Debi,

I sent you a pm with a couple of dates in November that might work for us. We're up for anything. The only shows we've seen recently are 'Mamma Mia', 'Movin Out' and 'The Producers'.

And, if it makes you feel any better I'm also a fan of the Chargers and Padres. We'll become regulars at the new ballpark in San Diego next year. I grew up with the Patriots and the Red Sox but my father is a Cardinals fan which made for some tension during the series last year.

I'm up early this morning to get an ADR for CRT at WDW on Sat 17 Dec.

Kathy

Love to but we're in Florida at Xmas, I think 3 transatlantic flights in one year is pushing our luck .....but next year sometime well we've always said we'd like to visit NYC!!!!

o.k. I don't know if I can pull this off, but I do have an idea. John wants to go to Pittsburgh to see the Steelers/Bengals on Dec. 4th. That is 3 days after his birthday (nice present?). I am thinking maybe if my in laws or mom would oblige, I could come to NY instead (I have been to a Steelers/Bengals game...once is enough!). However, I know that this date might not work for others, so just set a date and I will try to "swing" it.

Mama Mia! Wow! My friend just saw a couple of shows in NYC this summer, but I cannot remember which ones. I would be thankful just to come and see SOMETHING!! My last Broadway show in NYC was 1979....I'm due, right??

Wow, I love these responses (except for Lynn!! - of course we understand ) I'm good for either November or December weekends, I'll try to make it work. Right now, I'll go online and check Broadway show options.....of course, Debi probably has the best ideas?! :goodvibes

Ok, after a quick check here are some shows I haven't yet seen......

Rent
Hairspray
The Producers
Movin' Out
Wicked

Any other suggestions..............Debi????.....................

Wicked and the Producers were the ones my friend saw and LOVED!

I vote for 'Wicked'.

I was able to get an 8:30am ADR at CRT yesterday! I hope I'm as successful tomorrow morning with the Springsteen tickets. Who else is a fan?

Long day today. I'm having an EGD this afternoon. (an upper scope) Ted isn't doing it. Another dr in the dept is going to scope me. I wonder if he's as nervous as I am.

Bob just informed me that his ONLY weekend off during the holiday
season is Dec. 3 and 4....we are there with you guys.
The only recent shows we've seen are Hairspray (LOVED IT!),
Phantom, and, of course, Beauty and the BEast.
I don't care WHAT I see - I just wanna be with you guys again!

Let me check my schedule, football of course is always an issue, but for you guys I would give up a game. Kathy, you said those 2 weekends in November, how would the 1st weekend in December work. Usually I am in AC the 2nd weekend in Dec with Briana for cheerleading competition, but I don;t know anything about that yet either.

Any of those shows would be fine with us, we haven't seen any. Whatever the consensus is and we can get the best tix for, let's go for it.

My scrapbook is coming out great, I have about 14 pages done, it's so fun to re-live those memories over and over.

Kathy- Hope all goes well with your scope this afternoon. I am a fan of Springsteen too, have seen him twice, once in Rochester and once in Giant Stadium where it poured and we were soaked to the bone. But I am a huge fan of Elton John, whom I am going to see on the 21st, and can't wait. I saw him in Radio City last year, it was the best concert I ever went to.

Lynn and Keith - We will miss you if we get together in the city, but you will be with us in spirit. Maybe next fall you can come for a visit, or during the summer even, whatever works for you guys.

Hope all is well with everyone. Micco and I are heading upstate this afternoon to Keuka Lake (wine country) for some wine tasting with some friends. We are looking forward to a fun weekend. Maybe that's something we can all do one day, it is beautiful up there and there are many great wineries, as well as nice bed and breakfast places.

Debi

You have to go and see Wicked, we saw it in San Francisco on our last night in California, It was amazing I laughed, I cried, and I jiggled with the music. Even Keith who isn't as big a musical fan as I am said in the inteval good choice, you must go see it and I'll be with you in spirit, maybe another time If we weren't going to Florida and the Caribbean at Xmas we'd be there like a shot....

Debi
I need to see your pages get Mico to take some pics and upload them, anyone else got pics for us to see, come on share.... :)

We're in for the first weekend in December, that would be great for us!! Come on Lynn! You only live once!! :rotfl:

Wicked is a great suggestion, I've heard it's a great show and we want to see it!! :goodvibes

Of course, I'm open if a better idea comes along, I love Bway and in December, the Xmas decorations should be up! :teeth:

Have fun in wine country Deb! :earseek:

...are the west coast people going to reply!!!!!
I don't care WHAT we do, I don't care if we do NOTHING.....
just to get together again.
Lynn and Keith: it is ONLY a "pond" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Lisa, Liz, David?!!!!!! also, Wendy.....you are not THAT far from NYC!

How is it going, Kathy?

Sorry-we've been having internet problems, it only seems to be working sporatically...it's a real pain.

Anyway, as much as we'd love to come to NY for a weekend in Dec, it's not in our budget. We do plan to come out to NJ sometime in '06 to visit my family and Mark's sister. Not sure when. Still waiting to figure out what we're doing for the Waelde family reunion........NY in December is great...so have fun!

Lisa

Beautiful weather day here on the East Coast today! :sunny:

We had great weather here today too. We took the kids to Busch Gardens. They are both spending the night at my neighbor's house so Ted and I went to see "The Wedding Crashers". It was very funny. I got our Springsteen tickets today. We actually got 36 tickets so it's going to be a party. Anybody want to join us? The EGD went fine yesterday although I would have enjoyed more drugs. 6 more days of iodine restriction. We have a sitter next Friday and Saturday night to celebrate when this is over.

I hope you're enjoying your weekend Debi and Micco. Remember everything we learned at our wine tasting aboard the ship.

We had an incredible sunny day here in CA. It wasn't too hot which was nice. It was just perfect!

MR. Williams ended up in the emergency ward yesterday
remember he was limping on vacation?
well, when he went to see a specialist on Thursday, they suspected
torn ligaments and gave him a shot
well, yesterday, he twisted his knee and had so much pain we ended
up in hospital
they gave him VERY strong pain killers and sent him home again
he is on crutches until he can see a specialist (again) on Tuesday morning,
they suspect more torn ligaments.
of course, MR Williams MUST attend his auditions - he is worried about
them, IF he needs surgery.
I make a GREAT nurse!
Kathy, I'm so excited for you, the Springsteen tickets - for an "old" guy,
he is GREAT!
Lisa, thought about you AGAIN, with the news stating, this morning,
threats to LA!
Today, remembering 9/11.......so sad.

Hi guys!!! I am in NE Ohio at my in-laws. Saw the Bengals win in Cleveland today. Mark and I had a blast! Saturday we went up to Cleveland while the kids stayed with grandma, grandpa, and Aunt Kathy. We ended up at the Indians and Twins baseball game (surprised??) and way too many margaritas( :wave2: Debi!!!) . We met a nice couple who ended up being friends with a frat brother of Mark's (he hadn't seen him in about 15 years!!). So, we tailgated with them up on beautiful Lake Erie before the game. It was a fabulous day!! I cried when they hooked up a lady with her DH in Iraq and he addressed the crowd. Bengals got a great win!!!

We took the day off tomorrow to go home, as it is about 6-7 hour trip.

As far as the first weekend in Dec., that will be good for me if I can get all the basis covered. A lot depends on my mom keeping M & M that weekend. Mark seemed a little shocked that I wanted to go w/o him. You see we do all our traveling together. But, if he takes John to Pittsburgh to see the Bengals, I want to go farther east!!! He was so funny........"you mean you don't want to go to Pittsburgh with me????" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Keep me posted............Wicked sounds fabulous. My girlfriend saw it in NYC last month and RAVED!!!

Well, the weather this weekend proved that there is life after summer!! Sorry Lucy (or should I say Bob)about the leg injury, do you think it happened on the trip or since then?? :confused3

Sorry, Kathy , about your testing, I hope all goes well with your results. I guess you're not feeling the effects of Hurricane Ophelia in VA? I bet BG was beautiful this weekend!!

I hope Debi & Micco, made it back in one piece. I just cleaned out my kitchen and threw out some old champagne (over two years old and very cheap stuff.) Since the WT seminar onboard, I realized there was no point in saving it.....

I like "Wicked" as a show choice, I've heard it's really good!

We went down and had dinner with the college DDs, I was really missing them this weekend so I felt better visiting them. I guess frequent visits to the city will help (but it kind of defeats the purpose of sending them away?!)

Well, this week I have "Back to school night" with my students' parents and then a mini-trip to Vegas with Ken's brother and wife!! I feel alittle overwhelmed but I'm sure we'll have fun once we get there!! Wish me luck with the packing (and cleaning...remember how I always try to clean before a trip!) and the preparing the classroom for the parent visit. It should be a crazy week! :bitelip:
