Lisa--yes I am feeling the pressure--hope between the two of us we get something worth posting. There's going to be other DIS'ers there too, so they will probably post too.

Lucy--I don't know of any store that's w/in walking distance to GC--there's an AM/PM, but I think it would be quite a hike. I'll ask DH--he grew up in Anaheim--maybe he'll know.

Debi--That is so cool that you have a scrapbooking store--I love to scrapbook!!

Have a great weekend everyone! :daisy:

We'll be in touch tomorrow w/ some Magic pictures :earboy2:

Debi
I've just got into scrapbooking it's really beginning to take off here in the UK, I've started with CM but I love going to stores and classes as well. Owning a scrapbook store would be heaven to me.

Lisa
On the 14 day trip they had a BBQ on deck the day they went through the canal and someone somewhere posted that a cm had said they were guinea pigs and that a BBQ would be a feature of all the west coast cruises because the ship wouldn't be stopping on castaway cay for cookies BBQ. Sounds fun to me I wonder what day they'll do it Mon? Fri?

All
I booked Blue Bayou 5pm on 27th July today, now it feels really close. gotta sit down tommorrow and decided if we want any character breakfasts, can't book the dessert balcony until 27th June cm said to be sure to be on the phone a couple of minutes before 8am pacific time apparently they sell out in 3 minutes. It sounds as bad as Cindys!

The BBQ sounds like a lot of fun to me...I too wonder what day they'll do it on. I kinda forgot the fact we don't have a Castaway Cay to visit!

I'm a scrapper too! Actually I'm a CM consultant but I'm more of a hobbiest these days! I do have a quarterly weekend crop for fun with my friends...we stay at a hotel for the weekend and rent out the conference room, scrapping until all hours. It's fun and the only time I seem to get anything done!!

Debi and Kathy,
The company I am using in Cabo for a 2 tank dive is Blue Adventures. It is $79 and the time is 9am depart back on the pier at 1pm. plenty of time to get on the boat. their web address is aventurasazul.com. You can PM me if you have any questions.

I booked Blue Bayou today too, but for lunch on the 27th.
We also went to our local Barnes & Noble and they just received
the Passporter TODAY, had 2 copies "in the back" - we got one
of them - guess what I'll be doing tonight?
(ah, girls, is scrapbooking more than throwing things in a box after
every trip? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )
On the day we leave for the ship, it is our son Bryan's birthday, 19.
Really don't want to order a cake at dinner, might miss a good dessert,
we'll see. Gotta be something we can do.
Have fun tomorrow Lisa and Liz!

If I recall correctly, Wine Tasting is on sea days at about 2:30pm. We should check with next week's cruisers to see if that's right!

:)

Why can't you have the cake AND the dessert?!? That would be my vote! Heck when I have my birthday cake, I plan on having the dessert as well...tee hee. That would be why I'm a size 12 and not a size 6!

We will have lots of fun tomorrow and we'll be sure to post pics and tell ya all about it. I'm pretty excited!

Lisa

Liz and Lisa - you ARE at the port, aren't you? :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

JoAnn - We are on the 9:30 Canopy Adventure, what time did you say you were going?
Lucy - We will be getting to the GC on Thurs afternoon, so we have a very short time there, I am not sure if we will be able to meet, but as time gets closer we will see what our plans are. My DH tried to book everything yesterday and they told him he had to wait until today (60 days out). Also, don't worry about Bryan's bday, we will definitely celebrate. My DD is definitely interested in meeting him too!
Kathy - We are also confirmed for 8:30 with Randi's Happy Horses, this should be fun!! I haven't ridden in years....
Dustin - Thanks for the scuba info, I will pass it along to my DH, he is definitely interested & Kathy, maybe your DH too will go, its nice that the guys have something in common.
Also sounds like some of the ladies have something in common with scrapbooking. Yes, I am like a kid in a candy shop in my store! LOL.

Anyway, we don't have an assigned Cabin yet, but we are a guaranteed Cat 5, we should be getting docs within the next few weeks, I will let you know the Cabin # then. My DH is Dominick (nickname Micco), I am 45 and he is 46. My 18 yr old DD is Alexandra (Alex) and my 15 year old DD is Briana.

Only 2 months till we leave for DL, can't wait to explore all the places we've never been to before!!!! :earboy2:
Debi

Hey Debi! We are also leaving at 9:30am for the Canopy Adventure! We'll see you there!! (I'm alittle scared!)

Great pics of the Magic arriving today on the LIVe thread, so cool! :cool1:

I have made contact with "albil"....I mentioned that he has been MIA....hopefully we will get an update soon from "thong" boy! :earseek:

JoAnn
That should be fun. I am psyched for it, it's like something they would do on the Amazing Race (love that show). :cool1:
Debi

I'm so excited
Lisa and Liz are there right now
I can't wait to see pictures
I've been thinking about them all day long!

BILL, oh, BILL, where art thou, Bill?
The "girls" are really missing you.....only two more months.....
please, we need a 'hello'
(girls, maybe he is busy packing!)

OK, someone tell me about this canopy adventure - do you think
our 19 yr. old would like it?

NYC tomorrow!

We saw the Magic today--there were several boats--including the fire one spraying out water--and a rainbow appeared in the spraying water as it went by--a touch of Disney Magic I say! There were helicopters, the blimp, and planes flying with banners--even a marching band. We got to hear the Make a Wish horn several times. Mickey and Minnie were on the ship too. It was all too much fun--we were all wishing that we were on the ship today--they looked like they were having a blast.

I am attaching a link for you to view some pictures at Shutterfly--it's free and I don't know how to download directly, so I hope it works.

Liz and I were thinking the same thing, at the same time! So, here are my pics from today...I too have mine in shutterfly.com.

We had so much fun and I was REALLY wishing I was leaving on the ship right then and there. It was something else, that's all I can say!

I just wanted to share something my son said. The fireboat which was shooting the water out had created a rainbow....my DS7 said, "Wow Mom, how did they make the rainbow happen?" I said, "It's Disney Magic!" In his mind he didn't think it was a creation of sunlight and water, but rather something Disney had done. It was really special!

CAN'T WAIT!! Oh, and we saw lots of DISers there watching!!!! :goodvibes

Liz

Loooooove your pictures :Pinkbounc ..... we were there too to see the MAGIC today. Ran out of film - DN took snapshots of the sea life before Magic hit the stage area. Viewing your pictures brought back wonderful memories of that day. we set sail on Aug 13. :cool1: Have fun on yours......

Lisa and Liz: just saying thank you is totally not enough for
what you girls gave us.....i've turned on my computer at 6:15 AM to
view these pictures. Please don't call me 'goofy' but they brought
tears to my eyes.
The rainbow: you did it all.....do you have connections?????
Lisa, thank you also for posting pictures of your family - your boys
are so beautiful (sorry, handsome). They are the cutest little guys
(brings back memories when mine were that cute!).
Thank you again, girls. I owe you! (let me be the first to treat you
to your first soda/lemonade/fruit punch/coffee on Deck 9 on board!)
Gotta get ready to visit NYC - more when I return.
You girls are GREAT.
(truthfully I'm glad that wasn't our cruise.....it would be over too soon)
Love 'ya both! Lucy
