My oldest (13) and also can't handle that previously mentioned scene in "Armageddon" with Liv Tyler talking to Bruce Willis.

How could I forget that?! That scene makes me sob no matter how many times I've seen it. It's terrible how easily I cry at these cheesy movies :rolleyes1

Two sad movies I refuse to watch:

Pay it Forward
City of Angels (with Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage)

and one I still love:

"With Honors" (Brendan Frasier and Joe Pesci)

"With Honors" rocks! That is one of DH's and my favorite movies!

My List (Also some of my favorites. I love a good cry)

Life Is Beautiful
Schindler's List
The English Patient
Ghost

I just had to add this one: :smooth:

Sam: Although I cried at the end of "the Dirty Dozen."
Greg: Who didn't?
Sam: Jim Brown was throwing these hand grenades down these airshafts. And Richard Jaeckel and Lee Marvin
[Begins to cry]
Sam: were sitting on top of this armored personnel carrier, dressed up like Nazis...
Greg: [Crying too] Stop, stop!
Sam: And Trini Lopez...
Greg: Yes, Trini Lopez!
Sam: He busted his neck while they were parachuting down behind the Nazi lines...
Greg: Stop.
Sam: And Richard Jaeckel - at the beginning he had on this shiny helmet...
Greg: [Crying harder] Please no more. Oh God! I loved that movie.

Love that part in "Sleepless in Seattle"! One of the first movies Victor Garber was in.

Oh also...

In Love Actually, when Emma Thompson discovers that her husband is having an affair, and quietly breaks down to Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" while her family is celebrating Christmas in the other room...:sad1: heartbreaking.

Step-Mom gets me big time. "Nobody loves you like I do." Good Night!

Hope Floats - great movie.

Fried Green Tomatos - "Miss Ruth was a lady. And I lady always knows when to leave."

Ladder 49 had me bawling!

Steel Magnolias "I'm FINE! I can walk to Texas and back but my daughter can't. She never could!"

A League of Their Own.

White Christmas - the part where the granddaughter sees her granfather in his military uniform and you know what is coming. Ooohhh, I'm getting tears typing this!

That scene is sooo sad. Emma Thompson deserved an award for the performance she gave!

How 'bout... A Little Princess? She was so strong and positive while her Dad was at War and she thought he had died. Rather than complaining, she did the best she could with what she had.

"Every girl is a Princess..... " I still believe that. princess:

Armageddon (Watched this with my dad when it was first released on video, I was home sick with the flu and he brought it over to watch with me, even he cried when Bruce Willis was staying on the planet and talking to his daughter...)

OMG I cry everytime at that part.

Beaches
Steel Magnolias
& lots of other I can't think of at the moment.

Love that scene! Emma Thompson is the greatest living actress, imo. I also loved her scene in Sense and Sensibility when she realizes the Hugh Grant character is NOT married like she previously thought. The emotions she invokes in that one scene are amazing. I found myself sobbing along with her. She's truly gifted.

I have tears coming down my face just remembering the scenes from some of the movies. DH gets the biggest kick because I will cry during a movie at the drop of a hat!

Beaches: after the mom died and her daughter was laying across the bed, Bette Midler came in and started changing her socks.

Armaggedon: that whole last scene

Radio: When his mama died

There is this movie I can't think of the name of it. Mary Tyler Moore and Dudley Moore starred in it. Mary played this girls mother who had a brain tumor and the girls dream was to dance with the NY ballet. She had this whole list of things she wanted to do before she died. If I continue, I'll start balling!

The movie was Six Weeks.
Don't tell any of the guys I remember this movie. ;)

I agree with so many that have been mentioned. Two that cameto my mind:

Little Women— I'm lost once Beth dies

The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle (Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers)—I bawl throught the end of it everytime
