that Sen. Obama is not a naturalized U.S. citizen or that, if he ever was, he lost his citizenship when he was adopted in Indonesia. Berg also cites what he calls "dual loyalties" due to his citizenship and ties with Kenya and Indonesia.

Even if Sen. Obama can prove his U.S. citizenship, Berg stated, citing the senator's use of a birth certificate from the state of Hawaii verified as a forgery by three independent document forensic experts, the issue of "multi-citizenship with responsibilities owed to and allegiance to other countries" remains on the table.

In the lawsuit, Berg states that Sen. Obama was born in Kenya, and not in Hawaii as the senator maintains. Before giving birth, according to the lawsuit, Obama's mother traveled to Kenya with his father but was prevented from flying back to Hawaii because of the late stage of her pregnancy, "apparently a normal restriction to avoid births during a flight." As Sen. Obama's own paternal grandmother, half-brother and half-sister have also claimed, Berg maintains that Stanley Ann Dunham--Obama's mother--gave birth to little Barack in Kenya and subsequently flew to Hawaii to register the birth.

Berg cites inconsistent accounts of Sen. Obama's birth, including reports that he was born at two separate hospitals--Kapiolani Hospital and Queens Hospital--in Honolulu, as well a profound lack of birthing records for Stanley Ann Dunham, though simple "registry of birth" records for Barack Obama are available in a Hawaiian public records office.

Should Sen. Obama truly have been born in Kenya, Berg writes, the laws on the books at the time of his birth hold that U.S. citizenship may only pass to a child born overseas to a U.S. citizen parent and non-citizen parent if the former was at least 19 years of age. Sen. Obama's mother was only 18 at the time. Therefore, because U.S. citizenship could not legally be passed on to him, Obama could not be registered as a "natural born" citizen and would therefore be ineligible to seek the presidency pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution.

Cool. And what was so difficult about this that it couldn't have been done in the first place?

Any word on when Obama is going to keep his promise to his family's village in Africa?

It is an extraordinary sight to walk into a basic two-room house under a mango tree in rural east Africa and discover what is essentially a shrine to Barack Obama.

The small brick house with no running water, a tin roof and roving chickens, goats and cows is owned by Sarah Obama, Barack's 86-year-old step-grandmother. Inside, the walls are decorated with a 2008 Obama election sticker, an old "Barack Obama for Senate" poster on which he has written "Mama Sarah Habai [how are you?]", a 2005 calendar that says "The Kenyan Wonder Boy in the US", and more than a dozen family photos.

How sad is this?

The market is where we head next to speak to villagers about their hopes for an Obama victory in November and what it might do for their village. Mary Manasse, 40, who runs the Mama Siste Mini Shop selling staples such as bread and cow's milk (packaged in old Coke bottles) says she has a photograph of Obama shaking hands with her on his 2006 visit.

"Back then I was looking after 40 orphans at the orphan centre," she recalls. "We faced a desperate shortage of money and Obama told us that he especially liked special, dedicated projects like ours and wanted to help. We thought he would give funds to help our project but we got nothing. A few months later we were forced to shut down the orphan centre because of lack of funds. Just a million Kenyan shillings [£6,000] would have kept us going another year. I feel disappointed that he did not come through."

Yeah - I am hung up on this. I will remain hung up on this because my question has yet to even be addressed. If he was unable to bring about any "hope" or "change" on this relatively small scale for people that he has a familial tie to - how on earth does anyone think he can manage a huge and complex country like the USA?

Or is this story a lie - a right wing hatchet job? Or maybe Obama really meant something else when he said he wanted to help? Well?

Wow I cant get over how many media are saying that Obama's best bet is Hillary at this point. How do you all feel about Biden on the ticket....will that make you for sure vote for Obama? At this point I am 40% Obama 60% McCain. If McCain was about 10 years younger that % would be higher. Interested to see who his VP will be....I'm thinking Romney

So If Hillary is on the ticket will you than turn to Obama? It would change my % to Obama's favor.

Obama has often said, most recently on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on July 27, that Clinton “would be on anybody’s short list.”

But apparently not his.

“She was never vetted,” a Democratic official reported. “She was not asked for a single piece of paper. She and Senator Obama have never had a single conversation about it. How would he know if she’d take it?”

The official also said Clinton never met with Obama’s vetting team of Eric Holder and Caroline Kennedy.

And the official said she was never asked for medical records or for any financial 2008 information about her or former President Bill Clinton. The last information the couple has disclosed about taxes and financial holdings was for 2007.

I will not be voting for him no matter what his VP pick. I do hope that it is NOT Hillary because she will be used as the scapegoat for every little thing so that "The One" can never be at fault for anything.

They said that she was vetted on CNN just about 10 minutes ago :confused3they named all the ones that were vetted and she was on the list...maybe they are wrong?

I feels that she will be blamed also..... that they will go down as the worst 2 ever even worse that Bush/Chaney...well maybe not that bad :lmao:but close. But if Obama is going to get in than who better than Hillary to keep an eye on things. He needs someone like her to teach him.

By the way I forgot to mention that we had OS walking around our neighborhood yesterday and when DH told him that we would never vote for Obama and that we were Hillary supporters he was shocked...his remark was " Wow you dont plan on voting for Obama" He said that he thought everyone was voting for Obama :confused3 He told him that we are HS who are voting for McCain....he said that was the first that he has heard that...

Well where the heck has he been :lmao:DH said that I was upstairs on the computer talking with lots of people that are not Obama fans....I wish I was down there to ask him what was his fav issues of Obama and to try to convince me to vote for him....would have loved to see what he came back with. There were about 20 kids ages 18-23 walking around to homes from the collage.

okay CNN is fickled...they just showed a list and pictures of 5 or 6 VP picks for Obama....they top ones. Hillary was no where to be found. I wonder how many HS have been waiting to see who his VP pick is and if it is not Hillary they will get pissed and decide for sure to vote for McCain.

I cant believe how little experience that Obama has....I cant believe how that means so little to so many. And he got where he is by using Chicago dirty politics...I mean I knew he lacked experience but until I watched the CNN special on him and McCain I did not realize how much.

I don't think we'll really ever know the truth unless there's something like pics of her sitting across a table with the vetting team.

Sometimes the candidates put out lists with a bunch of names on them and include names of people they have no intention of asking for anything just to throw off the media and work the public.

I'm hearing rumors of Chet Edwards.

I just read that....if Pelosi wants him that scares me. CNN just showed Clinton again as one of Obama's 3 top picks. Yet FOX is saying politico is saying she was not vetted :lmao:idiots:rotfl:
