12 more posts..............you can do it, Luce!!! :rotfl:  While I was away, I FINALLY SAW ONE OF THE MOVIES ON MY LIST!!!!!! I saw "The Devil Wears Prada!!" I really loved it! I had read the book and I thought the movie was really good, slightly different and so fun! Meryl Strep MUST be nominated, she was fabulous!! Since my daughters are into all the fashion "crap," it was really terrific!

Now, about the baseball, YES, I remember the glory days of the REDS. I remember that my brothers were obsessed with them so we kept track of their statistics and were so psyched when Rose joined our team (Phillies!) Jenny, you have a great black dress, no worries! :woohoo:

Glad the party went well, sorry about all the driving, Kathy.......the things we do to enrich our children's lives!!! :thumbsup2 So you will REALLY have earned that weekend away at the end of the month!! :yay:

Lucy, I ALSO HAVE TO GO TO A WEDDING on Saturday night. I have a black dress from our cruise last summer that I am wearing! I will see my work friends for the first time since school let out. It should be really fun! :cloud9:

Miss you Debster!!

Noone talking this morning. :confused3

Wish we would hear from Debi or Alex    :grouphug:

Bob just called me at work - he is "officially" (but NOT) on vacation :beach:
Just had a really important guy from Dallas, TX in the store, so they must work hard at making the store look perfect...he's been working his tail off the last few days...the guy just left, so Bob told me, "I'm ready for Florida"! :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS, you have GOT to talk to me, so I have an excuse ( :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ) to post....
Talk to me about our vacation, the excitement I'm feeling...it is, so, so, so,
unbelieveable that we will be together again :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Kathy, Kathy, Kathy, how many of us can say we had to "run to Williamsburg" - boy, would Bob love to say that - he LOVES Williamsburg, and the history of it...me? I love the shopping, and the restaurants (of course).

Ah, Jenny, I believe business attire is a tie and suit :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Who is Pete Rose? :rotfl: :rotfl2:

My personal shopper just called with two dresses for me to try. I cannot believe I have to buy a dress, but my other business style dress won't fit around my fat butt!!! :lmao: :lmao: Mark was going through my closet last night trying to find something that would work.... :sad2:

Remind me to tell you about Mark and the movie "The Devil..." Writing it just won't do the story justice! ;)

Off to go dress shopping!

I don't know, Lucy, it appears that you have been posting in other places!! 6 posts to go!!!!! Today the girls and I went food shopping for the first time in a month. It was so embarassing! I spent a fortune!

I don't understand the "devil" comment...........still thinking about the movie, you have to read the book and see the movie if you haven't....... :cheer2:

Ken & I are 26 today! How about that! And they said it wouldn't last!! So what are we doing.....................GOING TO DISNEYWORLD! ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo pluto: pooh: :eeyore:

However, I have some really bad news.............a few months ago, actually, while we were in FL together, Ken's oldest brother found out he had cancer (he's 51) and today we found out that Ken's dad has cancer too. :guilty: In both cases, the situation is bleak. I particularly feel bad for his mom, her oldest son (of 9 kids) a nd husband will be getting chemo at the same time. It's really creepy. So, please include both of them in your prayers and Ken could use a few. He's having a rough day. :rolleyes2 :sad1:  :( :worried:

Sorry to be a bummer but what a crazy situation.............so Jenny, really, you will look fine at the Reds event...........enjoy it!

I'm back from Day 2 of "running up to Williamsburg". The poor little guys is plum tuckered out as he also had a piano lesson this afternoon. I'm tired today and I'm not getting anything else done.

JoAnn, Happy anniversary! You were a child bride! I'm so sorry to hear about Ken's brother and father. What types of cancer to they have?

I'm going to take a nap.

Lucy, Ted has a personal shopper too. He hates to go shopping so his PS has all of his sizes and wardrobe pieces on file and he pulls stuff for him at my request during sales. If not for his PS, and a little help from me, Ted would be hopelessly out of style.

Hi guys - computer crashed this weekend, so I wasn't on. Trying to catch up real quick here at work on all your posts. Readin very fast before I get cut off by a phone call. I hate dial up!

JoAnn - Sorry to hear your news, we will keep all in our thoughts and prayers. But congrats on 26 years.

I was talking with Allie and she thinks she might be in such high demand when we come down, she might have to start charging by the hour. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Only kidding. Anyway, she will have her work schedule for that week soon, hope it's a good one. As far as Friday when she is off, we want to spend the day all together, doing whatever. We don't need to have ALONE time with her. She will be coming home on August 11th, so there'll be plenty of time to spend together then.

Been slow at work so now I am just counting the days (16) till we are in Florida. Plan on making a grocery run when we get down there, so let me know if anyone needs anything. Also, anyone getting dressed up for any of our dinners. Just let me know what you girls are wearing. I really don't feel like bringing dressy clothes.

Favorite rides:
Magic Kingdom - Buzz, Space Mountain, Pirates, Haunted Mansion
Epcot - Test Track, Soarin'
MGM - definitely Rock N Roller Coaster ( I will ride it again and again and again)

Briana starts SS tomorrow - you know all those Back to School ads, made just for her. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: At least I'm laughing and not crying.

Debi

First and foremost, JoAnn, I will keep your family, Ken, and both brother and father in my thoughts and prayers.

Debi Your attitude is great! She's just got to get through this stuff and leave it behind her.....all the way to WDW!!!!!!! :cheer2:

Kathy I really don't have a personal shopper!! :lmao: My mother works at a department store! I call her and she goes shopping. THen, she calls and reports in. Last, she has my charge number!! Saves me a lot of time! :moped:

I did, though find a dress a little bit ago at Kohl's all by myself!!!! :thumbsup2 On the clearance rack mind you! Nice A-line cut black sleeveless dress....just what the doctor ordered!!! Since I got it at such a great price, I told Mark I can justify the pedicure I will be getting!!! :rotfl2: He just shook his head! :smooth:

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KEN AND JOANN!!!!

Jenny, you have the BEST personal shopper. Does she pass on the associate discount? My dream is a friend/relative working at Nordstrom. You sound like me though...I tell Ted "the dress was on sale so the shoes were free." He calls it 'Kathy math'.

I was supposed to go out to dinner with some girlfriends tonight to celebrate one of their birthdays. The birthday girl cancelled though as her 18 mo old (Cooper...remember I babysat him last week) is cutting a couple of new teeth and kept her up most of the night. Ted was supposed to be home early so I could go out at 6pm. He called to say that he'd be late tonight. He totally forgot about my dinner. I'm not going to tell him that it was cancelled. I'm going to get some mileage out of his guilt for ruining our evening out. Can you believe he's survived 20 years with me?

Update, I just got a call back from Ted...he's on his way home.
Now what am I going to do?

you are NAUGHTY, girl! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Jenny, I have a personal shopper too - Bob - I just tell him what I need, and, if he can find it, he brings it.....i HATE shopping (except, sometimes I DO go to Kohl's, all by myself, and can find things....I like Kohl's because it is NOT a big store...I can go in the store, and be out in 30 minutes!). The ONLY huge store I like is the World of Disney, of course...I can get lost in that store...since I'm so short, noone, but noone, can ever find me. I tell them, just look in the jewelry department, I'll be drooling over Mickey jewelry. :cheer2:

Happy Anniversary, Kids!
another reason to celebrate in WDW! (do we NEED any more reasons...you betcha!) :cheer2: :bounce: :woohoo: :Pinkbounc :cool1: :grouphug:

Thx to all for the considerate greetings! Ken seems to be doing okay considering everything. Ken's brother has "hand" cancer which has spread to his lymph nodes and lungs; so far, I think Ken's dad has it in his throat and maybe lungs (they saw a mass on his chest.)

All I can say, is that "you only live once." We have to celebrate our health and happiness and be grateful for all our blessings. One of those blessings is visiting with you guys in a few weeks. I feel very lucky to have met each of you and I really enjoy our funny chats!!

On a brighter note, I got a candle for my anniversary!! (No kidding!) However, my real gift is a spa gift certificate! Ken & I are seeing Madonna on Thursday night also! We told some people that we were 26 and they truly didn't believe us and they asked us if we married in high school!!! :joker: We went to a restaurant called "Sea Blue" and it was pretty special!

GL to Bri, sorry, Jessica is at soccer camp and she has called us each night to tell us that she's doesn't like it and she can't sleep and she's coughing each night (she's miserable.) So we say, "Would you like us to pick you up?, and she says, 'No.'" It will be over tomorrow morning.....and then she has another one next week. Kids are fun, huh??? :stir: At least we don't have to drive with her while she's away!!!

I really want to know what Kathy did last night!!!! :rotfl:

your comment that "kids are fun" - at what point are they fun....I'm still waiting to have fun with them... :confused3 :furious:

Anyone wanna come over tonight until 8:00 - we have a tornado watch out for our area - and, of course, Bob is at work - I would LOVE adult company.

I have off tomorrow (again!) - we are seeing AIDA at a local playhouse....we want Tyler to see it so he knows what our musical is about this year.

I just made lunch reservations for Tchoup Chop, Emeril's restaurant located in the Royal Pacific REsort (his restaurant that we CAN afford)....Bob has always wanted to try this restaurant - not sure if the kids will go along or not but they both have watched Emeril Live. :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

Kathy - girl - we wanna know what happened last night! :confused3 :rolleyes1

I went out to dinner with one of the girls who was supposed to come to the birthday dinner. She didn't tell her husband that the birthday girl cancelled either and what makes it even funnier is that her husband works with Ted. We both really need our vacation in August.

Day 3 in Williamsburg went well...no traffic. The drive is actually pretty easy. I don't know why I'm so tired in the afternoon though. The kids and I have a quiet weekend on tap. Ted is working all weekend though.

He's been super busy at work. He has to send one of his GI staff physicians down to GITMO (Cuba) on Saturday for 10 days (per orders from above) to scope detainees (enemy combatants). He's pretty upset about it as his clinic now has to reschedule all of that provider's patients. He says that only 40% of the U.S. population has access to screening colonoscopies and for whatever reason the 'powers that be' have decided that these detainees deserve better access to care than most Americans receive. A good friend of mine is an active duty dermatologist and she has had to go down there to treat detainees. She says they are vile individuals. The political mess down there is not going away anytime soon unfortunately.

JoAnn, I've never heard of "hand" cancer. Is it skin cancer?

Thx for the update, Kathy, good thinking!! (Make sure Ted doesn't read our thread for a little while!!) :thumbsup2 That's really creepy about the detainee stuff, I wouldn't want those orders!!! Yikes!! :guilty:
The hand cancer is inside the middle of his hand, I don't know about these things, maybe Ted does, but evidently he's had several hand tramas over the years and it's related to that. The surgery could require a prosthesis which is the business Ken's family owns. It's all really unfortunate. :grouphug:

I bought a dress and shoes today and I made a hair appointment for Saturday. You all inspired me with your personal shoppers, etc.!! Don't get excited, I didn't look that good in the dress, but I have to work with what I have! :smooth:

Your dinner plans sound cool, Lucy, special dinners like that are worth it.....just go alone with Bob and splurge!!! :woohoo:

Everyone have a great night and, Lucy, just watch the weather channel...... :sunny: !! Tonight is "So You Think You Can Dance Night." Put that on if you get too nervous! party:

John ate at Emerils Cajun restaurant at City Walk last week! His step-mom loves lamb and told me that it was the most fabulous lamb she had ever had! He and his step-sisterordered Fettuchini Alfredo. He said it was the best he ever had!

Woo-Woo JoAnn!! You are going to be a babe!!! :woohoo:

I am not telling what I bought today! :lmao:

Hi guys. Weather here is terrible, just had a downpour and some heavy thunderstorms. I think there was a tornado up in Westchester. I have to go back to work in about 45 min, not looking forward to it. Wish I could just stay home one Wednesday night.

Kathy - Thanks for the update, glad you had a good time, but like JoAnn said, keep Ted off the board. tee hee

Lucy - We were in New Orleans several years ago and ate at Emeril's NOLA restaurant. Expensve, but one of the best dining experiences I have ever had.

Only 15 more days till the Bolusi's head south, we can't wait. :woohoo: :woohoo: I am really ready for a party!

Debi

Hey Debster, hang in there!! We will be jammin' soon!! :dance3: The Jellyrolls idea is sounding sweeter, Jenny!!

Lucster, we're having a night and a half around here with the ladies............I know you know what I mean!! The good side of this is that, if this keeps up, I'll be looking forward to the beginning of school...............yikes!!! :teacher:

Did anyone notice that I have a similar signature to Jenny's?? I copied her idea.............is it too big??? :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

your signature is NOT too big..remember, your father can't even spell your name...hopefully this will help. Maybe last night, with the girls, it was the weather that caused "your night"...I asked Bryan a simple question, and he looked at me like i was the dumbest mom (i asked him if he has seen any
movies lately! :confused3 - and this was a difficult question! :confused3 ) :furious: :furious: :furious:

Debi - I've been thinking of you this morning and last night (and always, as a matter of fact) - saw the news and how the storms hit NY - everything
OK? :confused3 :confused3

I believe Lucy is getting close to the 1,000 post - it is a surprise that "she" can always find something to talk about, isn't it? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hey, guys, next week at this time I will HOPEFULLY be on a plane, heading to Florida... :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cool1:
