HHN questions

The park officially closes and has a close time as such so I would think a 6:30 start would have 6 as the close time. Scare Actors do not start until the event starts. Everyone will be hard removed from the park if they do not have a HHN ticket. I believe they even start shutting ride lines down to make sure everyone is out before the event starts. Especially if that ride's queue is used for a house that night.

Studios closes at 5pm on days they have HHN.

The park closes at 5:00

It can take one hour for security to clear the park and allow it to reopen at 6.:30

Holding areas are released sometime around 6 and guests in the park can line up for houses that open prior to 6.:30

Thanks for the clarification guys. I knew the hours were posted and 5 does seem like much better timing then 6.

1. Can we buy the add on ticket the day of (if not sold out)? Is it more expensive than buying in advance?
2. Any idea on the likelihood of selling out on Wednesday, October 26? It's midweek, but it is close to Halloween.
3. Other than the scary aspect- are there any other reasons not to bring an 8 year old?
4. I read somewhere that you get hot from running away from the scare actors. Is running a must? I have a lung disease and running and I are not friends, as I get short of breath very easily.
5. When do you have to be in the holding area? Which one would you recommend, keeping in mind we will probably only spend 1-2 hours in the houses/scare areas?

I think all the answers are covered, but wanted to mention that we never once ran. Also, for an 8 year old, some of the shows are raunchy. They use some vulgar language with jokes that are sexual in nature. If you stay away from the shows, I wouldn't say there's anything other than the scare factor.

As for the holding area, we waited in the Simpsons area which was pretty popular and crowded. We got there around 4:45 and there was no seating anywhere. There was also quite a wait for drinks - during the hour we were there, most of that was spent in line for one beer. It worked out well, though, because once the holding areas were let out, we were close to the Walking Dead and Purge houses and got both of those done in the standby line so we still had our EP entitlements to use later. I would decide which holding area to go to based on which houses they are near, and are most important to you.

We will be there on Thursday, 10/20. Any idea how the lines to the houses will be? I'm trying to figure out if we should get the express pass. It will be 99.99/person that night.

We were there about a week later on a Wednesday night and had EP. We were glad we had it and thought it was worth the investment. Even if the lines are relatively short, some of the lines were in the direct sun and we even got warm in the EP line which was consistently moving.

Are the houses visible during the day or are they blocked off? I know they are closed but am curious how they do them.

Most are not in the open where park goers will be

Some are located in the sound stages and in places only employees have access to

The streets will have large props that will be co seed in the day find some large props will be visible but nothing scary
