Odds are Golden West is fine...just cuz I haven't heard of it doesn't mean anything. If they were prompt in their response then odds are they're a good outfit, I would think anyway.

Lucy-In honor of DL's 50th, DL made up 9 photo collages...basically they use a bunch of little photos to make one big photo, like of Mickey Mouse. As you stand back you can clearly see it's Mickey but as you walk closer you begin to notice the little photos. Have you ever seen anything like that? Well, DL did 9 of those using 100,000 photos submitted by people, but they had to be photos from DL...could be whatever as long as they were taken at DL. Anyway, it's pretty cool...can't wait to go see them!

That is so cool! In London for the Millenium celebration they did a photo mosaic and I submitted photos, when we visited the millenium dome we searched for them it gave us such a buzz and the artists who put them together are amazing. The Disney ones look great. Have you seen photos? I'm trying to recall which website I saw them on.

Liz
i'm told washing powder tablets would be good in a bag :teeth:

Lynn-That's what they're called...mosaics! I couldn't think of the name! Anyway, I haven't seen the website where they show the DL mosaics, but that's OK, gives me an excuse to get DH to go to DL again...and then we'll get APs...he's all about getting the most for your money!!! I can't wait to see them! I'm sure it's neat. I did see the Mickey one but only in an email.

Well, we are now just 2 MONTHS AWAY! The Repo thread has been amazing!!

We are also on our 50TH page for this thread! I have been reading my Passporter and Birnbaum books for DL and DCL 2005. I probably won't do too much more planning until school lets out....just 12.5 school days to go! :earsboy:

Who's gonna play Bingo? I played more days than not on our cruise last summer and I actually one once (about $160 if I remember correctly). This year I'm going to try to control myself and just play final Bingo.

What did everyone book for Palo, Spa, excursions, etc.?

We booked Palo for Brunch on Sunday at 11:30 am and dinner on Wednesday at 7:30 pm.

I booked the Elemis Spa Ocean Wrap with Half Body Massage for myself and the Elemis Aroma Stone Therapy Massage for DH on Friday at 9:30 am.

We didn't book any excursion through DCL.

We booked the Marigalante Pirate Tour through Vallartaonline.com (Thanks again, Lisa) in Puerto Vallarta. In Mazatlan we've booked Randi's Happy Horses. In Cabo we're going to catch a water taxi to the Melia/Mango Deck and just hang out on the beach.

My DD finished preschool today. DS has two more weeks of Kindergarten. We're off to the Disney resort at Hilton Head Island on 12 June!

We will be staying at the Grand Californian for two days, arriving on Thursday. I am sure my DD would like to meet your DS, as well as DD, JoAnn. Alex is very social, Briana my 15 year old is a little shy, so she will have to be coaxed. We are so looking forward to this trip, I have been working my butt off lately. I just bought a scrapbook store at the beginning of April and work almost 50 hours a week, so a vacation is well in order. I have read a little of the thread, and from what I have read, it seems like everyone is real nice. I hope we really get to meet, we went on the DCL in 2001 and talked to people on the discussion board, but only wound up meeting one family from NJ on the cruise. Anyway, my DH yelled at me for not getting back on the board sooner (as promised), so I will try to keep up with this every day now until the cruise, it will make me get more psyched (sp?). I am looking forward to meeting you.
Debi :cool1:

Kathy,
We booked the Canopy Adventure in Puerto Vallarta (I can't wait), my DH will be scuba diving there and in Cabo. We are also thinking of doing Randi's Happy Horses in Mazatlan. I am not sure when we booked Palo for brunch, I think it is either Sunday or Monday, my DH did all the booking. Haven't booked the spa yet though.
Debi

Hi all! It's been quite a week! Last weekend DH surprised me with a new car!!! :love2: My poor van was so bad that we cheered when it started! :rotfl:

DH and I went to the Reds game last night and it lasted 14 innings!!! I ended up with four hours sleep...........thank goodness school is almost over! TOMORROW IS OUR LAST DAY!!! :cool1: :bounce: :cheer2:

Now I need to start firming up stuff, like car arrangements and shuttle. I also need to get that Passporter ordered! How is it guys?? Anyone have any vibes yet about it???

:flower:

Debi,

My DH is SCUBA certified and would love to dive. The DCL dive excursion in Cabo is only a one tank dive and he would prefer a two-tank dive. He doesn't think a one-tank dive is worth the effort. Did your DH book his Cabo dive through DCL or on his own? It seems like a lot of people are planning on Randi's Happy Horses. It should be a lot of fun. Lisa, are you still planning to do it? I wonder how many horses she has? Randi confirmed our 8:30 am reservation. I think she also does an afternoon ride as well.

Kathy

Ok, so many of us are at GC before the cruise, I will read my Passporter and BB books and maybe we could all meet one time, if it's not too much trouble!! :goodvibes

We have also booked the canopy tour, what time are you going?? :confused3

I'm so jealous that your school year is over.........we have 12.5 school days left!! (3 weeks) and..........my second DD will graduate from HS on June 14th.!!UGH!! Where did the time go?????????????????????

At least our waiting time will pass quickly with all that is going on right now!! :grouphug:

Oh yea............I'm addicted to Bingo....... :wave2:

Joanne
12.5 days is nothing I have 8 weeks left!

We are not at the GC but Candy Cane Inn but we would love to meet up with you all at some point.

We are also on Randi's happy Horse excursion so i guess we'll all meet up there if no where else. After the ride we have booked to go on a tour of the town with Frank. We are only 2 and he can take 10 so if anyone is interested in joining us please PM me. He will collect us at 2:30pm and the tour is about 4 hours max. We have asked to see the old town , viewpoint and cliff divers. He is also looking into whether we can see the dance show that the ships tour goes to. Frank's tours do seem highly recommended.

In PV we are doing the canopy tour but not through the ship we are using the Los Veranos company which has received alot of recommendations on the cruise critic board.
In Cabo we are doing the ATV ride with shoretrips.
Is anyone going to try and book the dessert buffet at fantasmic?

Well, we've been busy on the boards today....so much to answer.

Kathy-I booked the Elemis Spa Ocean Wrap with Half Body Massage also...have you done this one before? I'm curious to hear about it from someone who's done it. Anyway, Liz booked Palo's tea for us on Sunday at 3pm, then we have Palo's brunch on Monday at 11am, and Palo's dinner on Wednesday at 7:30pm. We didn't book any DCL excursions either. We are doing the Pirate Sail in PV (we'll have to all meet up in the lobby and walk to the Margilante together) and I did book Randi's in Mazatlan but I'm still undecided if we'll do it. I'm thinking DS3 Drew won't be game for it. If we don't do that we'll do the beach. I read on the repo thread that Mazatlan has had the best shopping so far. In Cabo we've decided to enjoy the ship.

Debi and Kathy-Dustin (RDS912), one of our thread members mentioned he was going to scuba in one of the ports, can't remember which. Sounds like the guys have something in common!

My oldest is out of 1st grade on 6/11, hard to believe another year has gone by.

Can't believe we're in the 2 month range! Wow!!! :earseek:

Hi Lisa,

I haven't done the wrap/massage on DCL before but I've had similar treatments many times at various other spas. It shoud be very relaxing. I love to go on girls' spa weekends to Vegas. I try to do it at least once a year. My favorite is the Spa at Mandalay. DH had the Stone Massage on DCL last summer and loved it. He said that it was a must for him this year so I booked it for him on his birthday! Last year I did the Ionithermie Cellulite Reduction...it was awful!!!! They lay you out on a table and then attach electrodes around your waist, hips upper arms and thighs. They they send little (not comfortable) shocks through the electrodes to contract your muscles. What could make this worse you ask?....they then try to sell you hundreds of dollars of "magic" cellulite cream. I left there that day thinking what an idiot I was to have signed up for that torture and actually paid for it. I thought it would be interesting to try something new in a spa as I'm well acquainted with all of the usual suspects. I also had the Frangipani Hair & Scalp Ritual in the Salon. I would not recommend this as they just sit you in a reclining chair and tilt your head back into a shampoo sink...as your hairdresser would do to shampoo your hair...not very comfortable. The spa is infamous for the technician/therapist sales pitch during treatments. I have heard that if you write "No Sales Pitch" on your registration they will leave you alone. I intend to try that this year.

Lisa, we didn't book the Palo High Tea. Funny, as I'm a tea drinker. DH just didn't feel like getting "cleaned up" for a function that he has so little interest in. I've heard that it's very nice though.

I did take DD to Tea with Wendy last year and I will do it again this year and bring DS as well. I read that on the Repositioning Cruise there was a Tea with the Princesses. I wonder if that is replacing Tea with Wendy. I hope it is offered on our cruise!

Regarding Randi's Happy Horses in Mazatlan, I had the same concerns regarding my DD4 as you have about your DS3, Lisa. Randi assured me that she would be fine and if she didn't want to ride alone that she would have one of her guides ride with her. Randi sounds so wonderful. She replies so quickly to all email questions and I've read such glowing reviews of the excursion (...they make it sound like a life altering experience!) that we've got to try it.

Kathy

I've never done the Wine Tasting or Beer Tasting seminars on board. Either one of these interest anyone? Perhaps we could do this as a group. You sign up for this through Guest Services on board.

these are our bookings in PALO:
(we have two bookings, two families)

we thought we could choose one and then cancel the other when
we get there

Brunch we have booked:
Sunday at 11:00 AND Monday at 11:00
Dinner we have booked
Tuessday at 6:00 AND Wednesday at 6:00 (although I will not
miss Pirates Night in the dining room - gotta check when that is)

Please, I would LOVE to meet before the cruise also and of course ON the
cruise. We have DL planned for the day of arrival, Tuesday, July 26 and
Wed., and Friday. Thursday during the entire day we will be taking some kind of tour, haven't booked yet, of Hollywood, LA, and Universal. I don't know
when a good time would be....i know I'll be doing some laundry on Friday afternoon or evening before the cruise. Anyone, pick a time and we'll be
there (except Thursday during the day won't be an option for us).
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Kathy-I want to do the wine tasting...what's it called Stem to Stern? or something like that. I'm not sure DH is burning to do it, but I'm game for a group thing! If you want to do the tea, I'm sure you can join us, lets us know and we'll see if we can change the ressie. My DH actually wanted to go and I was like, ummm...go do a guy thing with JP (Liz's DH), let us gals have some gal thing to do for ourselves! Goodness gracious. Chuckle, chuckle...your spa experiences have sounded humorous, although I'm sure you didn't think so! Especially the paying for torture one! HA!!

Has anyone done the rainforest thing? Is it worth it...did ya love it or was it just OK?

Lucy-Pirate Night is Tuesday night. We also have Palo's at 11am and our Palo dining paths will cross again on Wednesday, although our ressie is at 7:30.

What dining rotations is everyone hoping for? We requested PLA...hopefully we'll get it.

The Magic is in Cabo today, it looks like it's tendered from the webcam....how beautiful!
