Hi my name is Kenny and I am a Disneyholic.

I am not a "Dis-aholic"....I'm just a SOCIAL 'diser. I can stop any time I want to...I just don't want to right now. ;)

I am seriously afflicted. There is no end in sight. I really am starting to worry what my excuses will be after DD is grown. I love everything Disney. :mickeyjum

:rotfl: I like your way of putting it

Kenny, this is so good. I too should belong to this group. I eat sleep and dream Disney. I have been over 26 times, and yearn to go everyday. We will be there at Christmas time for over 21 days. My entire family is with me though. We all need to start earning our chips. I thought a good way to get my fix was to plan others vacations for them. Well, had a great time planning, got my fix while doing it. Then the torture came, they called me today to let me know how their meals were. I could hear the new show in front of the castle in the background. It brought tears to my eyes. Tears of jealousy. I wanted to be there so bad. I sunk into a bit of depression. I can not get there soon enough.

Disney is my heaven. When it is my time to go, Jesus will meet me in Fantasyland to take me on the rest of the way. As we all know Disney is truly Magical.

You can't be far from me then. I'm just at the foot of these beautiful mountains. Maybe we should fuel our addictions together. :rotfl:
Michelle,
I'm in Arden (South Asheville). I think we are going to have highs in the sixties, lows in the upper thirties this weekend. I agree with Jennifer 293, lots of fleece.
Wait, a minute, there's no Disney in Gatlinburg. Is that allowed in the program?

Hey you are close to me. I'm in Lenoir (at the foot of the mountain). There is no Disney and we aren't going to Dollywood so I think a weekend Disney shopping spree will work. Notice how I threw Disney in there. We have some things to buy for our trip so we are hitting the outlets while we are there. Not to mention they have a Disney outlet there. :moped:

A neighbor from Kentucky here. I'm not sure if I am a Disneyholic just yet... We (me and my DD4 and DS2) are going on our first trip to WDW in December. We went to Disneyland last summer and the kids asked everyday when we are going back, hence the WDW trip....I practically grew up in Disneyland having an aunt work there, but since my 2 childrens' first trip last summer- WOW, the excitement in their eyes! :Pinkbounc
Now everything here is who can find the hidden Mickey's...they are everywhere and we're not even at Disney yet. My DD4 can find hidden Mickey's everywhere!!!!
On a gross point...she even yelled out while using the bathroom the other night- I go running only to see her standing over the toliet with this excited look on her face- she pooped a hidden Mickey- sorry no pictures :rotfl2: :lmao:
So I guess she's the Disneyholic? :rotfl:

That is so cute; but, gross

Hi, my name is Robby and I'm a disney-holic. It didn't use to be this bad. We went twice when I was growing up, by the time I was 16. Not really a "holic" status yet. And then it happened. My older brother went to work for Disney right out of college and everything we did, thought, talked became Disney. He met his wife at Disney because she worked for him. He had her relocated and then they had a Disney wedding. My DW and I went once before we were married in 2002. Then we went on our Disneymoon in 2004. And now we're looking at going back in Feb. '07 and on the Disney Cruise Dec. '07. We keep thinking, trying to plan a way to squeeze another Disney vacation in there. My DW and I are going to try to get pregnant on the Disney Cruise just so we can hold my kid up and say "it all started with a mouse." I need help. And I think it IS a central U.S. thing. I'm right outside of Memphis, TN. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :yay: :grouphug:

Hey Kenny! I'm a South Alabamian here but I used to live in Maryville TN! We are all just magical people that like to have a lot of fun in the most magical place on earth!!
My name is Pam and I am truly a DISNEY-HOLIC!!!!

I too am a "holic"....some claim that I have "issues". Well guess who everyone one comes to for WDW info ME. So you see I look at it being the "subject matter expert" and I often do "research"!!!!! We will be "home" @ the BCV in Jan.

My DW and I are both Disneyholics and proud to be. My DW's first 2 trips there was with her family back in '71 and '73. My first trip there was on our Disneymoon in '92. We couldn't agree on where to go between the mountains and beach. DW said "The only way you're getting me to Florida is WDW." So we went. Except for a 7 year gap due to finances, we have averaged going every 2 years. Our Disneyholism is so bad we took the plunge and bought into DVC in January. Now we are taking the SILs, BILs, DNephs, and DNeice to WDW in April. :grouphug: We were lucky and got a Boardwalk view at our Disney
"home" as our sig says. Can't wait !!!!!!! :cool1: :surfweb: :cloud9:

I am so with you. My husband talks about going to these fancy places for our 15th anniversary in June (07) but all I say is I want to go back to Disney instead. Can we just go out for a special dinner there without children, I ask? We will have a teenager and 11 year old then. He just doesn't get it!!! I want DISNEY again, not Jamaica, Key West, Sanibel Island, or anywhere else....just DISNEY!! I am truly addicted!!! HELP! :goodvibes

Add me...and my entire family...to the holic list....

In fact, just TODAY my DS (7) was telling me about his day. Apparently, there was a big assembly in the gym because the teachers all had a special announcement for the school. Anyway, as he is telling me this story he sayd "And then all of the cast members went up to the front and said..." I had to interrupt him and say, "ummm...don't you mean all of the TEACHERS???" We both died laughing!

And here in the Northeast, on the toll highways we have something called EZPASS...if you are an EZPASS holder, you can drive right through the toll booth without stopping. And of course, without even thinking about it, I always tell my DH..."get over so we are in the FASTPASS lane..."

And yes, we also are DVC members...gotta love it! Let's us go so much more often. We went for 8 days in May, and in 3 (count 'em 3!) days, just DH and I are going for a quick adults-only trip to F&W. BUT we feel so guilty for going to WDW and not taking the kids that we are going to go again in January. Yup....we've got it bad... :rotfl2:

I understand....my husband offered to take me to Hawaii for our 10th anniversary. He had the sky miles so we could go for free.

I decided to use the miles to fly his parents here so they could stay with our 2 young children. We went to WDW and Universal for a week. We could do all of the rollercoaster that our kids were too young to enjoy with no baby swaps. It was a different and fun experience to go with out the kids. I didn't feel guilty at all. I had taken them before that and have taken them many times since.

Everyone thinks I'm crazy because I chose the parks over Hawaii! I'm ok with that.

Please add our family to the list of Disneyholics...

WE LOVE DISNEY!! We're constantly humming the COP tune, the Splash mountain song, and every other catchy tune that sticks in your head after a WDW vacation! We eat our dinner on Mickey Mouse plates, we have a Disney movie night every week and eat popcorn out of our MM popcorn tins. We began dreaming/planning our next Disney vacation on the plane ride home from the last (2 weeks ago). No other vacation destination could possibly make us as happy WDW - it's been a part of some of our favorite family memories, and we have many more planned! Our parents & siblings get tired of hearing so much about Disney, they think we should move there. We agree!!

We'll never stop loving Disney - here's to many, many more happy Disney vacations (and to no cure for Disneyitis)!

I got the illness too
Co worker said I will never finish grad sch if I keep think and planning and planning and think about my May 07 trip

I've got it too. My wife walks past me and just shakes her head when she see's I'm still on the DIS boards or re-reading the UG, again and again. And the constant reminders the our DS7 and I give her on how much time we have until we leave makes her think of trying to find a "12 step" program for me. But, I'm a happy camper and don't really care that I am addicted. I don't want or need help, just give me a Mickey Bar and a Fastpass and everythings good!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi, I'm also a disneyholic. Well, I started loving disney about 10 years ago. I've been planning a big trip since then, but never actually got to go (couldn't afford it one year, something came up the next....) so finally, this year, we made a promise that we would go. I just got my trip paid off, so we are set for Dec. 8-16th. I even got mvmcp and cirque tickets too! This will be my first time, but I feel like I know Disney World inside out. I've read almost every guidebook available and every morning, after waking up and using the bathroom, the very first thing I do is go online to see if anything is new at Disney. I have a 3 ring binder devoted to my upcoming trip with sections. Every single day, I go to my DH and say " ?? days left until our trip" As of today, I got 42 days to go. He's kind of tired of hearing me always talk about disney and our first trip. It's gotten so bad that when my DH told me we could only do 8 days instead of 9 because of his job, I was about to cry so he pulled some strings, and we can still do 9 days!

My DW and I have been addicts for several years (started prior to having DD 8 and DD 5). One great thing we have done to help get rid of the Disney withdrawal symtoms was to buy into DVC. We now plan several trips a year and in between trips we get news letters and other literature from DVC. When you have the desire to go as often as we do but don't have the wallet to act on those impulses, DVC is the answer. Worth looking into if you intend on furthering your addition.

Disney addict and extreemly proud of it! :cool1:

Take it to the next level, you will never regret it. We don't! :thumbsup2
