I have not yet decided if I can, in good conscience, vote for Obama. It will be a difficult choice in November for me.

Well, my conscience will be clear to vote for who ever that Dem candidate is! If you are at all concerned about the direction this country is going, how could you even consider McCain? The differences between Hillary and Obama pale in comparison to the differences between Hillary and McCain! That choice will be a no brainer for me!

I still contend - the only way to resolve this is to have both of them on the ticket........

So - I read - that McCain might be considering Condi. Ugh.

Lets be fair though. Both candidates (and in fact Hillary probably more so) were well aware of the nomination process and its inner workings. If Obama out campains Hilary within the rules of the established format it is really not fair to make that statement.

I do agree that a dual ticket would be great.....but I doubt it very much.

It's a ways off before we need to pull the lever for anyone. So in that time we could all change our minds one way or another on both sides. The only way I will at this point not vote for Obama is if something comes out about him that is terrible.

I have found that it is more the media and the OS that have me against him more than it should be. Yes he has his lies and twists and pulls and neg adds that he says he will not do but Hillary has hers also. So if it comes down to honesty I rope them together in a political package.

Just remember to keep focused on that they are both politicians and it all fall's into place easier. Even if he says he is saying that he will not run things as old politicians do that is his strategy. And it is working.

You know, I was turning totally against Obama and I had to take a step back and figure out why. In my case, it was more due to anger with some of his supporters than anything else. That isn't fair to Obama or the party and I've made the decision to stay away from Obama threads and try to find good things in him. It has helped me.

It's true though that the Wright mess was a downer. Hopefully it's just one of those things that won't amount to anything.

Yes - but what this article is trying to point out is - Obama may well win the nomination but lose the general - having less electoral votes than Hillary.

This may be in the rules - but it will be these rules that could in fact allow McCain in.......

Just curious - what states that Kerry didn't win - could Obama pick up?

Hillary has a sincere shot at all the Kerry states - plus OH and FL. Win those - you're President.

Right - I had to stop reading some of the liberal blogs I used to frequent - dkos, Huffington Post, - as the supporters there - consider Hillary and her supporters - like Satan. They are so obnoxious and belittle anything Clinton and attack the rare Clinton supporters' blogs. In fact, I believe most Clinton supporters are gone, no longer represented at those sites......

Who can blame them? I had to leave the Liberal thread for a while because it got so out of hand so I can imagine what some of those other sites are like. I've been in a few places and I just back right out again.

I appreciate people being passionate about their candidate but I will not compromise my values for that. I just back away to true neutral ground and try to stay positive. Luckily not all Obama supporters are like that.

I agree wholeheartedly! I see it on both sides. It was interesting the way the Liberal thread was taken over by Obama supporters for a while though. I mostly see bickering from both sides elsewhere.

I saw it. I like that she doesn't seem to get ruffled. That woman knows how to keep her cool. When she bowled and did terrible, I had to laugh. She laughed too. I love that she has a sense of humor.

As far as the being overzealous is concerned...I'm sure you're right. No doubt there are Hillary supporters that make Obama supporters uncomfortable. I'm sorry for that. Hi, I've been away from this thread for awhile. Had to take a break from all the political thread. I was basically being called a racist because I don't care for Obama and won't vote for him.

I still do not care for Obama and honestly I still don't know if I could actually vote for him. I would have to think long and very, very hard if he does become the nom. I don't konw if I keep. Something about him seems so shady, I don't trust him. I don't trust many politics but Obama even more so.
But of course I don't want McCain in office --- so what would I do??
I have a feeling I would leave it blank and work on the getting a Dem Senator for our state.
The thing is my state has always gone in the Blue column for many years. I don't think me not voting for Obama will change things much for the Dems winning Minnesota in November

Missed a few days here!

So yesterday was the caucus. It was painful, extremely painful. Yet again the entire thing was very slanted towards Obama, from the chair on down. I don't even know where to start on the whole thing. We were told to arrive at 8:45am to check in. At 6:15pm we were still voting on alternate delegates. Which we were told we couldn't really do until the official vote came up for the delegates, those had to be counted by hand in the gym and certified then run up to us - after an hour they hadn't been brought up. We all voted for an alternate and left. At 6:30 I was finally out of there. It took 5 hours to just get started.

From what I've seen so far Hillary has lost delegates overall which is disappointing. I went in there not representing myself but other people from my precinct as well. If I had jumped ship it wasn't just me doing it was everyone I representing.

We had a state senator slip up and say the Governor was going to be going on a five ***** (think of a word that rhymes with city that starts with a t - slang term for what women have) tour to kick off her re-election bid, instead of a five city tour. The first time I met the senator was when he was with his wife at a totally different function and he hadn't run for senator yet - we were out our midwives which made the whole thing a little more amusing for me. There was also a recently naturalized Chinese woman who told everyone she was getting up to speak about the horrible conditions in China only to get up and scream about her love of Obama. We were called anti-semitic once towards the end of the day It was seriously nuts. I lost my voice from all the screaming in response.....

It sounds like everyone is giving up hope that Hillary will win. I am still hoping and praying that she will get the nomination. Does anybody still think she has a realistic chance?

NOT ME! I KNOW she is gonna be the candidate! Me thinks all the SD's are waiting to see just HOW big she wins in PA....THEN BOOM 100 or more SD's will give her the nod!

Otherwise why are they being sooooooo quiet!
