HHN add-on tix not allowed if tix bought through UCT?

I was under the impression from previous years that you could call to purchase HHN add-on tickets if you bought your day tickets through Undercover Tourist. I just got off the phone with Universal who said you cannot buy the add-on ticket if the day tickets were purchased from a third party. Is this accurate and/or a new policy? Anyone know if UCT sells discounted HHN tix?

not new, always has been the policy.

i'm sure some peeps might have slipped thru the rules at times but if you buy from UO online store, never an issue.


one year, many back, i bought tickets from the online store months prior to hhn info release.
i had my confirmation number and was allowed to get the hhn tix add on.
did this by calling as it won't work by booking online site.

i might be wrong but thought only UO gives out the discount on the add on tix.


i know i suggested to someone recently to call and ask if 3rd party UO day tickets can be used for the add on.
they had a question about that and i know it wasn't available in the past but told the poster they could try to see if policy is flexible for that now.

if you already bought your day tickets, you could save them for another trip and buy the park and hhn add on tixs for the upcoming trip.

Thanks for the info! We haven't gotten our day tickets yet, but always buy them from Undercover Tourist (UCT) and take advantage of the buy 2 days get 1 free promo. Financially, does it make sense to buy these and pay regular price for the HHN tix or does it make more sense to buy 3 day tix at regular price from Uni and get the HHN add-on tix? I'll have to do the math later! Thanks again!

i would need to pull up mousesaver site for the discount deals that come out on the 15th to see what the price (link) for UO tickets are going for and then also check the UO site and see if they have the special for the 2 +1

the add on hhn tix are usually a good price if you don't have the ap.
no one wants to pay full price for hhn tickets..

the 3rd day free tickets will be what will help you decide which is the cheapest way you should buy the tickets once you factor in the above stuff.
