Not going to argue back and forth with you. I stand by my opinion.
If a coach really wants someone on their team or in their play trust me an exception will be made. Just like in real life.
High school coaches do not want to hear from parents. The P's dd already asked, and was given an answer. She can now make her decision based on her conversation with the coach.I think you should personally contact coach
I would not leave childbehind for this
Unless this sport will get her college scholarships??
I'm waiting for the opposite to appear in a thread. Someone's activity will have a participant who did not have to attend the tryout.
OP, not fair to pass the buck on responsibility here. If you daughter wants to participate, you need to adjust the schedule. Expecting that the coach should change for your schedule? Completely wrong.
It wasn't short notice, this was a team the daughter had played on before and most try-outs happen around the same time each year. The OP even said this in a later post.
Assuming it will be "around the same time"' as previous years (and getting it right) isn't at all the same as being TOLD, "it will be on this date". No excuse for any Summer tryout date not to be published before the end of the previous school year. Pure sloppiness on the coach's part.

We don't have our official school year calendar for 2015-2016 yet. Teacher's union still has to vote and approve.
Band is the same way. Rehearsals every week in the summer and band camp two weeks before fall. Summer went down from three months to two weeks.
