Hey! July 30th, 2005 cruise to Mexico DISfriends!

Back before I was a stay at home mommy I worked for an aerospace company where I managed all the government repair contracts my company held with the US Navy, so I used to go to the Aviation Supply Office in Philly - I was there A LOT!!! I spend 12 years working with Navy folks and going to Philly, I loved it. I was originally born in NY and my family lives in northern NJ so I was able to see them a lot when I'd go to Philly. It was just a two hours drive away so I'd always tack on a few days. I'm not a gambler either but I have been to Atlantic City a few times too-I like the boardwalk.

In September, we went to Atlantic City on a bus trip, our high
school was performing in the Miss America Parade. The bus
left us off at Caesar's Casino, we walked thru the casino, went
outside, and as soon as I got on the boardwalk, I got pooped on
by one of those darn seagulls - all over my shoulder.
Needless to say, the friends we were with almost 'lost it' with
laughter - me? I didn't think it was too funny. I'm also not a
gambler - in fact, I was too stubborn to spend a quarter in a slot
machine, but bought the fudge/salt water taffey for my kids.

Come on people, more bios!

liserann....Good for you,My oldest son works /worked at ASO on occasion,my father retired out of ASO..... Of course, many changes have happened at all the East coast facilities...closures,consolidations,etc

Iwilliam... Those damm seagulls get all of us at one time or the other...!! your right ..no respect..!! in fact the last 2/3 times I had been surf fishing this past fall ,I caught seagulls 2 times...!!

Albill-small world isn't it? My motto is...you should ALWAYS behave no matter where you are, even if you're 10,000 miles from home because someone that somehow has a connection to you will be there to catch you.

I stopped working for Parker Aerospace five years ago this month and at that time the official name actually had changed from ASO to NAVICP-Naval Inventory Control Point...I prefer ASO. I made a lot of great friends there ......

of course, if it 's getting to extensive....we can find another way....

It seems there are 6 groups involved, unless there are others hiding someplace if so, lets hear from them...

Oh..... I might worry if it got down to 8000 miles ,just teasing....

Well, we haven't heard back from RDS912, littleowensmommy, pclare, macbaby, and byronandlara. These are all folks that had checked in on this thread at one time or another...maybe they're not going anymore? I also had someone who PM'd (personal message) with their info but they've never checked in on the thread. Sooooo, I'll wait a few more days and then I'll post our accumulated info of those active on the thread....

My university is on spring break starting today....I'll be lurking
a little more during the next week - lucky people you are.
I don't mind you posting the information for our thread, but
maybe the others don't wish the information to be public.
I can understand if we haven't heard back from some of the
people - I was on a thread already for Aug. 2006 and I dropped
out because it got out of hand.
I feel so comfortable with the people on this thread
Tonight we have a fund-raiser for the music association, a
pot-pie dinner (how many of you know what REAL Pa. Dutch pot-pie
is?).....

I know, it can become a full time job checking DIS!! So I too understand if we haven't heard from some. I'll just post the info of those who've already posted their info, that way no one gets upset.

Well, I've lost about 3lbs...so I'm pretty excited about that. As you all know, it's been hard work. Suddenly 40 lbs looks like it will take forever. I've been eating hearty salads every night (in place of a heavy meal) and that gets old after a while. Needless to say we've been going out for salad (with the dressing on the side...and of course...hold the bread ) A LOT. But since I can't exercise until my physical therapy is over, I'm taking drastic measures.

Do any of you scrapbook? i'm off to a big CM conference tomorrow and I've got to do a page to go in a joint album. Uninspired at present which is why I'm checking the DIS LOL

I'm a big scrapbooker! I'm a Creative Memories consultant...although it's my hobby, I don't treat it as a business. I really enjoy scrapbooking and I can't wait to scrap our cruise pictures!!!!!

You are asking someone if she scrapbooks, someone who throws her
pictures in a box and never gets around to putting them in an album!

BUT, I must say, since I'm going on the cruises, I usually buy a little
album on the ship and put those pictures in it. I know, I know, old
fashion - we do not, as of this date, own a digital camera - we are
almost afraid of it - but, till our cruise, we will have one. Any
suggestions on one of these - an easy digital, please.
Good old Lucy GAINED a lb. this past week - i'm not going to kick
myself....had a rough two weeks.

Ok, Ok, I'm back! Sheesh! I had a busy week, my DH sold our 20 year business on Tuesday!!

Thx Lucy, for spilling your guts about the age deal, hey, you're all among friends!! I'm not sure why my girls are both going to Temple but my oldest is really happy since she transferred there.

Tomorrow....I'm to WW after a week hiatus and it's looking touchy...the only good thing is that I am VERY good the couple days before the weigh-in.....

Anyway, YES!, I'm the relative who gambles in AC, I LOVE IT! In the winter, it's a great way to spend some time down the shore....

So, who's ready for spring????? (I'll settle for that right now!)

It will be myself(35) firefighter, wife (31) nurse, dd (5) and ds (2). No excursions in mazatlan, cabo I am gioing scuba diving (not on a disney excursion) and in PV we are going to the islan (disney excursion) we are in an inside gty and waitlisted for anything outside. we are also late seating. we will be staying at the Hyatt regency OC for three days before the cruise. anyone else out there dive?

I tried to scuba dive and could never get equalized so I gave up. Maybe it's a hint it's not my thing....so, what island tour are you going on in PV? Is it the pirate cruise? WE're doing that one. Happy to have you and your family!

One more week of school before our Spring Break! It has been a full moon for about two weeks according to my students! Everyone is so ready for a break, including me!
