We just got back from a weeklong trip in which we stayed the last two nights at SSR. I just wanted to say how much fun High Rock Springs pool is. It is beautiful and the slide was a blast! And this is just coming from two people who spent most of their trip splashing around Stormalong Bay!

Hubby and I got to be the first to go down the slide yesterday morning before checkout. I will be posting all almost 300 of my photos in the next few days.

Can't wait until the next trip! :teeth:

Couldn't agree more! It was much more fun than I had anticipated. The slide, in particular, was much more fun than I had expected. I did it right after coming back from the body slides at Typhoon Lagoon and was still quite pleased. It's really lovely. I like the bar proximity as well.

I like the twists and turns of this slide -- even more so than the long straight portion of The Jib at SaB.

We really had a lot of fun at this pool!

The little slide is perfect for the younger set too. My DS4 loved being able to go down over and over again.

We had a great time and can't wait to stay there!

That's great to hear. I didn't even know they had a little slide for the younger set - my 3yo DD will be thrilled!

Picture's:tongue:  ,thats what keeps me going until my visit----12/05<<<see why I need picture's. Glad you ejoyed yourself and thank's for sharing. Susan

We had a hard time pulling ourselves off of the slide. Once you go down once you want to do it over and over again! We're two overgrown KIDS! LOL

It was pretty long and I definitely picked up speed! Because it is covered in rock, I found it to be not so intimidating. You dont realize how many turns and twists you will make until you are on it! LOL

I'd definitely agree with that! In fact, it took me some convincing to go down the Jib, but once I did it I LOVED it! :sunny:

Now I 'm starting to get excited about the OKW pool's new slide!

The slide was a blast. We all enjoyed it. My 5 year old was on it constantly and the 8 year old had a great time as well. My DW and I also spent quite a bit of time going down the slide. Make sure you lay back for your ride...you pick up some pretty good speed that way.

The pool in general was really nice. Water temp was perfect. There is also a little area on the side with fountains and a waterfall for the kids to play in.

The pool bar was convenient. Nothing better than a couple of beers while relaxing at the pool. And the kids loved the Mango Strawberry smoothies.

Only thing to watch out for are the darn birds. They snuck into my son's chip bag and stole all of his chips. We had a good laugh about it though.

Yes the Pool Temp. was Awesome!!

There is no lifeguard at the top of the slide, as you can see from the pictures. There is a traffic signal that tells you when to go. The slide is big enough around to wear the swim vests, I didnt see any vests, but I did see arm floaties going down the slide. There was also plenty of room to watch your kids go down the slide and to be in position in case they needed to be caught.

HRS is definitely one of the nicest pools at WDW. Lots of activities for the kids, but not so big that you could lose them.

One thing I did notice, was the lack of pool toy sales.
