Congratulations on 48 years together!!! I'll bet JoAnn has already started planning your 50th bash for 2008!

Jenny, Could you please email me with that WDW packing list. I probably don't need it for this solo trip but I'm sure it will come in handy for August and October. I'm going to forward it to my friend who will be joining us with her kids in August.

It's going to be like a daycare here in a couple of hours. Two of my friends called me within an hour of each other yesterday, asking if I was free to watch their kids for a few hours today. We all switch around and I definitely owe them both. So at 8am Cole (5) and Jack (2) arrive. Their mom is due back around noon. At 10:30am Hannah (6), Jack (4) and Cooper (19mo) arrive. They'll be here until 1pm. It's going to be a rainy day so they'll all be playing inside. Owen and Amy are excited. I'll be napping this afternoon for sure! I'm praying I don't have to change a diaper!

Kathy ~ The list is coming your way! OMG!! I could not, would not succomb myself to all those small children! I enjoy my job, but NO WAY could I survive an morning like that!! My three is one thing, but to put someone else's kids in the mix.............. :sad2: It's funny, after working with kids all day, the last thing I want is someone else's kids around! :lmao: You are amazing! :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

Thanks for the confirmation, Debi....JoAnn was right on! :thumbsup2 Now, I have it all written down, I will remember! that's if I don't lose the post-it I have it written on!! :lmao: :lmao:

Today is painting day......Mark told me he didn't care what I did to the house this summer, but all projects must be completed before WDW! So, I have to paint that room and hang pictures in it and John's new room. Then it's ironing and packing time!!!

We get back to our house on Aug. 6th (stopping in Cincy for five games :cheer2: after WDW!) I go back to work the next Monday (8/14). :teacher: :sad2:  Yes, it will be JoAnn's turn to support me :beach: from her seaside resort! THat means next week I will be in my classroom doing some stuff just so that I don't have to be there all week the week of Aug. 7th! :rolleyes1 My kids will be in VBS all morning next week, so it's a perfect time to work! We have a full week of things the week we come back including baseball and King's Island! It's the last HURRAH! :cheer2:

It's so close guys!!! :grouphug: :woohoo:

VBS? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I have no idea what I was about to write - got interrupted - hey, it is ONLY 7:56 AM!

Oh, yea,

Happy Anniversary Bill and Alice
you poor, poor woman!

JoAnn - when is the party - AND WHERE? I want to be available...could it
be Disney themed...and since it is in the summer....what better place...
let's see...at the GRAND...perfect....Victoria and Albert's...perfect.....
YOU PAY!...perfect :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh, Kathy....I would take the baby...anytime....that's about it....I've DONE MY TIME, girl...I'm FINISHED....got enough with the 19/20 yr. old...another miserable night with him.....well, let's just say...a miserable 30 minutes! (that's all it takes!) :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

Wow, it's such deja vu, hearing about you setting up your classroom, Jenny. ;) I remember you saying that you were working on it before last summer's cruise! I have completely stripped my classroom this year because things were falling down and getting on my nerves so I'm redoing everything. :smooth: Once my battery is recharged I guess I have to go back and start putting it back together, yikes.....if I do it in small bits it won't be too bad! Don't work too hard!

Sorry, Lucy, I completely understand, we are still "negotiating" around here as well! My girls haven't been too bad but we have to deal with "the boyfriends" as well. Somehow, my daughter driving all over the place to go out with her BF does not appeal to me! :furious: I believe in the traditional, boy picks up girl system (with some flexibility of course!)Here's a cuddle, to get you through! :grouphug:

I'm going to try to see Devil tonight! popcorn:: GL Kathy with the playgroup! :dance3: I'm sure the kids will entertain each other while you relax! :rolleyes1 hahahahahahahaha :happytv: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
(Sorry I couldn't resist!)

I'm also obsessed with "So You Think You Can Dance." Anyone else watching it? :teeth:

Hey Debi, we need updates about the girls!!! :listen:

Lynn, you must be closing in on the finish line? I have been looking into tix for Broadway in October. I found MP for about $95+ so far. How does that sound?

I can understand why Kathy didn't write in, but where is everyone else?? :confused3

Kathy - Sounds like you had yourself quite a day there girlfriend. Don't miss those days. At least when my kids get together, they don't have to be watched...or do they... :confused3

Anyway, I took Briana to get her Learner's Permit today. That's one test she passed. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: It's weird how it works here in NYC though. Even with an LP they cannot drive unless they are in Driver's Ed or in a car that has the brake pedals on the passenger side (gee, not to sure, but I don't know anyone who has a car like that) So at 17, they get their driver's license (after passing their road test) and then you are supposed to just let them go. I DON'T THINK SO! So in this house, we kind of play dumb and allow the kids to drive a little with us in the car. That's how I learned to drive in Long Island. Most places allow you to drive with an LP as long as there is a licensed driver in the car with you. Then she will also take Driver's Ed next year in school, as well as private driving lessons. This is what we did with Alex and it really works. She got 5 driving lessons (1 hour each), which taught her everything she didn't learn in Driver's Ed. You drive the same car every week and then the instructor takes you for your road test in that car. It's worth the $150 or whatever we paid for it. She didn't learn much in Driver's Ed, she learned much more with the private lessons.

As for Alex, she requested and got the day off on the 28th, so she will be able to spend the day with us as a human and not a ::MinnieMo She should know her schedule soon. Only 3 weeks from today, I am really getting excited!!!

Oh, did anyone notice, this is my 300TH POST

Debi

Congratulations on your 300th post Debi!!! :cool1: I am anxious to hear Alex's schedule. I am lobbying for Chef Mickey!

How did it go Kathy or have you woke up from your nap??? :rotfl2:

JoAnn ~ I didn't post more today because I painted all day. I am whipped!! Mark is taking me out to Cheeseburger in Paradise for margaritas here in a little bit! I do deserve that! The room looks pretty good. I am not a painter, but did my best!! :artist:

Lucy must be out eating Elephant Ears at the festival AGAIN tonight!!! :lmao: She's been quiet since they opened up that festival!!

I am with you Debi!! I am excited too!! :cheer2:

when i talk too much, and when I don't talk....what the HECK are elephant ears? :confused3
YEP, Bob and I visited the festival AGAIN last night...see so many people we know....and YES, Bob CAN keep up with me :chat: , SOME DAYS. :lmao:

Lucy will work till noon again today...heck, I worked, well, I was here, till closing yesterday, then I will once again see Tyler in the show.
The festival has been a real success, with the exception of one rainy day.
Tyler found out yesterday he IS getting a small paycheck for being in the
show, he is happy. Better than nothing. :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
I reminded him about being on the Boardwalk in two weeks and all those games he loves to play. Speaking of two weeks, OMG, I can't believe it is almost here - am I excited?!!! What do you think :Pinkbounc :cool1:

Debi, SO, what are WE gonna do with Alex? Seriously, i know you guys want to spend time with her...we'll give you some family time (at LEAST an hour)! :rotfl2: I truly hope she tells us her schedule when we get down there (before all of you arrive) - gotta see this girl in action! :woohoo: :woohoo:

JoAnn - it is SO true when Jenny starts talking classroom...I don't want to think about it and it is almost here...once school begins here, so does play practice, and our busy schedules. These summers move along too quickly. :sad1: :sad1: :furious:

Kathy: YEP, we DO have our tickets for the Mickey Not So Scary....we have tickets for October 6 (Friday night) - just the three of us...Bob and I are having a (very) little disagreement how long we wanna stay...I only want to take Tyler out of school two days (Thursday and Friday, he has off Monday).
Now that he is in high school, I don't want him to miss at all...but he must if we want to see this...we don't have airline tickets yet.

Lynn: almost over for you?

Jenny: must have been a good game again last night - i saw they lost by one run. We don't even mention the team from PA anymore....yikes!

They are a large, flat, deep fried dough (bigger than a paper plate!) that is brushed with butter and COVERED in cinnamon and sugar! :yay: OMG So good and FATTENING!!!!!! :rolleyes1 I thought those were a US thing, but must be midwest! :confused3 Isn't this the 2nd day I have confused you? Whew! you are high maintenance!! :dance3: :dance3:

We stink!! We have lost 6 in a row. :confused3 The last two were in 13 and 10 inning! Worse off one pitcher was just arrested after taking a girl to dinner and she "followed" him to his hotel. You take it from there.... THank goodness the All-Star break is coming! :lmao: Now you know why we went out last night instead of watching all the game. :rotfl2:

does anyone remember BeaverTails....they were awesome....why do they (WDW) get rid of the good snacks. The best meal we always got was the Adventureland Verandah hamburgers, they were teriyaki burgers....was always our first and last meals...served eggrolls too and fried rice...right where you go over the bridge in Adventureland, to the right - the building is now vacant. I also enjoyed the OLD food court in The Land, although
I'm hearing good things about the new one. I'll check it out while I'm sitting waiting for everyone to go on Soarin - I tried it once...I don't need to do it again...remember, I'm the wooooosie!
What else...oh, yea, the italian place in EPCOT, by Innovations..we loved that place too. Now they just have character greetings - HEY, maybe we will see Minnie there.
SEE, guys, it is ALL about food with me, not rides...and that is why I look like I look, sorry... :furious:

Hey, Lucy, we love your posts, keep 'em comin'. I love hearing about everyone's insider tips that we don't know about!

Jessica got her permit about a month ago, so I'm in hot flash mode on a daily basis( you know every time she drives me around, I break out into a flash sweat)...............yesterday, I believe, Lynn heard me scream "BRAKE" when Jessica was accelerating into another car!! :guilty:

I wonder what happened to Kathy? Remember yesterday when she had that playgroup?? :rotfl:

3 weeks from today for us!! :moped: If Ken and I don't kill each other in the next few weeks, this should be fun! I received all the documents last week! :lovestruc

I've thought it over and I'm not planning to work on my classroom until August. I'm just not ready yet! :confused3

Let us know how you want to handle Friday, Debi, I'm sure you and Alex have a lot of catching up to do!! :grouphug:

I miss the wonton chips at the Tambu Lounge that had a mango/pineapple salsa dip. HMMM.....I LOVED the Pinocchio salad they used to have at the Pinocchio House in Fantasyland. Mark and Marshall liked the ice cream and watching the dancing girls (in no particular order) in the saloon (like father like son!).

The place in Epcot where the character greeting is was where we met our own ::MinnieMo along with :goofy: :donald: pluto: and a few others!

I also miss the original Minnie bars. They had some kind of coating on the outside that was SO GOOD. I miss the Donald bar as well (orange juice bar).

JUST DON'T GET RID OF THE DOLE WHIP FLOATS!!!

Lucy - Are there any rides you do go on? Maybe the carousel or Dumbo? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I know, you probably like It's A Small World.

Alex saw Pirates last night, she said she loved it, even though it got mixed reviews. All the hype is about Pirates right now. I would like to try to see it before we go down. I think the ride was re-opening today, it's one of our favorites. Hey Lucy will you ride that?

Debi

Ms. Debi, I want to tell you girl....I DO ride Pirates, actually just started riding it 3 years ago....when I got brave! :lmao: :lmao: (I'm serious!Bob will
agree!)
AND, Ms. Debi, I don't ride much, but Test Track is my FAVORITE wild ride :cheer2: :cool1: I LOVE that thing.
Figment is good...the boat ride in The Land is good.
NOW, talk about MK - I LOVE Snow White, Peter Pan, and the People Mover....hmmmmm, shocked 'ya, didn't I? :cool1: :Pinkbounc Dumbo can be a little overwhelming, and I'm scared of those darn horses on the carousel, I fear one will remain real high and I won't be able to get off!
At MGM, it is The Great Movie Ride, all the way.
At Animal Kingdom, the Safari Ride...that can be wild, you know (AND, I used to like Kali, until you started getting SOAKED)
So, girlfriend, there! :cheer2:

I survived yesterday morning with all the kids...they were actually very well behaved.

Ted and I just got home from seeing 'Pirates'. We definitely won't be taking the kids. I think I liked the first one better. We went out for a wonderful dinner after the movie. Now I'm ready for bed.

Amy's party is on Sunday afternoon. Hopefully we'll get good weather since it's a pool party. She's very excited.

Welcome back, Kathy, we were worried!! :goodvibes

Hey Lucy, unfortunately, I can totally relate to your favorite rides.....mine are:

MK: Pirates, Big Thunder, Peter Pan, Buzz, Small World
AK: Kali Rapids, Safari, Bug's Life
EPCOT: The Land Boat Ride, Figment, Spaceship Earth, Ellen's Adventure
MGM: Movie Ride, Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast

So you see you are in good company! :grouphug:

Today Jessica wanted to drive in a city area but since she has never changed lanes I wouldn't let her. So she wouldn't get out of the driver's seat so I put the car in park and pulled the keys out of the ignition at a stop sign.......................let the games continue................... :yay:

Lucy and JoAnn Ya gotta live a little girls!!! :rolleyes1 Mallory thinks she is going to get you on Splash Mountain, Lucy, so get prepared! I will have to share with her JoAnn your fears too. Wait, we're talking a 7 year old getting you two grown women on a ride?? :confused3 Hello! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: You should be ashamed! THe way my back has been lately, I probably shouldn't ride anything beyond Dumbo! :sad2:

So Kathy you are saying Pirates was too scary for the kids? popcorn:: Marshall is so wanting to see it today. pirate:Mark told him they would go. Mallory and I will opt for Cars. I won't even think about her going to Pirates!

Look at our tickers (well, Lucy NEVER has one..what's up with that? :confused3 ) We'll be at WDW before you know it!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
